Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

2 “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘^aYou shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy. 3 Every one of you ^ashall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep ^bMy Sabbaths; ^cI am the LORD your God. 4 Do not turn to ^aidols or make for yourselves cast metal ^bgods; I am the LORD your God.

5 ‘Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted. 6 It shall be eaten on the same day you offer it, and on the next day; but what remains until the third day shall be burned with fire. 7 So if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is unclean; it will not be accepted. 8 And everyone who eats it will bear the consequences for his guilt, because he has profaned the holy thing of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from his people.

9 ‘^aNow when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 And you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God.

11 ‘^aYou shall not steal, nor deal falsely, ^bnor lie to one another. 12 And ^ayou shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to ^bprofane the name of your God; I am the LORD.

13 ‘^aYou shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. ^bThe wages of a hired worker are not to remain with you all night until morning. 14 You shall not curse a person who is deaf, nor ^aput a stumbling block before a person who is blind, but you shall revere your God; I am the LORD.

15 ‘^aYou shall not do injustice in judgment; you shall not show partiality to the poor nor give preference to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly. 16 You shall not go about as ^aa slanderer among your people; and you are not to ¹jeopardize the ^2blife of your neighbor. I am the LORD.

17 ‘You ^ashall not hate your fellow countryman in your heart; you ^bmay certainly rebuke your neighbor, but you are not to incur sin because of him. 18 ^aYou shall not take vengeance, ^bnor hold any grudge against the sons of your people, but ^cyou shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD.

19 ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not cross-breed two kinds of your cattle; ^ayou shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment of two kinds of material mixed together.

20 ‘^aNow if a man has sexual relations with a woman who is a slave acquired for another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death, because she was not free. 21 He shall bring his guilt offering to the LORD to the doorway of the tent of meeting, ^aa ram as a guilt offering. 22 The priest shall also make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the LORD for his sin which he has committed, and the sin which he has committed will be forgiven him.

23 ‘Now when you enter the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as ¹forbidden. For three years it shall be ²forbidden to you; it shall not be eaten. 24 And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the LORD. 25 But in the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, so that its yield may increase for you; I am the LORD your God.

26 ‘You shall not eat any meat ^awith the blood. You shall not practice ^bdivination nor soothsaying. 27 ^aYou shall not round off the ¹hairline of your heads, nor trim the edges of your beard. 28 You shall not make any cuts in your ¹body for the ²dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD.

29 ‘^aDo not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, so that the land does not fall into prostitution, and the land does not become full of outrageous sin. 30 You shall ^akeep My Sabbaths and ^brevere My sanctuary; I am the LORD.

31 ‘Do not turn to ^1amediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

32 ‘^aYou shall stand up in the presence of the grayheaded and honor ¹elders, and you shall ²fear your God; I am the LORD.

33 ‘^aWhen a stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not ¹do him wrong. 34 The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and ^ayou shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.

35 ‘^aYou shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or volume. 36 You shall have ^aaccurate balances, accurate weights, an accurate ¹ephah, and an accurate ²hin; I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt. 37 So you shall keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and do them; I am the LORD.’”

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

5 ‘Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted. 6 It shall be eaten the same day you offer it and on the day following; and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned in the fire. 7 But if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is repulsive; it will not be accepted by God as an offering. 8 Everyone who eats it will bear the responsibility for his wickedness, for he has profaned a holy thing of the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from his people excluding him from the atonement made for them.

9 ‘^aNow when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings (grain left after reaping) of your harvest. 10 And you shall not glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather its fallen grapes; you shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am the LORD your God.

11 ‘^aYou shall not steal, nor deal deceptively, nor ^blie to one another. Col 3:9, 10 12 ^aYou shall not swear an oath falsely by My name, so as to ^bprofane the name of your God; I am the LORD.

13 ‘^aYou shall not oppress or exploit your neighbor, nor rob him. ^bYou shall not withhold the wages of a hired man overnight until morning. 14 You shall not curse a deaf man nor ^aput a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God with profound reverence; I am the LORD.

15 ‘^aYou shall not do injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor show a preference for the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. 16 You shall not go around as ^aa gossip among your people, and you are not to act against the ^blife of your neighbor with slander or false testimony; I am the LORD.

