Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to be careful with the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they dedicate to Me, so as not to profane My holy name; I am the LORD. 3 Say to them, ‘^aAny man among all your ¹descendants throughout your generations who approaches the holy gifts which the sons of Israel consecrate to the LORD, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from My presence; I am the LORD. 4 ^aNo man of the ¹descendants of Aaron, who has ²leprosy or has a discharge, may eat of the holy gifts until he is clean. ^bAnd one who touches anything made unclean by a corpse, or ^ca man who has a seminal emission, 5 or ^aa man who touches any swarming things by which he is made unclean, or touches any person by whom he is made unclean, whatever his uncleanness; 6 a ¹person who touches any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy gifts unless he has bathed his ²body in water. 7 But when the sun sets, he will be clean, and afterward he may eat of the holy gifts, for ^ait is his ¹food. 8 He shall not eat ^aan animal which dies or is torn by animals, becoming unclean by it; I am the LORD. 9 They shall therefore perform their ^aduty to Me, so that ^bthey do not bear sin because of it and die by it because they profane it; I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

10 ‘^aNo ¹layman, however, is to eat the holy gift; a foreign resident with the priest or a hired worker shall not eat the holy gift. 11 ^aBut if a priest buys a ¹slave as his property with his money, ²that person may eat of it, and those who are born in his house may eat of his ³food. 12 If a priest’s daughter is married to a ¹layman, she shall not eat of the ²offering of the holy gifts. 13 But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or divorced, and has no child and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s ¹food; ^abut no ²layman shall eat of it. 14 ^aIf, however, someone eats a holy food unintentionally, then he shall add to it a fifth of it and shall give the holy food to the priest. 15 And ^athey shall not profane the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they offer to the LORD, 16 and thereby ^abring upon them ¹punishment for guilt by eating their holy gifts; for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”

17 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 18 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and say to them, ‘^aAnyone of the house of Israel or of the strangers in Israel who presents his offering, whether it is any of their ¹vows or any of their ²voluntary offerings, which they present to the LORD as a burnt offering— 19 ^afor you to be accepted—it must be a male without defect ¹from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats. 20 ^aWhatever has a defect, you shall not offer, for it will not be accepted for you. 21 When someone offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD ^ato fulfill a special vow or for a ¹voluntary offering, ²of the herd or ³of the flock, it must be without defect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it. 22 Those that are blind, fractured, maimed, or have a wart, a festering rash, or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD, nor make of them an offering by fire on the altar to the LORD. 23 Now as for an ox or a lamb which has an ¹overgrown or stunted member, you may present it as a ²voluntary offering, but for a vow it will not be accepted. 24 Also ^aanything with its testicles squashed, crushed, torn off, or cut off, you shall not offer to the LORD, nor ¹sacrifice in your land, 25 nor shall you offer any of these animals taken from the hand of a ¹foreigner ^aas the ²food of your God; for their deformity is in them, they have an impairment. They will not be accepted for you.’”

26 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 27 “When an ox or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall ¹remain ^aseven days ²with its mother, and from the eighth day on it will be considered acceptable as a sacrifice of an offering by fire to the LORD. 28 ^aBut, whether it is an ox or a sheep, you shall not slaughter both it and its young in one day. 29 When you sacrifice ^aa sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted. 30 It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until morning. I am the LORD. 31 ^aSo you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am the LORD.

32 “And you shall not profane My holy name, but I will be sanctified among the sons of Israel; I am the LORD who sanctifies you, 33 ^awho brought you out from the land of Egypt, to be your God; I am the LORD.”

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to be careful with the holy things (offerings, gifts) which the children of Israel dedicate to Me, so that they do not profane My holy name; I am the LORD. 3 Say to them, ‘^aAny one of your descendants throughout your generations who approaches the holy things which the Israelites dedicate to the LORD, while he is ceremonially unclean, that person shall be cut off from My presence and excluded from the sanctuary; I am the LORD. 4 ^aNo man of the descendants of Aaron who is a leper or has a discharge may eat the holy things the offerings and the showbread until he is clean. ^bAnd whoever touches any person or thing made unclean by contact with a corpse or ^ca man who has had a seminal emission, 5 or ^awhoever touches any crawling thing by which he is made unclean, or any person by whom he is made unclean, whatever it may be, Lev 11:24-28 6 the person who touches any such thing shall be unclean until evening and shall not eat the holy things unless he has bathed his body in water. Heb 10:22 7 When the sun sets, he will be clean, and afterward he may eat the holy things, for ^ait is his food. 8 He shall not eat that ^awhich dies of natural causes or is torn by a predator, becoming unclean by it; I am the LORD. 9 Therefore the priests shall observe ^aMy ordinance, so that ^bthey will not bear sin because of it and die if they profane it; I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

10 ‘^aNo layman that is, someone outside of Aaron’s family is to eat the holy gift which has been offered to God; a foreigner residing with the priest or a hired man shall not eat the holy thing. 11 ^aBut if a priest buys a slave as his property with his money, the slave may eat the holy thing, and those who are born in the priest’s house; they may eat his food. 12 If a priest’s daughter is married to a layman one not part of the priestly tribe, she shall not eat the offering of the holy things. 13 But if a priest’s daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she shall eat her father’s food; ^abut no layman shall eat it. 14 ^aBut if a person unknowingly eats a holy gift which has been offered to God, then he shall add one-fifth of its value to it and give the holy gift to the priest. 15 ^aThe priests shall not profane the holy things the Israelites offer to the LORD, 16 and so cause them by neglect of any essential observance ^ato bear the ¹punishment of guilt when they eat their holy things; for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”

