Bible Question:
Hi, Every living thing on this earth was destroyed by the big flood except those living things inside the ark built by Noah. After the flood subsided, there appeared a rainbow and God said "this rainbow will remind me never to destroy all the living things on this earth again"But this world, according to the Bible, will be destroyed again at the end of end time. Your comments, please. With Love in Christ FytRobert |
Bible Answer: In God's covenant with Noah, He never promised that the earth would endure forever. In Gen. 9:15 He said, "The waters shall no more become a FLOOD (emphasis added) to destroy all flesh." In Gen. 8:22 He said, "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest...shall never cease." The key phrase here is "while the earth remains." It will end when God wills it to end, but not by flood. Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."
