Era Josué ya viejo y entrado en años^a cuando el SEÑOR le dijo: Tú eres viejo y entrado en años, y todavía queda mucha tierra por conquistar. 2 Esta es la tierra que queda: todos los distritos de los filisteos y todos los de los gesureos^a; 3 desde el Sihor, que está al oriente de¹ Egipto, hasta la frontera de Ecrón al norte (que se considera de los cananeos); los cinco príncipes de los filisteos^a: el gazeo, el asdodeo, el ascaloneo, el geteo, y el ecroneo; también los aveos, 4 hacia el sur¹, toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Mehara que pertenece a los sidonios, hasta Afec^a, hasta la frontera de los amorreos^b; 5 y la tierra de los giblitas^a, y todo el Líbano hacia el oriente¹, desde Baal-gad^b al pie del monte Hermón, hasta Lebo-hamat². 6 A todos los habitantes de la región montañosa desde el Líbano hasta Misrefot-maim^a, a todos los sidonios, los expulsaré¹ de delante de los hijos de Israel; solamente reparte la tierra² por suerte a Israel como heredad tal como te he mandado^b. 7 Ahora pues, reparte esta tierra como heredad a las nueve tribus, y a la media tribu de Manasés.

8 Los rubenitas y los gaditas con la otra media tribu¹ habían recibido ya su heredad, la cual Moisés les había dado al otro lado del Jordán, hacia el oriente, tal como se la había dado Moisés, siervo del SEÑOR^a: 9 desde Aroer, que está a la orilla del valle¹ del Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle², y toda la llanura de Medeba, hasta Dibón; 10 todas las ciudades de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinaba en Hesbón, hasta la frontera de los hijos de Amón; 11 también Galaad^a y el territorio¹ de los gesureos y los maacateos, y todo el monte Hermón, y todo Basán hasta Salca; 12 todo el reino de Og en Basán, el cual reinaba en Astarot y en Edrei (solo él quedaba del remanente de los refaítas^a); porque Moisés los hirió y los desposeyó^b. 13 Pero los hijos de Israel no desposeyeron a los gesureos ni a los maacateos; pues Gesur y Maaca habitan en medio de Israel hasta hoy. 14 Solo a la tribu de Leví no dio heredad; las ofrendas encendidas al SEÑOR, Dios de Israel, son su heredad, como Él le había dicho^a.

15 Dio, pues, Moisés una heredad a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén conforme a sus familias. 16 Y el territorio¹ de ellos fue desde Aroer^a, que está a la orilla del valle² del Arnón, con la ciudad que está en medio del valle³, y toda la llanura hasta Medeba; 17 Hesbón y todas sus ciudades que están en la llanura: Dibón, Bamot-baal, Bet-baal-meón, 18 Jahaza^a, Cademot, Mefaat, 19 Quiriataim^a, Sibma, Zaret-sahar en el monte del valle, 20 Bet-peor, las laderas de Pisga, Bet-jesimot, 21 todas las ciudades de la llanura, y todo el reino de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, que reinaba en Hesbón, al cual Moisés hirió con los jefes de Madián, Evi, Requem, Zur, Hur y Reba^a, príncipes de Sehón que habitaban en aquella tierra. 22 Entre los que mataron¹ los hijos de Israel, también dieron muerte a espada al adivino Balaam, hijo de Beor^a. 23 Y el límite de los hijos de Rubén fue el Jordán¹. Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de Rubén según sus familias: las ciudades y sus aldeas.

24 Moisés dio también una heredad a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad, conforme a sus familias. 25 Y su territorio fue Jazer^a, todas las ciudades de Galaad y la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón hasta Aroer, que está frente a Rabá; 26 desde Hesbón hasta Ramat-mizpa y Betonim, y desde Mahanaim hasta la frontera de Debir¹; 27 y en el valle, Bet-aram, Bet-nimra, Sucot y Zafón, el resto del reino de Sehón, rey de Hesbón, con el Jordán como¹ límite, hasta el extremo del mar de Cineret^2a al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente. 28 Esta es la heredad de los hijos de Gad según sus familias, las ciudades y sus aldeas.

