And ¹you ²were ^adead ³in your offenses and sins, 2 in which you ^apreviously walked according to the ¹course of ^bthis world, according to ^cthe prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in ^dthe ²sons of disobedience. 3 Among them ¹we too all ^apreviously lived in ^bthe lusts of our flesh, ²indulging the desires of the flesh and of the ³mind, and were ^cby nature ^dchildren of wrath, ^ejust as the rest. 4 But God, being ^arich in mercy, because of ^bHis great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were ^adead ¹in our wrongdoings, made us alive together ²with Christ ^b(by grace you have been saved), 6 and ^araised us up with Him, and ^bseated us with Him in ^cthe heavenly places in ^dChrist Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the ¹boundless ^ariches of His grace in ^bkindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For ^aby grace you have been saved ^bthrough faith; and ¹this is not of yourselves, it is ^cthe gift of God; 9 ^anot a result of works, so that ^bno one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, ^acreated in ^bChrist Jesus for ^cgood works, which God ^dprepared beforehand so that we would ^ewalk in them.

11 Therefore remember that ^apreviously ^byou, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “^cUncircumcision” by the so-called “^dCircumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, ^1aexcluded from ²the people of Israel, and strangers to ^bthe covenants of the promise, having ^cno hope and ^dwithout God in the world. 13 But now in ^aChrist Jesus you who ^bpreviously were ^cfar away ¹have ^dbeen brought near ^2eby the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is ^aour peace, ^bwho made both groups into one and broke down the ¹barrier of the dividing wall, 15 ¹by ^aabolishing ²in His flesh the hostility, which is ^bthe Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might ^3cmake the two ^done new person, in this way establishing ^epeace; 16 and that He might ^areconcile them both in ^bone body to God through the cross, ¹by it having ^cput to death the hostility. 17 And ^aHe came and preached ^bpeace to you who were ^cfar away, and peace to those who were ^dnear; 18 for through Him we both have ^aour access in ^bone Spirit to ^cthe Father. 19 So then you are no longer ^astrangers and foreigners, but you are ^bfellow citizens with the ¹saints, and are of ^cGod’s household, 20 having been ^abuilt on ^bthe foundation of ^cthe apostles and prophets, ^dChrist Jesus Himself being the ^ecornerstone, 21 ^ain whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into ^ba holy ¹temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being ^abuilt together into a ^bdwelling of God in the Spirit.

11 Therefore, remember that ^aformerly ^byou—the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “^cUncircumcision” by the so-called “^dCircumcision,” which is performed in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that you were at that time without Christ, ^aalienated from the citizenship of Israel, and strangers to ^bthe covenants of promise, having ^cno hope and ^dwithout God in the world. 13 But now in ^aChrist Jesus you who ^bformerly were ^cfar off ¹have ^dbeen brought near ^eby the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is ^aour peace, ^bwho made both groups one and broke down the dividing wall of the partition 15 ¹by ^aabolishing in His flesh the enmity, ^bthe Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might ^ccreate the two into ^done new man, making ^epeace, 16 and might ^areconcile them both in ^bone body to God through the cross, having in Himself ^cput to death the enmity. 17 AND ^aHE CAME AND PREACHED ^bTHE GOOD NEWS OF PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE ^cFAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE ^dNEAR; 18 for through Him we both have ^aour access in ^bone Spirit to ^cthe Father. 19 So then you are no longer ^astrangers and sojourners, but you are ^bfellow citizens with the ¹saints, and are of ^cGod’s household, 20 having been ^abuilt on ^bthe foundation of ^cthe apostles and prophets, ^dChrist Jesus Himself being the ^ecorner stone, 21 ^ain whom the whole building, being joined together, is growing into ^ba holy ¹sanctuary in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being ^abuilt together into a ^bdwelling of God in the Spirit.

And you He made alive when you were spiritually ^adead and separated from Him because of your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you ^aonce walked. You were following the ways of ^bthis world influenced by this present age, in accordance with ^cthe prince of the power of the air (Satan) , the spirit who is now at work in ^dthe disobedient the unbelieving, who fight against the purposes of God. 3 Among these unbelievers we all ^aonce lived in ^bthe passions of our flesh our behavior governed by the sinful self, indulging the desires of ¹human nature without the Holy Spirit and the impulses of the sinful mind. We were, ^cby nature, ^dchildren under the sentence of God’s wrath, ^ejust like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being so very ^arich in mercy, because of ^bHis great and wonderful love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were spiritually ^adead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us spiritually alive together with Christ (^bfor by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment). Rom 6:1-10 6 And He ^araised us up together with Him when we believed, and ^bseated us with Him in ^cthe heavenly places, because we are in ^dChrist Jesus, 7 and He did this so that in the ages to come He might clearly show the immeasurable and unsurpassed ^ariches of His grace in His ^bkindness toward us in Christ Jesus by providing for our redemption. 8 For it is ^aby grace God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ that you have been saved actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life ^bthrough faith. And this salvation is not of yourselves not through your own effort, but it is ^cthe undeserved, gracious gift of God; 9 ^anot as a result of your works nor your attempts to keep the Law, so that ^bno one will be able to boast or take credit in any way for his salvation. 10 For we are His workmanship His own master work, a work of art, ^acreated in ^bChrist Jesus reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used for ^cgood works, which God ^dprepared for us beforehand taking paths which He set, so that we would ^ewalk in them living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us. Rom 1:20

11 Therefore, remember that ^aat one time ^byou Gentiles by birth, who are called “^cUncircumcision” by those who called themselves “^dCircumcision,” itself a mere mark which is made in the flesh by human hands— 12 remember that at that time you were separated from Christ excluded from any relationship with Him, ^aalienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to ^bthe covenants of promise with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements, having ^cno hope in His promise and living in the world ^dwithout God. 13 But now at this very moment in ^aChrist Jesus you who ^bonce were so very ^cfar away from God have ^dbeen brought near ^1eby the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is ^aour peace and our bond of unity. ^bHe who made both groups— Jews and Gentiles—into one body and broke down the barrier, the dividing wall of spiritual antagonism between us, 15 by ^aabolishing in His own crucified flesh the hostility caused by ^bthe Law with its commandments contained in ordinances which He satisfied; so that in Himself He might ^cmake the two into ^done new man, thereby establishing ^epeace. 16 And that He might ^areconcile them both Jew and Gentile, united in ^bone body to God through the cross, thereby ^cputting to death the hostility. 17 AND ^aHE CAME AND PREACHED THE GOOD NEWS OF ^bPEACE TO YOU Gentiles WHO WERE ^cFAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE Jews WHO WERE ^dNEAR. Is 57:19 18 For it is through Him that we both have ^aa direct way of approach in ^bone Spirit to ^cthe Father. 19 So then you are no longer ^astrangers and aliens outsiders without rights of citizenship, but you are ^bfellow citizens with the saints (God’s people) , and are members of ^cGod’s household, 20 having been ^abuilt on ^bthe foundation of ^cthe apostles and prophets, with ^dChrist Jesus Himself as the chief ^eCornerstone, 21 ^ain whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues to increase growing into ^ba holy temple in the Lord a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord. 22 In Him and in fellowship with one another you also are being ^abuilt together into a ^bdwelling place of God in the Spirit.
