“And ^ayou, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, ‘This is what the Lord ¹GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around, lead you on a rope, take you up from the remotest parts of the north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will ^astrike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand. 4 You will ^afall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops, and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as ^bfood to every ¹kind of predatory bird and animal of the field. 5 You will fall on the ¹open field; for it is I who have spoken,” declares the Lord GOD. 6 “And I will send ^afire upon Magog and those who inhabit the ^bcoastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD.

7 “And I will make My ^aholy name known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not allow My holy name to be ^bprofaned anymore. But the ^cnations will know that I am the LORD, the ^dHoly One in Israel. 8 Behold, it is coming and it shall be done,” declares the Lord GOD. “That is the day of which I have spoken.

9 “Then those who inhabit the cities of Israel will ^ago out and make ^bfires with the weapons and burn them, both ¹bucklers and shields, bows and arrows, war clubs and spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them. 10 They will not take wood from the field or gather firewood from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will take the spoils of those who plundered them and seize the ^aplunder of those who plundered them,” declares the Lord GOD.

11 “On that day I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea, and it will block the way of those who would pass by. So they will bury Gog there with all his horde, and they will call it the Valley of ¹Hamon-gog. 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to ^acleanse the land. 13 And all the people of the land will bury them; and it will be ¹to their ^arenown on the day that I ^bappear in My glory,” declares the Lord GOD. 14 “They will also select men who will constantly pass through the land, ^aburying those who were passing through, those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will conduct a search. 15 As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a human bone, then he will ¹set up a marker by it until the burial detail has buried it in the Valley of ²Hamon-gog. 16 And even the name of the city will be Hamonah. So they will cleanse the land.”’

17 “Now as for you, son of man, this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Say to every ¹kind of ^abird and to every ^banimal of the field: “Assemble and come, gather from every direction to My sacrifice, which I am going to ^csacrifice for you as a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel; and you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will ^aeat the flesh of warriors and drink the blood of the leaders of the earth, as though they were ^brams, lambs, goats, and ^cbulls, all of them fattened livestock of ^dBashan. 19 So you will eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk, from My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 You will eat your fill at My table with ^ahorses and charioteers, with warriors and all the men of war,” declares the Lord GOD.

21 “And I will place My ^aglory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. 22 And the house of Israel will ^aknow that I am the LORD their God, from that day onward. 23 The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their ^awrongdoing, because they were disloyal to Me, and I ^bhid My face from them; so I handed them over to their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword. 24 ^aIn accordance with their uncleanness and their offenses I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.”’”

25 Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: “Now I will ^arestore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on all the ^bhouse of Israel; and I will be ^cjealous for My holy name. 26 They will ^1aforget their disgrace and all their ²treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they ^blive securely on their own land with ^cno one to make them afraid. 27 When I ^abring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall ^bshow Myself holy ¹through them in the sight of the many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then I gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer. 29 I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I will have ^apoured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares the Lord GOD.

“And ^ayou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince (ruler) of Meshech and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around and lead you along, and bring you up from the remotest parts of the north, and I will bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 I will ^astrike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows to fall out of your right hand. 4 You will ^afall dead on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the nations who are with you. I will give you to every kind of predatory bird and animal of the field as ^bfood. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken,” says the Lord GOD. 6 “I will also send ^afire on Magog and on those who live securely in the ^bcoastlands; and they will know without any doubt that I am the LORD.

7 “I will make My ^aholy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them ^bprofane My holy name anymore; and the ^cnations will know that I am the LORD, the ^dHoly One of Israel. 8 Behold, it is coming and it will be done,” says the Lord GOD. “That is the day of which I have spoken.

9 “And when you, Gog, no longer exist those who live in the cities of Israel will ^ago out and make ^bfires with the weapons and burn them, both the large shields and the ¹bucklers (small shields) , the bows and the arrows, the war clubs and the spears; and for seven years they will burn them. 10 They will not take any wood from the field or cut down and gather any firewood from the forests, because they will make their fires using the weapons. And they will take the spoil from those who despoiled them and seize the ^aplunder of those who plundered them,” says the Lord GOD.

11 “And on that day I will give Gog a place for burial there in Israel, the valley of those who pass through east of the sea, and it will block the way of those who would pass through. So they will ¹bury Gog there with all his hordes, and they will call it the Valley of Hamon-gog (the multitude of Gog) . 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to ^acleanse the land. 13 Yes, all the people of the land will bury them; and it will be ^ato their ^brenown on the day that I ^cappear in My glory and brilliance,” says the Lord GOD. 14 “They will elect men who will constantly go through the land, men commissioned to ^abury those who were passing through, those bodies that lie unburied on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will do a search. 15 As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it, until the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon-gog. 16 And even the name of the city will be Hamonah. In this manner they shall cleanse the land.”’

