^1aY aconteció después de la plaga^b, ²que el SEÑOR habló a Moisés y a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo: 2 Levantad un censo¹ de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel de veinte años arriba por sus casas paternas, todo el que en Israel pueda salir a la guerra^a. 3 Entonces Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con ellos en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, diciendo^a: 4 Haced un censo del pueblo de veinte años arriba, como el SEÑOR ordenó a Moisés.

Y los hijos de Israel que salieron de la tierra de Egipto fueron: 5 Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Los hijos de Rubén: de Enoc, la familia de los enoquitas; de Falú, la familia de los faluitas; 6 de Hezrón, la familia de los hezronitas; de Carmi, la familia de los carmitas. 7 Estas son las familias de los rubenitas, y los que fueron contados¹ de ellas eran cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta^a. 8 El hijo de Falú: Eliab. 9 Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Estos son el Datán y el Abiram que fueron escogidos¹ por la congregación^a, y que contendieron contra Moisés y contra Aarón con el grupo de Coré, cuando contendieron contra el SEÑOR^b, 10 y la tierra abrió su boca y los tragó a ellos junto con Coré^a cuando aquel grupo murió, y cuando el fuego devoró a doscientos cincuenta hombres^b, y sirvieron de escarmiento¹. 11 Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron^a.

12 Los hijos de Simeón según sus familias: de Nemuel¹, la familia de los nemuelitas; de Jamín, la familia de los jaminitas; de Jaquín², la familia de los jaquinitas; 13 de Zera¹, la familia de los zeraítas; de Saúl, la familia de los saulitas. 14 Estas son las familias de los simeonitas: veintidós mil doscientos^a.

15 Los hijos de Gad según sus familias: de Zefón¹, la familia de los zefonitas; de Hagui, la familia de los haguitas; de Suni, la familia de los sunitas; 16 de Ozni¹, la familia de los oznitas; de Eri, la familia de los eritas; 17 de Arod¹, la familia de los aroditas; de Areli, la familia de los arelitas. 18 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Gad según los que fueron contados en ellas: cuarenta mil quinientos^a.

19 Los hijos de Judá: Er y Onán; pero Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán^a. 20 Y los hijos de Judá^a según sus familias fueron: de Sela, la familia de los selaítas; de Fares, la familia de los faresitas; de Zera, la familia de los zeraítas. 21 Y los hijos de Fares fueron: de Hezrón, la familia de los hezronitas; de Hamul, la familia de los hamulitas. 22 Estas son las familias de Judá según los que fueron contados en ellas: setenta y seis mil quinientos^a.

23 Los hijos de Isacar según sus familias: de Tola, la familia de los tolaítas; de Fúa, la familia de los funitas^a; 24 de Jasub¹, la familia de los jasubitas; de Simrón, la familia de los simronitas. 25 Estas son las familias de Isacar según los que fueron contados en ellas: sesenta y cuatro mil trescientos^a.

26 Los hijos de Zabulón según sus familias: de Sered, la familia de los sereditas; de Elón, la familia de los elonitas; de Jahleel, la familia de los jahleelitas^a. 27 Estas son las familias de los zabulonitas según los que fueron contados en ellas: sesenta mil quinientos^a.

28 Los hijos de José según sus familias: Manasés y Efraín^a. 29 Los hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los maquiritas; y Maquir engendró a Galaad; de Galaad, la familia de los galaaditas^a. 30 Estos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer¹, la familia de los jezeritas; de Helec, la familia de los helequitas; 31 y de Asriel, la familia de los asrielitas; de Siquem, la familia de los siquemitas; 32 y de Semida, la familia de los semidaítas; de Hefer, la familia de los heferitas. 33 Pero Zelofehad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos, sinosolo hijas; y los nombres de las hijas de Zelofehad fueron Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca y Tirsa^a. 34 Estas son las familias de Manasés, y los que fueron contados de ellas: cincuenta y dos mil setecientos^a.

