Me fue dada una caña de medir¹ semejante a una vara^a, y alguien dijo^2b: Levántate y mide el templo³ de Dios y el altar, y a los que en él adoran. 2 Pero excluye¹ el patio^2a que está fuera del templo³, no lo midas, porque ha sido entregado a las naciones^b, yestas hollarán^c la ciudad santa^d por cuarenta y dos meses^e. 3 Y otorgaré autoridad a mis dos testigos^a, y ellos profetizarán por mil doscientos sesenta días^b, vestidos de cilicio^1c. 4 Estos son los dos olivos^a y los dos candelabros que están delante del Señor de la tierra. 5 Y si alguno quiere hacerles daño, de su boca sale fuego^a y devora a sus enemigos; así debe morir^b cualquiera que quisiera hacerles daño. 6 Estos tienen poder para cerrar el cielo^a a fin de que no llueva durante los días en que ellos profeticen^1b; y tienen poder sobre las aguas para convertirlas en sangre^c, y para herir la tierra con toda suerte de plagas todas las veces que quieran^d. 7 Cuando hayan terminado de dar su testimonio, la bestia^a que sube^b del abismo^c hará guerra contra ellos^d, los vencerá y los matará. 8 Y sus cadáveres yacerán¹ en la calle de la gran ciudad^a, que simbólicamente² se llama Sodoma^b y Egipto^c, donde también su Señor fue crucificado. 9 Y gente de todos los pueblos, tribus, lenguas y naciones^a, contemplarán¹ sus cadáveres² por tres días y medio, y no permitirán³ que sus cadáveres sean sepultados^b. 10 Y los que moran en la tierra^a se regocijarán¹ por² ellos y se alegrarán³, y se enviarán regalos unos a otros^b, porque estos dos profetas atormentaron a los que moran en la tierra^c. 11 Pero después de los tres días y medio, el aliento de vida de parte de Dios vino a ellos^a y se pusieron en pie, y gran temor cayó sobre quienes los contemplaban. 12 Entonces oyeron una gran voz del cielo que les decía: Subid acá^a. Y subieron al cielo en la nube^b, y sus enemigos los vieron. 13 En aquella misma hora hubo un gran terremoto^a y la décima parte de la ciudad se derrumbó, y siete mil personas¹ murieron en el terremoto, y los demás, aterrorizados, dieron gloria^b al Dios del cielo^c.

14 El segundo ¡ay! ha pasado^a; he aquí, el tercer ¡ay! viene pronto.

15 El séptimo ángel tocó la trompeta^a, y se levantaron grandes voces en el cielo^b, que decían:

El reino del mundo ha venido a ser el reino de nuestro Señor^c y de su Cristo^1d; y Él reinará por los siglos de los siglos^e. 16 Y los veinticuatro ancianos que estaban sentados delante de Dios en sus tronos^a, se postraron sobre sus rostros y adoraron a Dios^b, 17 diciendo:

Te damos gracias, oh Señor Dios Todopoderoso^a, el que eres y el que eras¹, porque has tomado tu gran poder y has comenzado a reinar^2b. 18 Y las naciones^a se enfurecieron, y vino tu ira y llegó el tiempo de juzgar a los muertos^b y de dar la recompensa a tus siervos los profetas^c, a los santos y a los que temen tu nombre, a los pequeños y a los grandes^d, y de destruir a los que destruyen la tierra.

19 El templo¹ de Dios^a que está en el cielo fue abierto; y el arca de su pacto^b se veía² en su templo³, y hubo relámpagos^c, voces⁴ y truenos, y un terremoto y una fuerte granizada^5d.

Then there was given to me a ^1ameasuring rod like a staff; ²and ^bsomeone said, “Get up and measure the ³temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 ¹Leave out the ^acourtyard which is outside the ²temple and do not measure it, because ^bit has been given to the nations; and they will ^ctrample ^dthe holy city for ^eforty-two months. 3 And I will grant authority to my two ^awitnesses, and they will prophesy for ^b1,260 days, clothed in ^csackcloth.” 4 These are the ^atwo olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, ^afire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and so if anyone wants to harm them, ^bhe must be killed in this way. 6 These have the power to ^ashut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during ^bthe days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to ^cturn them into blood, and ^dto strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire.

7 When they have finished their testimony, ^athe beast that comes up out of the ^babyss will ^cmake war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie on the street of the ^agreat city which ¹spiritually is called ^bSodom and ^cEgypt, where also their Lord was crucified. 9 Those from ^athe peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will look at their dead ¹bodies for three and a half days, and ^2bwill not allow their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 10 And ^athose who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will ^bsend gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented ^cthose who live on the earth.

11 And after the three and a half days, ^athe breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “^aCome up here.” And they ^bwent up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13 And ¹at that time there was a great ^aearthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; ²seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and ^bgave glory to the ^cGod of heaven.

14 The second ^awoe has passed; behold, the third woe is coming quickly.

15 Then the ^aseventh angel sounded; and there were ^bloud voices in heaven, saying,“^cThe kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of ^dHis ¹Christ; and ^eHe will reign forever and ever.” 16 And the twenty-four elders, who ^asit on their thrones before God, ^bfell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying,“We give You thanks, ^aLord God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to ^breign. 18 And ^athe nations were enraged, and ^bYour wrath came, and ^cthe time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to ¹reward Your ^dbond-servants the prophets and the ²saints and those who fear Your name, ^ethe small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

19 And ^athe ¹temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and ^bthe ark of His covenant appeared in His ²temple, and there were flashes of ^clightning and sounds and peals of thunder, and an earthquake, and a ^dgreat ³hailstorm.