17 “As for you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Say to every kind of ^abird and to every ^banimal of the field, “Assemble and come, gather from every side to My sacrifice that I am ^cslaughtering for you, as a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will ^aeat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were ^brams, lambs, goats, and ^cbulls, all of them fatlings of ^dBashan east of the Jordan. 19 So you will eat fat until you are filled and drink blood till you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast which I have prepared for you. 20 You will eat your fill at My table with ^ahorses and riders, with mighty men, and with all the men of war,” says the Lord GOD.

21 “And I will bring and manifest My ^aglory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment and justice in the punishment which I have executed and My hand which I have laid on them. 22 So the house of Israel will ^aknow with absolute confidence that I am the LORD their God from that day forward. 23 And the nations will know without any doubt that the house of Israel went into exile for their ^agreat sin, because they acted treacherously against Me; and I ^bhid My face (favor, blessing) from them. So I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell into captivity or were killed by the power of the sword. Deut 31:17 24 I dealt with them ^ain accordance with their uncleanness and their transgressions, and I hid My face from them.”’”

25 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Now I will ^arestore the fortunes of Jacob (Israel) and have mercy on the whole ^bhouse of Israel; and I will be ^cjealous for My holy name demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine. 26 They will ^aforget their disgrace and all their treachery (unfaithfulness) which they perpetrated against Me, when they ^blive securely in their own land and there is ^cno one who makes them afraid. 27 When I ^abring them back from the nations and gather them out of their enemies’ lands, then I shall ^bshow Myself holy and My justice and holiness will be vindicated through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know without any doubt that I am the LORD their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them to their own land. I will leave none of them there among the nations any longer. 29 I will not hide My face from them any longer, because I will have ^apoured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” says the Lord GOD.

“Now as for ^ayou, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, ¹chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; 2 and I will turn you around, drive you on, take you up from the remotest parts of the north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. 3 And I will ^astrike your bow from your left hand and cause your arrows from your right hand to fall. 4 You will ^afall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; I will give you as ^bfood to every ¹kind of predatory bird and beast of the field. 5 You will fall on the ¹open field; for it is I who have spoken,” declares Lord Yahweh. 6 “And I will send ^afire upon Magog and those who inhabit the ^bcoastlands securely; and they will know that I am Yahweh.

7 “And My ^aholy name I will make known in the midst of My people Israel; and I will not let My holy name be ^bprofaned anymore. And the ^cnations will know that I am Yahweh, the ^dHoly One in Israel. 8 Behold, it is coming, and it shall be done,” declares Lord Yahweh. “That is the day of which I have spoken.

11 “And it will be in that day, that I will give Gog a burial ground there in Israel, the valley of those who pass by east of the sea, and it will block off those who would pass by. So they will bury Gog there with all his multitude, and they will call it the valley of ¹Hamon-gog. 12 And for seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to ^acleanse the land. 13 Even all the people of the land will bury them; and it will be ¹unto their ^aname on the day that I ^bglorify Myself,” declares Lord Yahweh. 14 “Now they will set apart men who will continually pass through the land, ^aburying those who were passing through, even those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search. 15 And those who pass through the land will pass through, and when anyone sees a man’s bone, he will ¹set up a marker by it until the buriers have buried it in the valley of ²Hamon-gog. 16 And even the name of the city will be Hamonah. So they will cleanse the land.”’

17 “Now as for you, son of man, thus says Lord Yahweh, ‘Say to every ¹kind of ^abird and to every ^bbeast of the field, “Gather and come, assemble from every side to My sacrifice which I am going to ^csacrifice for you, as a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will ^aeat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were ^brams, lambs, goats, and ^cbulls, all of them fatlings of ^dBashan. 19 So you will eat fat until you are satisfied and drink blood until you are drunk, from My sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 And you will be satisfied at My table with ^ahorses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,” declares Lord Yahweh.

21 “And I will put My ^aglory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment which I have executed and My hand which I have placed on them. 22 And the house of Israel will ^aknow that I am Yahweh their God from that day onward. 23 And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their ^ainiquity because they acted unfaithfully against Me, and I ^bhid My face from them; so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword. 24 ^aAccording to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.”’”

25 Therefore thus says Lord Yahweh, “Now I will return the ^1afortunes of Jacob and have compassion on the whole ^bhouse of Israel; and I will be ^cjealous for My holy name. 26 So they will ^1aforget their dishonor and all their unfaithfulness which they ²perpetrated against Me, when they ^blive securely on their own land with ^cno one to make them tremble. 27 When I ^areturn them from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall ^bprove Myself holy ¹through them in the sight of the many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am Yahweh their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then collected them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer. 29 And I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I will have ^apoured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares Lord Yahweh.