29 Moisés dio también una heredad a la media tribu de Manasés; y fue para la media tribu de los hijos de Manasés, conforme a sus familias. 30 Y su territorio fue desde Mahanaim, todo Basán, todo el reino de Og, rey de Basán, y todos los pueblos¹ de Jair^a que están en Basán, sesenta ciudades; 31 también la mitad de Galaad con Astarot^a y Edrei, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán^b, fueron para los hijos de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, para la mitad de los hijos de Maquir conforme a sus familias.

32 Estos son los territorios que Moisés repartió por heredad en las llanuras de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente de Jericó. 33 Pero a la tribu de Leví, Moisés no le dio heredad; el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel, es su heredad, como Él les había prometido^1a.

Now ^aJoshua was old and advanced in years when the LORD said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and a very large amount of the land remains to be possessed. 2 This is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and all those of the ^aGeshurites; 3 from the Shihor which is ¹east of Egypt, even as far as the border of Ekron to the north (it is counted as Canaanite); the ^afive governors of the Philistines: the Gazite, the Ashdodite, the Ashkelonite, the Gittite, the Ekronite; and the Avvite 4 ¹to the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, as far as ^aAphek, to the border of the ^bAmorite; 5 and the land of the ^aGebalite, and all of Lebanon, toward the ¹east, ^bfrom Baal-gad below Mount Hermon as far as ²Lebo-hamath. 6 All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon as far as ^aMisrephoth-maim, all the Sidonians, I will ¹drive out from the sons of Israel; ^bonly allot it to Israel as an inheritance as I have commanded you. 7 Now therefore, apportion this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”

8 With ¹the other half-tribe, the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance which Moses gave them ^abeyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD gave to them; 9 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, with the city which is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba, as far as Dibon; 10 and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the sons of Ammon; 11 and ^aGilead, and the ¹territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salecah; 12 all the kingdom of ^aOg in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (he alone was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses ^bstruck them and ¹drove them out. 13 But the sons of Israel did not ¹drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites; instead, Geshur and Maacath live among Israel to this day. 14 ^aOnly to the tribe of Levi he did not give an inheritance; the offerings by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are ¹their inheritance, as He spoke to him.

15 So Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of the sons of Reuben according to their families. 16 Their ¹territory was ^afrom Aroer, which is on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, with the city which is in the middle of the valley and all the plain by Medeba; 17 Heshbon and all its cities which are on the plain: Dibon, Bamoth-baal, Beth-baal-meon, 18 ^aJahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath, 19 ^aKiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on the hill of the valley, 20 Beth-peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth-jeshimoth, 21 even all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the leaders of Midian, ^aEvi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the leaders of Sihon, who lived in the land. 22 The sons of Israel also killed ^aBalaam the son of Beor, the diviner, with the sword among the rest of their dead. 23 The border of the sons of Reuben was the ¹Jordan. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their villages.

24 Moses also gave an inheritance to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad according to their families. 25 Their territory was ^aJazer and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, as far as Aroer which is opposite Rabbah; 26 and from Heshbon as far as Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim as far as the border of ¹Debir; 27 and in the valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan ¹as a border, as far as the lower end of the Sea of ^2aChinnereth beyond the Jordan to the east. 28 This is the inheritance of the sons of Gad according to their families, the cities and their villages.

29 Moses also gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh; and it was for the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh according to their families. 30 Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all ^athe ¹towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities; 31 also half of Gilead, with ^aAshtaroth and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh, for half of the sons of Machir according to their families.

32 These are the territories which Moses apportioned as an inheritance in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho to the east. 33 But ^ato the tribe of Levi, Moses did not give an inheritance; the LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as He had ¹promised to them.
