La parte que tocó en suerte a la tribu de los hijos de Judá conforme a sus familias, llegaba¹ hasta la frontera de Edom^a, hacia el sur, hasta el desierto de Zin^b al extremo sur. 2 Y su límite al sur se extendía desde el extremo del mar Salado, desde la bahía que da hacia el sur, 3 y seguía por el sur hacia la subida de Acrabim y continuaba hasta Zin; entonces subía por el lado sur de Cades-barnea hasta Hezrón, y subía hasta Adar y volvía a Carca. 4 Y pasaba por Asmón y seguía hasta el torrente de Egipto; y el límite terminaba¹ en el mar^a. Este será vuestro límite meridional. 5 El límite oriental era el mar Salado^a hasta la desembocadura¹ del Jordán. El límite por el lado norte era desde la bahía del mar en la desembocadura² del Jordán^b. 6 Entonces el límite subía hasta Bet-hogla y seguía al norte de Bet-arabá y¹ subía hasta la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén. 7 Y el límite subía hasta Debir desde el valle de Acor^a, y volvía hacia el norte, hacia Gilgal que está frente a la subida de Adumín, al sur del valle, y seguía hasta las aguas de En-semes¹ y terminaba² en En-rogel³. 8 Después el límite subía por el valle de Ben-hinom¹ hasta la ladera del jebuseo al sur, es decir, Jerusalén^a, y subía hasta la cumbre del monte que está frente al valle de Hinom hacia el occidente, que está al extremo del valle de Refaim hacia el norte. 9 Y desde la cumbre del monte el límite doblaba hacia la fuente de las aguas de Neftoa, y seguía hasta las ciudades del monte Efrón, girando hacia Baala, es decir, Quiriat-jearim^a. 10 De Baala el límite giraba hacia el occidente, hasta el monte Seir, y continuaba hasta la ladera del monte Jearim al norte, es decir, Quesalón, y bajaba a Bet-semes, y continuaba por Timna^a. 11 Y hacia el norte el límite seguía por el lado de Ecrón, girando hacia Sicrón, y continuaba hasta el monte Baala, seguía hasta Jabneel y terminaba¹ en el mar. 12 El límite occidental era el mar Grande¹, es decir, su costa^2a. Este es el límite alrededor de los hijos de Judá conforme a sus familias.

13 Y dio a Caleb, hijo de Jefone^a, una porción entre los hijos de Judá, según el mandato¹ del SEÑOR a Josué, es decir, Quiriat-arba², siendo Arba el padre de Anac, es decir, Hebrón^b. 14 Y Caleb expulsó¹ de allí a los tres hijos de Anac: Sesai, Ahimán y Talmai, hijos de Anac^a. 15 ^aDe allí subió contra los habitantes de Debir^b (el nombre de Debir antes era Quiriat-séfer). 16 Y Caleb dijo: Al que ataque¹ a Quiriat-séfer y la tome, yo le daré a mi hija Acsa por mujer. 17 Y Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz, hermano de Caleb, la tomó^a, y él le dio a su hija Acsa por mujer^b. 18 Y sucedió que cuando ella vino a él,este la¹ persuadió a que pidiera un campo a su padre. Ella entonces se bajó del asno, y Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué quieres?^2a 19 Y ella dijo: Dame una bendición¹; ya que me has dado la tierra del Neguev², dame también fuentes de agua. 21 Y las ciudades al extremo de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, hacia la frontera de Edom en el sur, fueron: Cabseel, Edar^a, Jagur, 22 Cina, Dimona, Adada, 23 Cedes, Hazor, Itnán, 24 Zif, Telem, Bealot, 25 Hazor-hadata, Queriot-hezrón¹, es decir, Hazor, 26 Amam, Sema¹, Molada, 27 Hazar-gada, Hesmón, Bet-pelet, 28 Hazar-sual, Beerseba^a, Bizotia, 29 Baala, Iim, Esem, 30 Eltolad, Quesil, Horma, 31 Siclag^a, Madmana, Sansana, 32 Lebaot, Silhim, Aín y Rimón; en total veintinueve ciudades con sus aldeas.

33 En las tierras bajas: Estaol, Zora^a, Asena, 34 Zanoa, En-ganim, Tapúa, Enam, 35 Jarmut, Adulam^a, Soco, Azeca, 36 Saaraim, Aditaim, Gedera y Gederotaim; catorce ciudades con sus aldeas.

37 Zenán, Hadasa, Migdal-gad, 38 Dileán, Mizpa, Jocteel, 39 Laquis^a, Boscat, Eglón^b, 40 Cabón, Lahmam, Quitlis, 41 Gederot, Bet-dagón, Naama y Maceda; dieciséis ciudades con sus aldeas.

42 Libna, Eter, Asán, 43 Jifta, Asena, Nezib, 44 Keila, Aczib y Maresa; nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.

45 Ecrón con sus pueblos y sus aldeas; 46 desde Ecrón hasta el mar, todas las que estaban cerca¹ de Asdod, con sus aldeas.

47 Asdod, sus pueblos y sus aldeas; Gaza, sus pueblos y sus aldeas; hasta el torrente de Egipto^a y el mar Grande y sus costas¹.

48 Y en la región montañosa: Samir, Jatir, Soco, 49 Dana, Quiriat-sana, es decir, Debir, 50 Anab, Estemoa, Anim, 51 Gosén, Holón y Gilo; once ciudades con sus aldeas.

