Y una gran señal^a apareció en el cielo^b: una mujer^c vestida del sol^d, con¹ la luna debajo de sus pies, y una corona de doce estrellas sobre su cabeza; 2 estaba encinta, y gritaba*^a, estando de parto y con dolores de alumbramiento. 3 Entonces apareció otra señal en el cielo^a: he aquí, un gran dragón rojo^b que tenía siete cabezas^c y diez cuernos^d, y sobre sus cabezas había siete diademas^1e. 4 Su cola arrastró* la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo^a y las arrojó sobre la tierra^b. Y el dragón^c se paró delante de la mujer que estaba para dar a luz, a fin de devorar a su hijo^d cuando ella diera a luz. 5 Y ella dio a luz un hijo varón, que ha de regir¹ a todas las naciones² con vara de hierro^a; y su hijo fue arrebatado hasta Dios y hasta su trono^b. 6 Y la mujer huyó al desierto, donde tenía* un lugar preparado por Dios, para ser sustentada¹ allí, por mil doscientos sesenta días^a.

7 Entonces hubo guerra en el cielo: Miguel^a y sus ángeles combatieron contra el dragón^b. Y el dragón y sus ángeles lucharon^c, 8 pero no pudieron vencer¹, ni se halló ya lugar para ellos en el cielo. 9 Y fue arrojado el gran dragón^a, la serpiente antigua^b que se llama el diablo y Satanás^c, el cual engaña al mundo entero^1d; fue arrojado a la tierra^e y sus ángeles fueron arrojados con él. 10 Y oí una gran voz en el cielo^a, que decía:

Ahora ha venido la salvación^b, el poder y el reino de nuestro Dios^c y la autoridad de su Cristo¹, porque el acusador^d de nuestros hermanos, el que los acusa delante de nuestro Dios día y noche, ha sido arrojado. 11 Ellos lo vencieron^a por medio de la sangre del Cordero^b y por la palabra del testimonio de ellos^c, y no amaron sus vidas, llegando hasta sufrir la muerte^d. 12 Por lo cual regocijaos, cielos^a y los que moráis en ellos^b. ¡Ay de la tierra y del mar^c!, porque el diablo ha descendido a vosotros^d con¹ gran furor, sabiendo que tiene poco tiempo^e.

13 Cuando el dragón^a vio que había sido arrojado a la tierra, persiguió a la mujer que había dado a luz al hijo varón^b. 14 Y se le dieron a la mujer las dos alas de la gran águila^a a fin de que volara de la presencia¹ de la serpiente al desierto^b, a su lugar, donde fue* sustentada por un tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo^c. 15 Y la serpiente^a arrojó de su boca, tras la mujer, agua como un río, para hacer que fuera arrastrada por la corriente¹. 16 Pero la tierra ayudó a la mujer, y la tierra abrió su boca y tragó el río que el dragón había arrojado de su boca. 17 Entonces el dragón se enfureció contra la mujer, y salió para hacer guerra^a contra el resto de la descendencia de ella^b, los que guardan los mandamientos de Dios^c y tienen el testimonio de Jesús^d.

A great ^asign appeared ^bin heaven: ^ca woman ^dclothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; 2 and she was pregnant and she *^acried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.

3 Then ^aanother sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red ^bdragon having ^cseven heads and ^dten horns, and on his heads were ^eseven crowns. 4 And his tail *swept away a ^athird of the stars of heaven and ^bhurled them to the earth. And the ^cdragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth ^dhe might devour her Child.

5 And ^ashe gave birth to a Son, a male, who is going to ^1brule all the ²nations with a rod of iron; and her Child was ^ccaught up to God and to His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there ¹she would be nourished for ^a1,260 days.

7 And there was war in heaven, ^aMichael and his angels waging war with the ^bdragon. The dragon and ^chis angels waged war, 8 and they did not prevail, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great ^adragon was thrown down, the ^bserpent of old who is called the devil and ^cSatan, who ^ddeceives the whole ¹world; he was ^ethrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 Then I heard ^aa loud voice in heaven, saying,“Now the ^bsalvation, and the power, and the ^ckingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the ^daccuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they ^aovercame him because of ^bthe blood of the Lamb and because of ^cthe word of their testimony, and they ^ddid not love their life even ¹when faced with death. 12 For this reason, ^arejoice, you heavens and ^byou who dwell in them. ^cWoe to the earth and the sea, because ^dthe devil has come down to you with great wrath, knowing that he has only ^ea short time.”

13 And when the ^adragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted ^bthe woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14 But the ^atwo wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly ^binto the wilderness to her place, where she *was nourished for ^ca time, times, and half a time, away from the presence of the serpent. 15 And the ^aserpent hurled water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. 16 ¹But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had hurled out of his mouth. 17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to ^amake war with the rest of her ^1bchildren, who ^ckeep the commandments of God and ^dhold to the testimony of Jesus.