17 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 18 “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites and say to them, ‘^aAny man of the house of Israel or any stranger in Israel who presents his offering, whether to fulfill any of their vows or as any of their freewill (voluntary) offerings which they presented to the LORD as a burnt offering— 19 ^aso that you may be accepted—it must be a male without blemish from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats. 20 You shall not offer ^aanything which has a blemish, because it will not be accepted for you. 1+@Pet 1:19 21 Whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD ^ato fulfill a special vow to the LORD or as a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it. 22 Animals that are blind or fractured or mutilated, or have a sore or a running wound or an itch or scabs, you shall not offer to the LORD nor make an offering of them by fire on the altar to the LORD. 23 For a freewill offering you may offer either a bull or a lamb which has an overgrown or stunted member (deformity) , but for the payment of a vow it will not be accepted. 24 You shall not offer to the LORD ^aany animal which has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut off, or sacrifice it in your land. 25 Nor shall you offer ^aas the food of your God any such animals obtained from a foreigner, because their corruption and blemish makes them unfit; there is a defect in them, they shall not be accepted for you.’”

26 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 27 “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall remain for ^aseven days with its mother; and after the eighth day it shall be accepted as an offering by fire to the LORD. 28 ^aAnd whether the mother is a cow or a sheep, you shall not kill both it and its young in one day. 29 When you sacrifice ^aan offering of thanksgiving to the LORD, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted. 30 It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until the next morning; I am the LORD. 31 ^aSo you shall keep My commandments and do them; I am the LORD.

32 “You shall not profane My holy name using it to honor an idol, or treating it with irreverence or contempt or as a byword; but I will be sanctified (set apart as holy) among the Israelites. I am the LORD, who sanctifies and declares you holy, 33 ^awho brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD.”

Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to be careful with the holy gifts of the sons of Israel, which they set apart to Me as holy, so as not to profane My holy name; I am Yahweh. 3 Say to them, ‘^aIf any man among all your seed throughout your generations comes near to the holy gifts which the sons of Israel set apart as holy to Yahweh, and he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from before Me; I am Yahweh. 4 ^aNo man of the seed of Aaron, who is a leper or who has a discharge, may eat of the holy gifts until he is clean. ^bAnd if one touches anything made unclean by a corpse, or if ^ca man has a seminal emission, 5 or ^aif a man touches any teeming things by which he is made unclean or any man by whom he is made unclean, whatever his uncleanness, 6 a ¹person who touches any such thing shall be unclean until evening and shall not eat of the holy gifts unless he has bathed his ²body in water. 7 But the sun will set, and he will be clean. And afterward he shall eat of the holy gifts, for ^ait is his ¹food. 8 He shall not eat ^aan animal which dies or is torn by beasts, becoming unclean by it; I am Yahweh. 9 They shall therefore keep ^aMy charge so that ^bthey will not bear sin because of it and die thereby because they profane it; I am Yahweh who makes them holy.

10 ‘^aNo ¹layman, however, is to eat the holy gift; a foreign resident with the priest or a hired man shall not eat of the holy gift. 11 ^aBut if a priest buys a person as his property with his money, ¹that one may eat of it, and those who are born in his house may eat of his ²food. 12 If a priest’s daughter is married to a ¹layman, she shall not eat of the ²contribution of the holy gifts. 13 But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or divorced, and has no seed, and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s ¹food; ^abut no ²layman shall eat of it. 14 ^aBut if a man eats a holy gift unintentionally, then he shall add to it a fifth of it and shall give the holy gift to the priest. 15 ^aThey shall not profane the holy gifts of the sons of Israel which they raise up to Yahweh, 16 and so cause them ^ato bear ¹punishment for guilt by eating their holy gifts; for I am Yahweh who makes them holy.’”

17 Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 18 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘^aAny man of the house of Israel or of the sojourners in Israel who brings near his offering, whether it is any of their ¹votive or any of their freewill offerings, which they bring near to Yahweh for a burnt offering— 19 ^afor you to be accepted—it must be a male without blemish from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats. 20 ^aWhatever has a defect, you shall not bring it near, for it will not be accepted for you. 21 And when a man brings a sacrifice of peace offerings near to Yahweh ^ato ¹fulfill a special vow or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it must be without blemish to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it. 22 Those that are blind or fractured or maimed or have a running sore or eczema or scabs, you shall not bring near to Yahweh nor make of them an offering by fire on the altar to Yahweh. 23 Now in respect to an ox or a lamb which has ¹an overgrown or stunted member, you may offer it for a freewill offering, but for a votive offering it will not be accepted. 24 Also ^aanything with its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut, you shall not bring near to Yahweh, and you shall not do thus in your land, 25 nor shall you bring near any such thing from the hand of a foreigner for offering ^aas the ¹food of your God; for their corruption is in them, they have a defect; they shall not be accepted for you.’”