52 Arab, Duma, Esán, 53 Janum, Bet-tapúa, Afeca, 54 Humta, Quiriat-arba, es decir, Hebrón, y Sior; nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.

55 Maón, Carmel, Zif, Juta, 56 Jezreel, Jocdeam, Zanoa, 57 Caín, Guibeá y Timna; diez ciudades con sus aldeas.

58 Halhul, Bet-sur, Gedor, 59 Maarat, Bet-anot y Eltecón; seis ciudades con sus aldeas.

63 Mas a los jebuseos, habitantes de Jerusalén, los hijos de Judá no pudieron expulsarlos¹; por tanto, los jebuseos habitan hasta hoy en Jerusalén con los hijos de Judá^a.

Now ^athe lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families ¹reached the ^bborder of Edom, southward to the ^cwilderness of Zin at the extreme south. 2 Their southern border was from the lower end of the Salt Sea, from the bay that turns to the south. 3 Then it proceeded southward to the ascent of Akrabbim and continued to Zin, then went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea and continued to Hezron, and went up to Addar and turned to Karka. 4 It ^acontinued to Azmon and proceeded to the ^1bbrook of Egypt, and the ²border ended at the sea. This shall be your southern border. 5 The ^aeastern border was the Salt Sea, as far as the ¹mouth of the Jordan. And the ^bborder of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the ²mouth of the Jordan. 6 Then the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and continued on the north of Beth-arabah, and the border went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben. 7 And the border went up to Debir from ^athe Valley of Achor, and turned northward toward Gilgal which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south of the valley; and the border continued to the waters of En-shemesh and ¹it ended at En-rogel. 8 Then the border went up the Valley of Ben-hinnom to the slope of the ^aJebusite on the south (that is, Jerusalem); and the border went up to the top of the mountain which is opposite the Valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the end of the Valley of Rephaim toward the north. 9 And from the top of the mountain the border turned to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah and proceeded to the cities of Mount Ephron, then the border turned to ^aBaalah (that is, ^bKiriath-jearim). 10 The border turned from Baalah westward to Mount Seir, and continued to the slope of Mount Jearim on the north (that is, Chesalon), and went down to Beth-shemesh and continued through ^aTimnah. 11 Then the border proceeded to the side of Ekron northward. And the border turned to Shikkeron and continued to Mount Baalah and proceeded to Jabneel, and the ¹border ended at the sea. 12 The western border was ^aat the Great Sea, even its ¹coastline. This is the border around the sons of Judah according to their families.

13 Now ^ahe gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion ^bamong the sons of Judah, in accordance with the ¹command of the LORD to Joshua, namely, ²Kiriath-arba, Arba being the father of Anak (that is, Hebron). 14 And ^aCaleb ¹drove out from there the three ^bsons of Anak: Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak. 15 Then ^ahe went up from there against the inhabitants of Debir; now the name of Debir previously was Kiriath-sepher. 16 And Caleb said, “The one who ¹attacks Kiriath-sepher and captures it, ²I will give him Achsah my daughter as a wife.” 17 ^aOthniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, captured it; so he gave him Achsah his daughter as a wife. 18 ^aAnd it happened that when she came to him, she incited him to ask her father for a field. So she dismounted from the donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?” 19 Then she said, “Give me a blessing; since you have given me the land of the ¹Negev, give me springs of water also.” So he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families.

21 Now the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah toward the border of Edom in the south were Kabzeel, ^aEder, and Jagur, 22 Kinah, Dimonah, and Adadah, 23 Kedesh, Hazor, and Ithnan, 24 Ziph, Telem, and Bealoth, 25 Hazor-hadattah, Kerioth-hezron (that is, Hazor), 26 Amam, Shema, and Moladah, 27 Hazar-gaddah, Heshmon, and Beth-pelet, 28 Hazar-shual, ^aBeersheba, and Biziothiah, 29 Baalah, Iim, and Ezem, 30 Eltolad, Chesil, and Hormah, 31 ^aZiklag, Madmannah, and Sansannah, 32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain, and Rimmon; in all, twenty-nine cities with their villages.

33 In the lowland: ^aEshtaol, Zorah, and Ashnah, 34 Zanoah, En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam, 35 Jarmuth, ^aAdullam, Socoh, and Azekah, 36 Shaaraim, Adithaim, Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.

37 Zenan, Hadashah, and Migdal-gad, 38 Dilean, Mizpeh, and Joktheel, 39 ^aLachish, Bozkath, and Eglon, 40 Cabbon, Lahmas, and Chitlish, 41 Gederoth, Beth-dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.

42 Libnah, Ether, and Ashan, 43 Iphtah, Ashnah, and Nezib, 44 Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.

45 Ekron, with its towns and its villages; 46 from Ekron even to the sea, all that were by the ¹side of Ashdod, with their villages.

47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages, as far as ^athe ¹brook of Egypt and the Great Sea, even its ²coastline.

48 In the hill country: Shamir, Jattir, and Socoh, 49 Dannah, Kiriath-sannah (that is, Debir), 50 Anab, Eshtemoh, Anim, 51 Goshen, Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.

52 Arab, Dumah, and Eshan, 53 Janum, Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah, 54 Humtah, Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), and Zior; nine cities with their villages.

55 Maon, Carmel, Ziph, and Juttah, 56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, and Zanoah, 57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.

58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor, 59 Maarath, Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.

60 Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.

61 In the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah, 62 Nibshan, the City of Salt, and Engedi; six cities with their villages.

63 Now as for the ^aJebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not ¹drive them out; so the Jebusites live with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem to this day.
