Y vino a mí la palabra del SEÑOR, diciendo: 2 Y tú, hijo de hombre, di¹: «Así dice el Señor DIOS² a la tierra de Israel: “¡El fin, el fin viene sobre los cuatro extremos de la tierra!^a 3 Ahora viene el fin sobre ti y enviaré mi ira contra ti; te juzgaré conforme a tus caminos y traeré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones. 4 Mi ojo no tendrá piedad de ti ni yo te perdonaré; sino que te pagaré¹ conforme a tus caminos, y tus abominaciones en medio de ti quedarán^a; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR^b”».

5 Así dice el Señor DIOS¹: «¡Un desastre!, ¡he aquí que viene un desastre sin igual!^a 6 El fin viene, viene el fin; se ha despertado contra ti^a; he aquí, ha venido. 7 Te ha llegado tu turno¹, oh habitante de la tierra. Ha llegado el tiempo, se acerca el día^a; pánico, y no júbilo, en los montes^b. 8 Ahora pronto derramaré mi furor sobre ti y descargaré mi ira contra ti^a; te juzgaré conforme a tus caminos y traeré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones^b. 9 Mi ojo no tendrá piedad ni yo perdonaré. Te pagaré¹ conforme a tus caminos, y tus abominaciones quedarán en medio de ti; y sabréis que soy yo, el SEÑOR, el que hiere.

10 »He aquí el día; he aquí que viene. Ha salido tu turno¹, ha florecido la vara^a, ha reverdecido la arrogancia. 11 Se ha levantado la violencia para hacerse vara de impiedad^a. Nada quedará de ellos, ni de su multitud, ni de su riqueza, ni gloria entre ellos^b. 12 El tiempo ha venido, ha llegado el día. No se alegre el que compra^a ni se lamente el que vende, porque el furor está sobre toda su multitud^b. 13 Ciertamente el vendedor no recuperará lo vendido^1a mientras ambos vivan², porque la visión acerca de toda su multitud no será revocada³; y nadie, por su iniquidad, podrá conservar su vida.

14 »Han tocado la trompeta^a y lo han preparado todo, pero nadie va a la batalla; porque mi furor está contra toda su multitud. 15 La espada está afuera, y la plaga y el hambre están dentro. El que esté en el campo morirá a espada, y al que esté en la ciudad, la plaga y el hambre lo consumirán^a. 16 Aun cuando escapen los sobrevivientes^a, estarán sobre los montes como palomas de los valles, todos ellos gimiendo^b por su iniquidad. 17 Todas las manos se debilitarán, y todas las rodillas serán¹ como de agua^a. 18 Se ceñirán de cilicio^a y los cubrirá el terror^b; habrá en todos los rostros vergüenza y todas las cabezas estarán rapadas^c. 19 Arrojarán su plata en las calles y su oro se convertirá en cosa abominable^a; ni su plata ni su oro podrán librarlos el día de la ira del SEÑOR^b. No saciarán su apetito¹ ni llenarán sus estómagos, porque su iniquidad ha llegado a ser ocasión de tropiezo. 20 Cambiaron la belleza de sus ornamentos en orgullo, y de ellos hicieron las imágenes de sus abominaciones^a y de sus cosas detestables; por tanto haré que esto sea cosa abominable para ellos. 21 La entregaré en manos de extraños por botín y a los impíos de la tierra por despojo, y la profanarán^a. 22 Apartaré de ellos mi rostro^a y profanarán mi lugar secreto; entrarán en él ladrones y lo profanarán.