35 Estos son los hijos de Efraín según sus familias: de Sutela, la familia de los sutelaítas; de Bequer¹, la familia de los bequeritas; de Tahán, la familia de los tahanitas. 36 Y estos son los hijos de Sutela: de Erán, la familia de los eranitas. 37 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Efraín según los que fueron contados de ellas: treinta y dos mil quinientos^a. Estos son los hijos de José según sus familias.

38 Los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los belaítas; de Asbel, la familia de los asbelitas; de Ahiram¹, la familia de los ahiramitas; 39 de Sufam¹, la familia de los sufamitas; de Hufam², la familia de los hufamitas. 40 Y los hijos de Bela fueron Ard¹ y Naamán: de Ard, la familia de los arditas; de Naamán, la familia de los naamitas. 41 Estos son los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias, y de ellos los que fueron contados: cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos^a.

42 Estos son los hijos de Dan según sus familias: de Súham¹, la familia de los suhamitas. Estas son las familias de Dan según sus familias. 43 Todas las familias de los suhamitas, según los que fueron contados en ellas: sesenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos^a.

44 Los hijos de Aser según sus familias: de Imna, la familia de los imnitas; de Isúi, la familia de los isuitas; de Bería, la familia de los beriaítas^a. 45 De los hijos de Bería: de Heber, la familia de los heberitas; de Malquiel, la familia de los malquielitas. 46 Y el nombre de la hija de Aser era Sera. 47 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Aser según los que fueron contados en ellas: cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos^a.

48 Los hijos de Neftalí según sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia de los jahzeelitas; de Guni, la familia de los gunitas^a; 49 de Jezer, la familia de los jezeritas; de Silem, la familia de los silemitas^a. 50 Estas son las familias de Neftalí según sus familias, y los que fueron contados en ellas: cuarenta y cinco mil cuatrocientos^a.

51 Estos son los que fueron contados de los hijos de Israel: seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta^a.

52 Entonces habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo: 53 La tierra se dividirá entre¹estos por heredad según el número de nombres. 54 Al grupo más grande aumentarás su heredad, y al grupo más pequeño disminuirás su heredad; a cada uno se le dará su heredad según los que fueron contados de ellos^a. 55 Pero la tierra se dividirá por suerte^a. Recibirán su heredad¹ según los nombres de las tribus de sus padres. 56 Según la selección por suerte se dividirá la heredad entre el grupo más grande y el más pequeño.

57 Y estos son los que fueron contados de los levitas según sus familias: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; de Merari, la familia de los meraritas^a. 58 Estas son las familias de Leví: la familia de los libnitas, la familia de los hebronitas, la familia de los mahlitas, la familia de los musitas, la familia de los coreítas. Y Coat engendró a Amram^a. 59 Y el nombre de la mujer de Amram era Jocabed^a, hija de Leví, que le nació a Leví en Egipto; y ella dio a luz de Amram, a Aarón, a Moisés y a su hermana Miriam. 60 Y a Aarón le nacieron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar^a. 61 Pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante del SEÑOR^a. 62 Y los contados de los levitas¹ fueron veintitrés mil^a, todo varón de un mes en adelante. Pues no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel^b, ya que ninguna heredad les fue dada entre los hijos de Israel^c.

63 Estos son los que fueron contados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, los cuales contaron a los hijos de Israel en los llanos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó. 64 Pero entreestos no había ninguno de los que fueron contados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón, cuando contaron a los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí^a. 65 Porque el SEÑOR había dicho de¹ ellos: Ciertamente morirán en el desierto^a. Y no quedó ninguno de ellos, sino Caleb, hijo de Jefone^b, y Josué, hijo de Nun.

¹Then it came about after the ^aplague, ²that the LORD spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying, 2 “^aTake a ¹census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers’ households, whoever is able to go to war in Israel.” 3 So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them ^ain the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, 4 “Take a census of the people from twenty years old and upward, as the LORD has commanded Moses.”

