There Is No One Who Does Good

The ¹wicked fool ^asays in his heart, “There is no God.”They act corruptly, they commit abominable ²deeds;There is ^bno one who does good.2 Yahweh ^alooks down from heaven upon the sons of menTo see if there is anyone who ¹^bhas insight,Anyone who ^cseeks after God.3 They have all ^aturned aside, altogether they have become ¹worthless;There is ^bno one who does good, not even one.

4 Do all the workers of iniquity ^anot know,Who ^beat up my people as they eat bread,And ^cdo not call upon Yahweh?5 There they are in great dread,For God is with the ^arighteous generation.6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted,But Yahweh is his ^arefuge.

7 Oh, that ^athe salvation of Israel ¹would come out of Zion!When Yahweh ²^brestores His captive people,May Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.

4 Do all the workers of injustice ^anot know,Who ^bdevour my people as they eat bread,And ^cdo not call upon the LORD?5 There they are in great dread,For God is with a ^arighteous generation.6 You would put to shame the plan of the poor,But the LORD is his ^arefuge.

7 Oh, that ^athe salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!When the LORD ^brestores the fortunes of His people,Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.
