Por tanto, habiendo sido justificados por la fe^a, tenemos¹ paz para con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo^b, 2 por medio de quien también hemos obtenido entrada^a por la fe a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes^b, y nos gloriamos¹ en la esperanza de la gloria de Dios. 3 Y nosolo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos^1a en las tribulaciones^b, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia^2c; 4 y la paciencia^1a, carácter probado^b; y el carácter probado, esperanza; 5 y la esperanza no desilusiona^a, porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por medio del Espíritu Santo que nos fue dado^b. 6 Porque mientras aún éramos débiles¹, a su tiempo^a Cristo murió por los impíos^b. 7 Porque a duras penas habrá alguien que muera por un justo, aunque tal vez alguno se atreva a morir por el bueno. 8 Pero Dios demuestra^a su amor para con nosotros^b, en que siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros^c. 9 Entonces mucho más, habiendo sido ahora justificados por¹ su sangre^a, seremos salvos de la ira de Dios por medio de Él^b. 10 Porque si cuando éramos enemigos fuimos reconciliados con Dios por la muerte de su Hijo^a, mucho más, habiendo sido reconciliados, seremos salvos por¹ su vida^b. 11 Y nosolo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos¹ en Dios^a por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien ahora hemos recibido la reconciliación^b.

12 Por tanto, tal como el pecado entró en el mundo por un hombre, y la muerte por el pecado^a, así también la muerte se extendió a todos los hombres, porque todos pecaron^b; 13 pues antes de la ley¹ había pecado en el mundo, pero el pecado no se imputa cuando no hay ley^a. 14 Sin embargo, la muerte reinó desde Adán hasta Moisés, aun sobre los que no habían pecado con una transgresión semejante a la de Adán^a, el cual es figura¹ del que había de venir^b. 15 Pero no sucede con la dádiva como con la transgresión¹. Porque si por la transgresión de uno² murieron los muchos^a, mucho más, la gracia de Dios y el don por la gracia de un hombre, Jesucristo^b, abundaron para los muchos. 16 Tampoco sucede con el don como con lo que vino por medio de aquel¹ que pecó; porque ciertamente el juicio surgió a causa de una transgresión, resultando en² condenación^a; pero la dádiva surgió a causa de muchas transgresiones resultando en³ justificación. 17 Porque si por la transgresión de uno, poreste¹ reinó la muerte^a, mucho más reinarán en vida por medio de uno, Jesucristo^b, los que reciben la abundancia de la gracia y del don de la justicia. 18 Así pues, tal como por una transgresión resultó¹ la condenación de todos los hombres, así también por un acto de justicia^a resultó² la justificación de vida para todos los hombres^b. 19 Porque así como por la desobediencia de un hombre los muchos fueron constituidos pecadores^a, así también por la obediencia de uno^b los muchos serán constituidos justos^c. 20 Y la ley se introdujo para que abundara la transgresión^a, pero donde el pecado abundó, sobreabundó la gracia^b, 21 para que así como el pecado reinó en la muerte^a, así también la gracia reine por medio de la justicia para vida eterna, mediante Jesucristo nuestro Señor^b.

^aTherefore, having been justified by faith, ^1bwe have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we also have ^aobtained our introduction by faith into this grace ^bin which we stand; and ¹we celebrate in hope of the glory of God. 3 ^aAnd not only this, but ¹we also ^bcelebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about ^cperseverance; 4 and ^aperseverance, ^bproven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope ^adoes not disappoint, because the love of God has been ^bpoured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

6 For while we were still ^ahelpless, ^bat the right time ^cChrist died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous person; ¹though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. 8 But God ^ademonstrates ^bHis own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, ^cChrist died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified ^1aby His blood, we shall be saved ^bfrom the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were ^aenemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved ^1bby His life. 11 ^aAnd not only this, but ¹we also celebrate in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received ^bthe reconciliation.

12 Therefore, just as through ^aone man sin entered into the world, and ^bdeath through sin, and ^cso death spread to all mankind, because all sinned— 13 for ¹until the Law sin was in the world, but ^asin is not ²counted against anyone when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned ^ain the likeness of the ¹violation committed by Adam, who is a ^2btype of Him who was to come.

15 But ¹the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of ^athe one ^bthe many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by ^cthe grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. 16 The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for on the one hand ^athe judgment arose from one offense, ¹resulting in condemnation, but on the other hand the gracious gift arose from many offenses, ²resulting in justification. 17 For if by the offense of the one, death reigned ^athrough the one, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness ^breign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

18 So then, as through ^aone offense ¹the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one ^bact of righteousness ²the result was ^cjustification of life to all mankind. 19 For as through the one man’s disobedience ^athe many ^bwere made sinners, so also through ^cthe obedience of the One ^dthe many will be made righteous. 20 ^1aThe Law came in so that the offense would increase; but where sin increased, ^bgrace abounded all the more, 21 so that, as ^asin reigned in death, so also ^bgrace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