Now the sons of Israel who came out of the land of Egypt were as follows:

5 Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites; 6 of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites. 7 These are the families of the Reubenites, and those who were counted of them were ^a43,730. 8 The son of Pallu: Eliab. 9 The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the Dathan and Abiram who were ^acalled by the congregation, who fought against Moses and against Aaron in the group of Korah, when they fought against the LORD, 10 and ^athe earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up along with Korah, when that group died, ^bwhen the fire devoured 250 men, so that they became a warning sign. 11 ^aThe sons of Korah, however, did not die.

12 The sons of Simeon by their families: of ¹Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of ²Jachin, the family of the Jachinites; 13 of ¹Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites. 14 These are the families of the Simeonites, ^a22,200 in number.

15 The sons of Gad by their families: of ¹Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites; 16 of ¹Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites; 17 of ¹Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites. 18 These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those who were numbered of them, ^a40,500.

19 The ^asons of Judah were Er and Onan, but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. 20 The ^asons of Judah by their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Perezites; of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites. 21 The sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites. 22 These are the families of Judah by those who were numbered of them, ^a76,500.

23 The ^asons of Issachar by their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of ¹Puvah, the family of the Punites; 24 of ¹Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites. 25 These are the families of Issachar by those who were numbered of them, ^a64,300.

26 The ^asons of Zebulun by their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites. 27 These are the families of the Zebulunites by those who were numbered of them, ^a60,500.

28 The ^asons of Joseph by their families: Manasseh and Ephraim. 29 The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and ^aMachir fathered Gilead: of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites. 30 These are the sons of Gilead: of ¹Iezer, the family of the ^aIezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites; 31 and of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites; 32 and of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites. 33 Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, only daughters; and ^athe names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 34 These are the families of Manasseh; and those who were numbered of them were ^a52,700.

35 These are the sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of ¹Becher, the family of the Becherites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites. 36 These are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites. 37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim by those who were numbered of them, ^a32,500. These are the sons of Joseph by their families.

38 The sons of Benjamin by their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of ¹Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites; 39 of ¹Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of ²Hupham, the family of the Huphamites. 40 The sons of Bela were ¹Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamites. 41 These are the sons of Benjamin by their families; and those who were numbered of them were ^a45,600.

42 These are the sons of Dan by their families: of ¹Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan by their families. 43 All the families of the Shuhamites, by those who were numbered of them, were ^a64,400.

44 The ^asons of Asher by their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites. 45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites. 46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah. 47 These are the families of the sons of Asher by those who were numbered of them, ^a53,400.

48 The ^asons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites; 49 of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of ^aShillem, the family of the Shillemites. 50 These are the families of Naphtali by their families; and those who were numbered of them were ^a45,400.

51 These are the ones who were numbered of the sons of Israel, ^a601,730.

52 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 53 “¹Among these the land shall be divided as an inheritance according to the number of names. 54 ^aTo a larger group you shall increase their inheritance, and to a smaller group you shall decrease their inheritance; each shall be given their inheritance corresponding to the total of those who were numbered of them. 55 But the land shall be ^adivided by lot. They shall receive their inheritance according to the names of the tribes of their fathers. 56 Corresponding to the selection by lot, their inheritance shall be divided between the larger and the smaller groups.”

57 ^aThese are those who were numbered of the Levites according to their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites. 58 These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, and the family of the Korahites. ^aKohath fathered Amram. 59 And the name of Amram’s wife ^awas Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt; and she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses, and their sister Miriam. 60 ^aAnd to Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 61 ^aBut Nadab and Abihu died when they offered ¹strange fire before the LORD. 62 Those who were numbered of them were ^atwenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward, for ^bthey were not numbered among the sons of Israel ^csince no inheritance was given to them among the sons of Israel.

63 These are the ones who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. 64 ^aBut among these there was not a man of those who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. 65 For the LORD had said ¹of them, “^aThey shall certainly die in the wilderness.” And not a man was left of them, ^bexcept Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