23 »Haz la cadena^a, porque la tierra está llena de crímenes sangrientos^1b y la ciudad llena de violencia^c. 24 Por tanto, traeré a las más perversas de las naciones^a, que se apoderarán de sus casas; y haré cesar el orgullo de los poderosos^b y sus santuarios serán profanados^c. 25 Cuando llegue la angustia, buscarán la paz, pero no la habrá^a. 26 Vendrá calamidad sobre calamidad^a, y habrá rumor tras rumor^b; entonces buscarán visión del profeta^c, y la ley desaparecerá del sacerdote^d y el consejo de los ancianos^e. 27 El rey hará duelo, el príncipe se vestirá de horror y temblarán^1a las manos del pueblo de la tierra. Según su conducta los trataré y por sus juicios los juzgaré; y sabrán que yo soy el SEÑOR».

Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “And you, son of man, this is what the Lord ¹GOD says to the land of Israel: ‘An ^aend! The end is coming on the four corners of the land. 3 Now the end is upon you, for I will send My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and ¹bring all your abominations upon you. 4 And My eye will have no pity on you, nor will I spare you, but I will ^1abring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will ^bknow that I am the LORD!’

5 “This is what the Lord ¹GOD says: ‘A ^adisaster, a unique disaster, behold, it is coming! 6 An end ¹is coming; the end has come! It has ^aawakened against you; behold, it has come! 7 Your ¹doom has come to you, you inhabitant of the land. The ^atime has come, the ^bday is near—panic rather than joyful shouting on the mountains. 8 Now I will shortly ^apour out My wrath on you and expend My anger against you; I will ^bjudge you according to your ways and ¹bring on you all your abominations. 9 My eye will have no pity nor will I spare you. I will ¹repay you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst; then you will know that I, the LORD, am striking.

10 ‘Behold, the day! Behold, it is coming! Your ¹doom has gone forth; the ^arod has budded, arrogance has blossomed. 11 Violence ¹has grown into a rod of ^awickedness. None of them shall remain, none of their ²people, none of their ^bwealth, nor anything eminent among them. 12 The ^atime has come, the day has arrived. Let neither the ^bbuyer rejoice nor the seller mourn; for ^cwrath is against all their multitude. 13 Indeed, the seller will not ^1aregain ²what he sold as long as ³they both live; for the vision regarding all their multitude will not ⁴be averted, nor will any of them maintain his life by his wrongdoing.

14 ‘They have ^ablown the trumpet and made everything ready, but no one is going to the battle, for My wrath is against all ¹their multitude. 15 The ^asword is outside the city and the plague and the famine are within. Anyone who is in the field will die by the sword, while famine and the plague will consume those in the city. 16 Even when their survivors ^aescape, they will be on the mountains like ^bdoves of the valleys, all of them ^cmoaning, each over his own wrongdoing. 17 All ^ahands will hang limp, and all ¹knees will drip with water. 18 They will ^aput on sackcloth and ^bshuddering will overwhelm them; and shame will be on all faces, and a ^1cbald patch on all their heads. 19 They will ^afling their silver into the streets, and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their ^bsilver and their gold will not be able to save them on the day of the wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their ¹appetite, nor can they fill their stomachs, because their wrongdoing has become a cause of stumbling.

20 Moreover, they transformed the splendor of His jewels into pride, and ^athey made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with it; therefore I will make it an abhorrent thing to them. 21 And I will hand it over to the ^aforeigners as plunder, and to the wicked of the earth as spoils; and they will profane it. 22 I will also turn My ^aface away from them, and they will profane My treasure; then robbers will enter and profane it.

23 ‘^aMake the ¹chain, for the land is full of ^2bbloody crimes, and the city is ^cfull of violence. 24 Therefore, I will bring the worst of the ^anations, and they will take possession of their houses. I will also put an end to the ^bpride of the strong ones, and their ^choly places will be profaned. 25 When anguish comes, they will seek ^apeace, but there will be none. 26 ^aDisaster will come upon disaster and ^brumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a ^cvision from a prophet, but the ^dLaw will be lost from the priest, and ^ecounsel from the elders. 27 The king will mourn, the prince will be ^aclothed in horror, and the hands of the people of the land will ¹tremble. I will deal with them because of their conduct, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the LORD.’”
