Oíd esta palabra, vacas de Basán^a, que estáis en el monte de Samaria^b,las que oprimís a los pobres, quebrantáis a los menesterosos^c,y decís a vuestros maridos¹: Traed ahora, para que bebamos^d.2 El Señor DIOS¹ ha jurado^a por su santidad^b:He aquí, vienen sobre vosotras díasen que os llevarán² con garfios^c,y a vuestro remanente con anzuelos^d.3 Saldréis por las brechas^a,una tras¹ otra,y seréis expulsadas² al Harmón—declara el SEÑOR.

4 Entrad en Betel y pecad,multiplicad en Gilgal las transgresiones;traed vuestros sacrificios cada mañana^a,vuestros diezmos cada tres días.5 Ofreced¹ también pan² leudado en ofrenda de gratitud^a,y proclamad ofrendas voluntarias^b, dadlas a conocer,puesto que así os place^c, hijos de Israel—declara el Señor DIOS.

6 Yo también os he dado dientes limpios en todas vuestras ciudades,y falta de pan en todos vuestros lugares^a;pero no os habéis vuelto a mí^b—declara el SEÑOR.7 Y además os retuve la lluvia^acuando aún faltaban tres meses para la siega;hice llover sobre una ciudady sobre otra ciudad no hice llover;sobre una parte llovía,y la parte donde no llovía, se secó^b.8 Así que de dos o tres ciudades iban tambaleándose a otra ciudad para beber agua^a,y no se saciaban^b;pero no os habéis vuelto a mí^c—declara el SEÑOR.9 Os herí con viento abrasador y con añublo^a;y la oruga ha devoradovuestros muchos huertos y viñedos, vuestras higueras y vuestros olivos^b;pero no os habéis vuelto a mí—declara el SEÑOR^c.10 Envié contra vosotros una plaga, como la plaga de Egipto^a,maté a espada a vuestros jóvenes^b, junto con vuestros caballos capturados^c,e hice subir hasta vuestras narices el hedor de vuestro campamento^d;pero no os habéis vuelto a mí^e—declara el SEÑOR.11 Os destruí como Dios destruyó a Sodoma y a Gomorra^a,y fuisteis como tizón arrebatado de la hoguera^b;pero no os habéis vuelto a mí^c—declara el SEÑOR.12 Por tanto, así haré contigo, Israel;y porque te he de hacer esto,prepárate para encontrarte con tu Dios^a, oh Israel.13 Pues he aquí el que forma los montes^a, crea el viento^by declara al hombre cuáles son sus pensamientos^c,el que del alba hace tinieblas^dy camina sobre las alturas de la tierra^e:el SEÑOR, Dios de los ejércitos, es su nombre^f.

“Yet You Have Not Returned to Me”

Hear this word, you ¹cows of ^aBashan who are on the ^bmountain of Samaria,Who ^cexploit the poor, who oppress the needy,²And say to their ³husbands, “Bring now, that we may ^ddrink!”2 The Lord ¹GOD has ^asworn by His ^bholiness,“For behold, the days are coming upon youWhen ²they will take you away with ^cmeat hooks,And the last of you with ^dfish hooks.3 “You will ^ago out through holes in the walls,One in front of the other,And you ¹will be hurled to Harmon,” declares the LORD.

4 “Enter Bethel and do wrong;In Gilgal multiply wrongdoing!^aBring your sacrifices every morning,Your tithes every three days.5 “¹Offer a ^athanksgiving offering also from that which is leavened,And proclaim ^b²voluntary offerings, make them known.For so you ^clove to do, you sons of Israel,”Declares the Lord GOD.

6 “But I gave you also ^acleanness of teeth in all your cities,And lack of bread in all your places;Yet you have ^bnot returned to Me,” declares the LORD.7 “Furthermore, I ^awithheld the rain from youWhile there were still three months until harvest.Then I would send rain on one city,But on ^banother city I would not send rain;One part would be rained on,While the part not rained on would dry up.8 “So the people of two or three cities would stagger to another city to drink ^awater,But would ^bnot be satisfied;Yet you have ^cnot returned to Me,” declares the LORD.9 “I ^astruck you with scorching wind and mildew;The ^bcaterpillar was devouringYour many gardens and vineyards, fig trees and olive trees;Yet you have ^cnot returned to Me,” declares the LORD.10 “I sent a ^aplague among you ¹as in Egypt;I ^bkilled your young men with the sword, along with your ^ccaptured horses,And I made the ^dstench of your camp rise up in your nostrils;Yet you have ^enot returned to Me,” declares the LORD.11 “I overthrew you, as ^aGod overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,And you were like a ^blog snatched from a fire;Yet you have ^cnot returned to Me,” declares the LORD.12 “Therefore so I will do to you, Israel;Because I will do this to you,Prepare to ^ameet your God, Israel.”13 For behold, He who ^aforms mountains and ^bcreates the wind,And ^cdeclares to a person what are His thoughts,He who ^dmakes dawn into darknessAnd ^etreads on the high places of the earth,^fThe LORD God of armies is His name.
