El impío huye sin que nadie lo persiga^a,mas los justos están confiados como un león.2 Por la transgresión de la tierra, muchos son sus príncipes^a;pero por el hombre entendido y de conocimiento permanece estable¹^b.3 El pobre que oprime a los humildes^aes como lluvia torrencial que no deja¹ pan.4 Los que abandonan la ley alaban a los impíos^a,pero los que guardan la ley luchan contra ellos^b.5 Los hombres malvados no entienden de justicia¹^a,mas los que buscan al SEÑOR lo entienden todo^b.6 Mejor es el pobre que anda en su integridad^a,que el que es torcido¹, aunque sea rico.7 Él que guarda la ley es hijo entendido,pero el que es compañero de glotones^a avergüenza a su padre.8 Él que aumenta su riqueza por interés y usura^a,la recoge para el que se apiada de los pobres^b.9 Al que aparta su oído para no oír la ley,su oración también es abominación^a.10 Él que extravía a los rectos por el mal camino,en su propia fosa caerá^a;pero los íntegros¹ heredarán el bien^b.11 El rico es sabio ante sus propios ojos^a,mas el pobre que es entendido, lo sondea¹.12 Cuando los justos triunfan, grande es la gloria^a,pero cuando los impíos se levantan, los hombres se esconden¹^b.13 Él que encubre sus pecados no prosperará^a,mas el que los confiesa y los abandona hallará misericordia^b.14 Cuán bienaventurado es el hombre que siempre teme^a,pero el que endurece su corazón caerá en el infortunio^b.15 Cual león rugiente^a y oso agresivoes el gobernante perverso sobre el pueblo pobre^b.16 Al príncipe que es gran opresor le falta entendimiento^a,pero el que odia las ganancias injustas prolongará sus días.17 El hombre cargado con culpa de sangre humana,fugitivo será hasta la muerte¹^a; que nadie lo apoye.18 Él que anda en integridad¹ será salvo,mas el que es de camino torcido² caerá de repente^a.19 Él que labra su tierra se saciará de pan^a,pero el que sigue propósitos vanos se llenará de pobreza.20 El hombre fiel abundará en bendiciones^a,pero el que se apresura a enriquecerse no quedará sin castigo^b.21 Hacer acepción de personas¹ no es bueno^a,pues por un bocado de pan el hombre pecará^b.22 El hombre avaro¹^a corre tras la riqueza^b,y no sabe que la miseria vendrá sobre él.23 Él que reprende al hombre^a hallará después más favorque el que lo lisonjea con la lengua^b.24 Él que roba a su padre o a su madre^ay dice: «No es transgresión»,es compañero del hombre destructor^b.25 El hombre arrogante¹ suscita rencillas^a,mas el que confía en el SEÑOR prosperará²^b.26 Él que confía en su propio corazón^a es un necio,pero el que anda con sabiduría será librado.27 Él que da al pobre no pasará necesidad^a,pero el que cierra¹ sus ojos tendrá muchas maldiciones.28 Cuando los impíos se levantan, los hombres se esconden;mas cuando perecen, los justos se multiplican.

Warnings and Instructions

The wicked ^aflee when no one is pursuing,But the righteous are ¹bold as a lion.2 Due to a ¹wrongdoing of ²a land its leaders are ^amany,But ^bby a person of understanding and knowledge, so it endures.3 A ^apoor man who oppresses the helplessIs like a driving rain ¹which leaves no food.4 Those who abandon the Law ^apraise the wicked,But those who keep the Law ^bstrive against them.5 Evil people ^ado not understand justice,But those who seek the LORD ^bunderstand everything.6 ^aBetter is a poor person who walks in his integrity,Than a person who is ¹crooked, though he is rich.7 He who keeps the Law is a discerning son,But he who is a companion of ^agluttons humiliates his father.8 One who increases his wealth by ¹^ainterest of any kind,Collects it ^bfor one who is gracious to the poor.9 One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law,Even his ^aprayer is an abomination.10 One who leads the upright astray in an evil wayWill ^ahimself fall into his own pit,But the ^bblameless will inherit good.11 The rich person is ^awise in his own eyes,But the poor who has understanding ¹sees through him.12 When the ^arighteous triumph, there is great glory,But ^bwhen the wicked rise, people ¹hide themselves.13 One who ^aconceals his wrongdoings will not prosper,But one who ^bconfesses and abandons them will find compassion.14 How blessed is the person who ^afears always,But one who ^bhardens his heart will fall into disaster.15 Like a ^aroaring lion and a rushing bearIs a ^bwicked ruler over a poor people.16 A ^aleader who is a great oppressor lacks understanding,But a person who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.17 A person who is ^aburdened with the guilt of human bloodWill ¹be a fugitive until death; no one is to support him!18 One who walks blamelessly will receive help,But one who is ¹^acrooked will fall all at once.19 ^aOne who works his land will ^bhave plenty of food,But one who follows empty pursuits will have plenty of poverty.20 A ^afaithful person will abound with blessings,But one who ^bhurries to be rich will not go unpunished.21 To ¹^ashow partiality is not good,^bBecause for a piece of bread a man will do wrong.22 A person with an ^aevil eye ^bhurries after wealthAnd does not know that poverty will come upon him.23 One who ^arebukes a person will afterward find more favorThan one who ^bflatters with the tongue.24 He who ^arobs his father or his motherAnd says, “There is no wrong done,”Is the ^bcompanion of a person who destroys.25 An ¹arrogant person ^astirs up strife,But one who ^btrusts in the LORD ^cwill ²prosper.26 One who ^atrusts in his own heart is a fool,But one who walks wisely will flee to safety.27 One who ^agives to the poor will never lack anything,But one who ¹shuts his eyes will have many curses.28 When the wicked rise, people hide themselves;But when they perish, the righteous increase.
