La balanza falsa es abominación al SEÑOR^a,pero el peso cabal es su deleite^b.2 Cuando viene la soberbia, viene también la deshonra;pero con los humildes está la sabiduría^a.3 La integridad de los rectos los guiará,mas la perversidad de los pérfidos los destruirá^a.4 De nada sirven las riquezas el día de la ira^a,pero la justicia libra de la muerte^b.5 La justicia del íntegro¹ enderezará su camino^a,pero el impío caerá por su propia impiedad^b.6 La justicia de los rectos los librará,mas los pérfidos en su codicia serán atrapados^a.7 Cuando muere el hombre impío, su esperanza se acaba^a,y la expectación^b de los poderosos perece.8 El justo es librado de tribulación,y el impío toma¹ su lugar.9 Con la boca el impío destruye a su prójimo^a,mas por el conocimiento los justos serán librados^b.10 Con el bien de los justos, se regocija la ciudad^a,y cuando perecen los impíos, hay gritos de alegría.11 Por la bendición de los rectos, se enaltece la ciudad,pero por la boca de los impíos, es derribada.12 Él que menosprecia a su prójimo carece de entendimiento¹,pero el hombre prudente guarda silencio.13 Él que anda en chismes revela secretos^a,pero el de espíritu leal oculta las cosas^b.14 Donde no hay buen consejo, el pueblo cae,pero en la abundancia de consejeros está la victoria¹^a.15 Ciertamente sufrirá el que sale fiador por un extraño^a,pero el que odia salir fiador¹ está seguro.16 La mujer agraciada alcanza honra^a,y los poderosos¹ alcanzan riquezas.17 El hombre misericordioso se hace bien a sí mismo¹^a,pero el cruel a sí mismo se hace daño².18 El impío gana salario engañoso,pero el que siembra justicia recibe verdadera recompensa^a.19 Él que persiste en la justicia alcanzará la vida^a,y el que va en pos del mal, su propia muerte^b.20 Los de corazón perverso son abominación al SEÑOR,pero los de camino intachable¹^a son su deleite^b.21 Ciertamente¹ el malvado no quedará sin castigo,mas la descendencia² de los justos será librada.22 Como anillo de oro en el hocico de un cerdo^aes la mujer hermosa que carece de discreción¹.23 El deseo de los justos essolo el bien,la esperanza de los malvados es la ira^a.24 Hay quien reparte, y le es añadido más,y hay quien retiene lo que es justo,solo para venir a menos.25 El alma generosa¹ será prosperada²^a,y el que riega será también regado^b.26 Al que retiene el grano, el pueblo lo maldecirá^a,pero habrá bendición^b sobre la cabeza del que lo vende^c.27 Él que con diligencia busca el bien, se procura favor,pero el que busca el mal, le vendrá^a.28 Él que confía en sus riquezas^a, caerá,pero los justos prosperarán como la hoja verde^b.29 Él que turba su casa^a, heredará viento^b,y el necio será siervo del sabio de corazón^c.30 El fruto del justo es árbol de vida^a,y el que gana¹ almas es sabio^b.31 Si el justo es recompensado^a en la tierra,¡cuánto más el impío y el pecador!

Contrast of the Upright and the Wicked

A ^afalse balance is an abomination to the LORD,But a ^bjust weight is His delight.2 When ^apride comes, then comes dishonor;But with the humble there is wisdom.3 The ^aintegrity of the upright will guide them,But the ^bperversity of the treacherous will destroy them.4 ^aRiches do not benefit on the day of wrath,But ^brighteousness rescues from death.5 The ^arighteousness of the blameless will smooth his way,But ^bthe wicked will fall by his own wickedness.6 The righteousness of the upright will rescue them,But the treacherous will ^abe caught by their own greed.7 When a wicked person dies, his ^aexpectation will perish,And the ^bhope of strong people perishes.8 The righteous is rescued from trouble,But the wicked ¹takes his place.9 With his ^amouth the godless person destroys his neighbor,But through knowledge the ^brighteous will be rescued.10 When things ^ago well for the righteous, the city rejoices,And when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting.11 By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,But by the mouth of the wicked, it is torn down.12 One who despises his neighbor lacks ¹sense,But a person of understanding keeps silent.13 One ^awho goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets,But one who is ¹trustworthy ^bconceals a matter.14 Where there is no ^aguidance the people fall,But in an abundance of counselors there is ¹victory.15 One who is a ^aguarantor for a stranger will certainly suffer for it,But one who hates ¹being a guarantor is secure.16 A ^agracious woman attains honor,And ruthless men attain riches.17 A ^amerciful person does ¹himself good,But the cruel person ²does himself harm.18 A wicked person earns deceptive wages,But one who ^asows righteousness gets a true reward.19 One who is steadfast in ^arighteousness attains life,But ^bone who pursues evil attains his own death.20 The perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD,But the ^ablameless in their ¹walk are His ^bdelight.21 ¹Be assured, the evil person will not go unpunished,But the ²descendants of the righteous will be rescued.22 As a ^aring of gold in a pig’s snoutSo is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.23 The desire of the righteous is only good,But the ^aexpectation of the wicked is wrath.24 There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more,And there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in poverty.25 A ¹^agenerous person will be ²prosperous,And one who ^bgives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty.26 One who withholds grain, the ^apeople will curse him,But ^bblessing will be on the head of him who ^csells it.27 One who diligently seeks good seeks favor,But ^aone who seeks evil, evil will come to him.28 One who ^atrusts in his riches will fall,But ^bthe righteous will flourish like the green leaf.29 One who ^atroubles his own house will ^binherit wind,And ^cthe foolish will be servant to the wise-hearted.30 The fruit of the righteous is ^aa tree of life,And ^bone who is wise ¹gains souls.31 If ^athe righteous will be repaid on the earth,How much more the wicked and the sinner!
