Como canales de agua es el corazón del rey en la mano del SEÑOR;Él lo dirige donde le place^a.2 Todo camino del hombre es recto ante sus ojos,pero el SEÑOR sondea¹ los corazones^a.3 El hacer justicia y derechoes más deseado por el SEÑOR que el sacrificio^a.4 Ojos altivos y corazón arrogante,lámpara de los impíos^a; eso es pecado.5 Los proyectos del diligente ciertamente son ventaja^a,mas todo el que se apresura, ciertamente llega a la pobreza^b.6 Conseguir tesoros^a con lengua mentirosaes un vapor fugaz, es buscar¹ la muerte^b.7 La violencia de los impíos los arrastrará,porque se niegan a obrar con justicia¹^a.8 Torcido es el camino del pecador¹^amas el proceder del limpio es recto.9 Mejor es vivir en un rincón del terradoque en una casa con mujer rencillosa¹.10 El alma del impío desea el mal;su prójimo no halla favor a sus ojos^a.11 Cuando el escarnecedor es castigado, el simple se hace sabio^a;pero cuando se instruye al sabio, adquiere conocimiento.12 El justo observa la casa del impío,llevando al impío a la ruina^a.13 El que cierra su oído al clamor del pobre^a,también él clamará y no recibirá respuesta^b.14 Una dádiva^a en secreto aplaca la ira,y el soborno bajo el manto¹, el furor violento.15 El cumplimiento de la justicia¹ es gozo para el justo,pero terror para los que obran iniquidad^a.16 El hombre que se aparta del camino del saberreposará en la asamblea de los muertos¹^a.17 El que ama el placer será pobre^a;el que ama el vino y los ungüentos no se enriquecerá.18 El impío es rescate para el justo^a,y el pérfido está en lugar de los rectos^b.19 Mejor es habitar en tierra desiertaque con mujer rencillosa y molesta^a.20 Tesoro precioso y aceite hay en la casa del sabio^a,pero el necio todo lo disipa^b.21 El que sigue la justicia^a y la lealtad¹halla vida, justicia y honor.22 El sabio escala la ciudad de los poderososy derriba la fortaleza en que confiaban¹^a.23 El que guarda su boca y su lengua,guarda su alma de angustias^a.24 Altivo, arrogante y escarnecedor^a son los nombresdel que obra con orgullo insolente^b.25 El deseo del perezoso^a lo mata,porque sus manos rehúsan trabajar;26 todo el día codicia¹,mientras el justo da y nada retiene^a.27 El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación^a,cuánto más trayéndolo con mala intención.28 El testigo falso perecerá^a,mas el hombre que escucha, hablará siempre.29 El hombre impío muestra audacia en¹ su rostro^a,pero el recto asegura su camino^b.30 No vale sabiduría, ni entendimiento,ni consejo, frente al SEÑOR^a.31 Se prepara al caballo para el día de la batalla^a,pero la victoria¹ es del SEÑOR^b.

On Life and Conduct

The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD;He ^aturns it wherever He pleases.2 ^aEvery person’s way is right in his own eyes,But the LORD ^bexamines the hearts.3 To do ^arighteousness and justiceIs preferred by the LORD more than sacrifice.4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart,The ^alamp of the wicked, is sin.5 The plans of the ^adiligent certainly lead to advantage,But everyone ^bwho is in a hurry certainly comes to poverty.6 The ^aacquisition of treasures by a lying tongueIs a fleeting vapor, the ¹pursuit of ^bdeath.7 The violence of the wicked will sweep them away,Because they ^arefuse to act with justice.8 The way of a guilty person is ^acrooked,But as for the pure, his conduct is upright.9 It is better to live on a corner of a roofThan ¹in a house shared with a contentious woman.10 The soul of the wicked desires evil;His ^aneighbor is shown no compassion in his eyes.11 When the ^ascoffer is punished, the naive becomes wise;But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.12 The ¹righteous one considers the house of the wicked,Bringing the ^awicked to ruin.13 One who ^ashuts his ear to the outcry of the poorWill also call out himself, and not be ^banswered.14 A ^agift in secret subdues anger,And a bribe ¹in an inside pocket, strong wrath.15 The exercise of justice is joy for the righteous,But ^aterror to those who practice injustice.16 A person who wanders from the way of understandingWill ^arest in the assembly of the ¹dead.17 One who ^aloves pleasure will become a poor person;One who loves wine and oil will not become rich.18 The wicked is a ^aransom for the righteous,And the ^btreacherous is in the place of the upright.19 ^aIt is better to live in a desert landThan with a contentious and irritating woman.20 There is precious ^atreasure and oil in the home of the wise,But a foolish person ^bswallows it up.21 One who ^apursues righteousness and loyaltyFinds life, righteousness, and honor.22 A ^awise person scales the city of the mightyAnd brings down the ¹stronghold in which they trust.23 One who ^aguards his mouth and his tongue,Guards his soul from troubles.24 “Proud,” “Arrogant,” “^aScoffer,” are his names,One who acts with ^binsolent pride.25 The ^adesire of the ¹lazy one puts him to death,For his hands refuse to work;26 All day long he ¹is craving,While the righteous ^agives and does not hold back.27 The ^asacrifice of the wicked is an abomination,How much more when he brings it with evil intent!28 A ^afalse witness will perish,But a person who listens will speak forever.29 A wicked person ¹^adisplays a bold face,But as for the ^bupright, he makes his way sure.30 There is ^ano wisdom, no understanding,And no ¹plan against the LORD.31 The ^ahorse is prepared for the day of battle,But the ^bvictory belongs to the LORD.
