Y aconteció en los días de Amrafel, rey de Sinar^a, Arioc, rey de Elasar, Quedorlaomer, rey de Elam^b, y Tidal, rey de Goyim¹, 2 queestos hicieron guerra a Bera, rey de Sodoma, y a Birsa, rey de Gomorra, a Sinab, rey de Adma^a, a Semeber, rey de Zeboim^b, y al rey de Bela, es decir, Zoar^c. 3 Todosestos se reunieron como aliados¹ en el valle de Sidim^a, es decir, el mar Salado^b. 4 Doce años habían servido a Quedorlaomer, pero en el año trece se rebelaron. 5 Y en el año catorce, Quedorlaomer y los reyes que estaban con él, vinieron y derrotaron¹ a los refaítas^a en Astarot Karnaim^b, a los zuzitas en Ham, a los emitas en Save-quiriataim^2c, 6 y a los horeos en el monte de Seir^a hasta El-parán^b, que está junto al desierto. 7 Entonces volvieron a En-mispat, es decir, Cades^a, y conquistaron¹ todo el territorio de los amalecitas, y también a los amorreos que habitaban en Hazezon-tamar^b. 8 Y salió el rey de Sodoma, con el rey de Gomorra, el rey de Adma, el rey de Zeboim y el rey de Bela, es decir, Zoar, y presentaron batalla contra ellos en el valle de Sidim^a: 9 esto es, contra Quedorlaomer, rey de Elam, Tidal, rey de Goyim¹, Amrafel, rey de Sinar, y Arioc, rey de Elasar; cuatro reyes contra cinco. 10 Y el valle de Sidim estaba lleno de pozos de asfalto; y el rey de Sodoma^a y el de Gomorra huyeron y cayeron allí. Y los demás huyeron a los montes^b. 11 Entonces tomaron todos los bienes de Sodoma y Gomorra y todas sus provisiones, y se fueron. 12 Y tomaron también a Lot, sobrino de Abram^a, con todas sus posesiones, pues él habitaba en Sodoma^b, y partieron.

13 Y uno de los que escaparon¹ vino y se lo hizo saber a Abram el hebreo^a, que habitaba en el encinar² de Mamre^b el amorreo, hermano de Escol y hermano de Aner, yestos eran aliados^c de³ Abram. 14 Al oír Abram que su pariente^1a había sido llevado cautivo, movilizó a sus hombres adiestrados nacidos en su casa^b, trescientos dieciocho, y salió en su persecución hasta Dan^c. 15 Y por la noche, él, con sus siervos, organizó sus fuerzas^1a contra ellos, y los derrotó² y los persiguió hasta Hoba, que está al norte³ de Damasco^b. 16 Y recobró todos sus bienes^a, también a su pariente¹ Lot^b con sus posesiones, y también a las mujeres y a la gente.

17 A su regreso después de derrotar¹ a Quedorlaomer y a los reyes que estaban con él, salió a su encuentro el rey de Sodoma^a en el valle de Save, es decir, el valle del Rey^b. 18 Entonces Melquisedec, rey de Salem^a, sacó pan y vino^b; él era sacerdote^c del Dios Altísimo¹. 19 Y lo bendijo, diciendo¹:Bendito sea Abram del Dios Altísimo,creador² del cielo y de la tierra^a;

21 Y el rey de Sodoma dijo a Abram: Dame las personas¹ y toma para ti los bienes. 22 Y Abram dijo al rey de Sodoma: He jurado¹ al SEÑOR, Dios Altísimo, creador² del cielo y de la tierra^a, 23 que no tomaré ni un hilo ni una correa de zapato, ni ninguna cosa^a tuya, para que no digas: «Yo enriquecí a Abram». 24 Nada tomaré¹, excepto lo que los jóvenes han comido y la parte de los hombres que fueron conmigo: Aner, Escol y Mamre^a. Ellos tomarán su parte.

And it came about in the days of Amraphel king of ^aShinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of ^bElam, and Tidal king of ¹Goiim, 2 that they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of ^aAdmah, and Shemeber king of ^bZeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, ^cZoar). 3 All these kings ¹came as allies to ^athe Valley of Siddim (that is, ^bthe Salt Sea). 4 For twelve years they had served Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled. 5 And in the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and ¹defeated the ^aRephaim in ^bAshteroth-karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in ^2cShaveh-kiriathaim, 6 and the ^aHorites on their Mount Seir, as far as ^bEl-paran, which is by the wilderness. 7 Then they turned back and came to En-mishpat (that is, ^aKadesh), and ¹conquered all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, who lived in ^bHazazon-tamar. 8 And the king of Sodom and the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) came out; and they lined up for battle against them in ^athe Valley of Siddim, 9 against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of ¹Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar—four kings against five. 10 Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and ^athe kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell ¹into them. But those who survived fled to the ^bhill country. 11 Then they took all the possessions of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food supply, and departed. 12 They also took Lot, ^aAbram’s nephew, and his possessions and departed, ^bfor he was living in Sodom.

13 Then ¹a survivor came and told Abram the ^aHebrew. Now he was residing by the ^2boaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, and they were ^3callies with Abram. 14 When Abram heard that ^ahis relative had been taken captive, he ¹led out his trained men, ^bborn in his house, numbering 318, and went in pursuit as far as ^cDan. 15 Then ^ahe divided ¹his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and ²defeated them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is ³north of ^bDamascus. 16 He ^abrought back all the possessions, and also brought back ^bhis relative Lot with his possessions, and also the women, and the other people.

17 Then after his return from the ¹defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, ^athe king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, ^bthe King’s Valley). 18 And ^aMelchizedek the king of Salem brought out ^bbread and wine; now he was a ^cpriest of ¹God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said,“Blessed be Abram of ¹God Most High,^2aPossessor of heaven and earth;

21 Then the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give the ¹people to me and take the possessions for yourself.” 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have ¹sworn to the LORD ^2aGod Most High, ^3bPossessor of heaven and earth, 23 that ^aI will not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, so that you do not say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’ 24 ¹I will take nothing except what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me, ^aAner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their share.”