17 ‘You ^ashall not hate your brother in your heart; you ^bmay most certainly rebuke your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him. Gal 6:1; 1+@John 2:9, 11; 3:15 18 ^aYou shall not take revenge nor ^bbear any grudge against the sons of your people, but ^cyou shall love your neighbor (acquaintance, associate, companion) as yourself; I am the LORD. 19 ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; ^ayou shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear clothing of two kinds of material mixed together.

20 ‘^aNow if a man has intimate relations with a woman who is a slave acquired for marriage to another man, but who has not been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment after an investigation; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free; 21 but he shall bring his guilt offering to the LORD to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting, ^aa ram as a guilt offering. 22 The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the LORD for his sin which he has committed; and he shall be forgiven for his sin.

23 ‘When you enter the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall consider their fruit ¹forbidden. For three years the fruit shall be forbidden to you; it shall not be eaten. 24 In the fourth year all the fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the LORD. 25 In the fifth year you may eat the fruit of the trees, this is so that their yield may increase for you; I am the LORD your God.

26 ‘You shall not eat anything ^awith the blood, nor practice ^bdivination using omens or witchcraft or soothsaying. 27 ^aYou shall not trim and round off the side-growth of the hair on your heads, nor mar the edges of your beard. 28 You shall not make any cuts on your body in mourning for the dead, nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves; I am the LORD.

29 ‘^aDo not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, so that the land will not fall to prostitution and become full of wickedness. 30 You shall ^akeep My Sabbaths and ^brevere My sanctuary. I am the LORD.

31 ‘Do not turn to ^amediums who pretend to consult the dead or to spiritists who have spirits of divination; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

32 ‘^aYou shall rise before the gray-headed and honor the aged, and you shall fear your God with profound reverence; I am the LORD.

33 ‘When ^aa stranger resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress or mistreat him. 34 But the stranger who resides with you shall be to you like someone native-born among you; and ^ayou shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.

35 ‘^aYou shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight or quantity. 36 You shall have ^ajust and accurate balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just ¹hin. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. 37 You shall observe and keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them. I am the LORD.’”

Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:

I am Yahweh your God.

11 ‘^aYou shall not steal, nor deal falsely, ^bnor lie to one another. 12 ^aAnd you shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to ^bprofane the name of your God; I am Yahweh.

13 ‘^aYou shall not oppress your neighbor nor rob him. ^bThe wages of a hired man shall not remain with you overnight until morning. 14 You shall not curse a deaf man nor ^aplace a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God; I am Yahweh.

15 ‘^aYou shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness. 16 You shall not go about as ^aa slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand against the ^1blife of your neighbor; I am Yahweh.

17 ‘You ^ashall not hate your brother in your heart; you ^bmay surely reprove your neighbor, and so not bear sin because of him. 18 ^aYou shall not take vengeance, ^band you shall not keep your anger against the sons of your people, but ^cyou shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.

19 ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; ^ayou shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.

20 ‘^aNow if a man lies sexually with a woman who is a slave assigned to another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death because she was not free. 21 And he shall bring his guilt offering to Yahweh to the doorway of the tent of meeting, ^aa ram for a guilt offering. 22 The priest shall also make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before Yahweh for his sin which he has committed, and the sin which he has committed will be forgiven him.

23 ‘When you enter the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall designate their fruit as ¹forbidden. Three years it shall be ²forbidden to you; it shall not be eaten. 24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to Yahweh. 25 Now in the fifth year you shall eat of its fruit, that its produce may increase for you; I am Yahweh your God.

26 ‘You shall not eat anything ^awith the blood nor interpret ^bomens or soothsaying. 27 ^aYou shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard. 28 And you shall not make any cuts in your ¹body for the ²dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am Yahweh.

29 ‘^aDo not ¹profane your daughter by making her a harlot, so that the land will not fall to harlotry and the land become full of lewdness. 30 You shall ^akeep My sabbaths and ^bfear My sanctuary; I am Yahweh.

31 ‘Do not turn to ^1amediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.

32 ‘^aYou shall rise up before the gray-haired and honor the ¹aged, and you shall fear your God; I am Yahweh.

33 ‘^aAnd when a sojourner sojourns with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. 34 The sojourner who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and ^ayou shall love him as yourself, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God.

35 ‘^aYou shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or in volume. 36 You shall have ^1ajust balances, ²just weights, a ³just ⁴ephah, and a ⁵just ⁶hin; I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt. 37 You shall thus keep all My statutes and all My judgments and do them; I am Yahweh.’”
