Y el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, diciendo: 2 Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles¹: «Cuando una mujer dé a luz² y tenga varón, quedará impura por siete días; como en los días de su menstruación^3a, será impura. 3 Al octavo día la carne del¹ prepucio del niño será circuncidada^a. 4 Y ella permanecerá en la sangre de su purificación por treinta y tres días; no tocará ninguna cosa consagrada ni entrará al santuario hasta que los días de su purificación sean cumplidos. 5 Pero si da a luz una niña, quedará impura por dos semanas, como en los días de su menstruación¹; y permanecerá en la sangre de su purificación por sesenta y seis días.

6 »Cuando se cumplan los días de su purificación^a por un hijo o por una hija, traerá al sacerdote, a la entrada de la tienda de reunión, un cordero de un año como holocausto, y un pichón o una tórtola como ofrenda por el pecado^b. 7 Entonces él los ofrecerá delante del SEÑOR y hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia del flujo¹ de su sangre. Esta es la ley para la que da a luz, sea hijo o hija. 8 Pero si no le alcanzan los recursos para ofrecer un cordero¹, entonces tomará dos tórtolas o dos pichones^a, uno para el holocausto y el otro para la ofrenda por el pecado^b; y el sacerdote hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia^c».

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying:‘When a woman gives birth and delivers a male child, then she shall be unclean for seven days; ^aas she is in the days of her menstruation, she shall be unclean. 3 Then on ^athe eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 And she shall stay at home in her condition of ¹blood purification for thirty-three days; she shall not touch any consecrated thing, nor enter the sanctuary until the days of her purification are completed. 5 But if she gives birth to a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her menstruation; and she shall stay at home in her condition of ¹blood purification for sixty-six days.

6 ‘^aWhen the days of her purification are completed, for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest at the doorway of the tent of meeting a one-year-old lamb as a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove ^bas a ¹sin offering. 7 Then he shall offer it before the LORD and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the ¹flow of her blood. This is the law for her who gives birth to a child, whether a male or a female. 8 But if ¹she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take ^atwo turtledoves or two young doves, ^bthe one as a burnt offering and the other as a ²sin offering; and the ^cpriest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
