Entonces toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel se reunió en Silo^a, y levantaron allí la tienda de reunión; y la tierra estaba sometida delante de ellos. 2 Y quedaban siete tribus de los hijos de Israel que no habían repartido su heredad. 3 Dijo, pues, Josué a los hijos de Israel: ¿Hasta cuándo pospondréis el entrar a tomar posesión de la tierra^a que el SEÑOR, el Dios de vuestros padres, os ha dado? 4 Escoged¹ tres hombres de cada² tribu, a quienes yo enviaré, y ellos se levantarán y recorrerán la tierra, y harán una descripción de ella según su heredad; entonces volverán³ a mí. 5 Y la dividirán en siete partes; Judá se quedará en su territorio en el sur^a, y la casa de José se quedará en su territorio en el norte. 6 Y describiréis la tierra en siete partes, y me traeréis aquí la descripción. Y yo os echaré suertes^a aquí delante del SEÑOR nuestro Dios. 7 Pues los levitas no tienen porción entre vosotros porque el sacerdocio del SEÑOR es su herencia^a. Gad, Rubén y la media tribu de Manasés también han recibido su herencia al otro lado del Jordán hacia el oriente, la cual les dio Moisés, siervo del SEÑOR.

8 Entonces los hombres se levantaron y partieron, y Josué ordenó a los que salieron a describir la tierra, diciendo: Id y recorred la tierra, y describidla y volved a mí; entonces os echaré suertes aquí en Silo^a delante del SEÑOR. 9 Y los hombres fueron y recorrieron la tierra y la describieron por ciudades en siete partes en un libro; y vinieron a Josué en el campamento en Silo. 10 Y Josué les echó suertes en Silo delante del SEÑOR, y allí Josué repartió la tierra a los hijos de Israel conforme a sus divisiones^a.

11 Y salió¹ la suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín conforme a sus familias, y el territorio de su suerte estaba² entre los hijos de Judá y los hijos de José. 12 Y su límite por el lado norte comenzaba en¹ el Jordán, subía² por el lado de Jericó al norte, ascendía por la región montañosa hacia el occidente y terminaba³ en el desierto de Bet-avén^a. 13 De allí el límite seguía hasta Luz, por el lado sur de Luz, es decir, Betel^a; y el límite bajaba hasta Atarot-adar, cerca del monte que está al sur de Bet-horón^b de abajo. 14 Y el límite doblaba allí y se extendía hacia el sur por el lado occidental, desde el monte que está frente a Bet-horón hacia el sur; y terminaba¹ en Quiriat-baal, es decir, Quiriat-jearim, ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Este era el límite occidental. 15 Y por el lado sur, desde el extremo de Quiriat-jearim, el límite seguía hacia el occidente e iba hasta la fuente de las aguas de Neftoa^a. 16 Entonces el límite bajaba hasta la orilla del monte que está en el valle de Ben-hinom^1a, que está en el valle de Refaim hacia el norte; y bajaba al valle de Hinom, hasta la ladera del jebuseo hacia el sur, y bajaba hasta En-rogel². 17 Luego doblaba hacia el norte e iba hasta En-semes y hasta Gelitot, que está frente a la subida de Adumín, y bajaba hasta la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén^a, 18 continuaba por el lado frente al Arabá hacia el norte y bajaba hasta el Arabá. 19 El límite seguía por el lado de Bet-hogla hacia el norte, y terminaba¹ en la bahía norte del mar Salado, en el extremo sur del Jordán. Este era el límite sur. 20 El Jordán era su límite al lado oriental. Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín, conforme a sus familias y conforme a sus límites alrededor.

21 Y las ciudades de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín, conforme a sus familias, eran: Jericó, Bet-hogla, Emec-casis, 22 Bet-arabá, Zemaraim, Betel, 23 Avim, Pará, Ofra, 24 Quefar-haamoni, Ofni y Geba^a; doce ciudades con sus aldeas. 25 Gabaón, Ramá, Beerot, 26 Mizpa, Cafira, Mozah, 27 Requem, Irpeel, Tarala, 28 Zela^a, Elef, Jebús, es decir, Jerusalén, Guibeá¹ y Quiriat; catorce ciudades con sus aldeas. Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín^b conforme a sus familias.

Then the whole congregation of the sons of Israel assembled at ^aShiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there; and the land was subdued before them.

2 But there remained among the sons of Israel seven tribes who had not divided their inheritance. 3 So Joshua said to the sons of Israel, “^aHow long will you ¹put off entering to take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you? 4 Provide for yourselves three men from ¹each tribe so that I may send them, and that they may arise and walk through the land and write a description of it according to their inheritance; then they shall ²return to me. 5 And they shall divide it into seven portions; ^aJudah shall stay in its territory on the south, and the house of Joseph shall stay in their territory on the north. 6 And you shall write a description of the land in seven divisions, and bring the description here to me. ^aThen I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God. 7 For ^athe Levites have no portion among you, because the priesthood of the LORD is ¹their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh also have received their inheritance eastward beyond the Jordan, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.”

8 Then the men arose and went, and Joshua commanded those who went to write a description of the land, saying, “Go and walk through the land and write a description of it, and return to me; then I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in ^aShiloh.” 9 So the men went and passed through the land, and wrote a description of it by cities in seven divisions in a book; and they came to Joshua at the camp at Shiloh. 10 ^aJoshua then cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD, and there Joshua divided the land for the sons of Israel according to their divisions.

11 Now the lot of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin came up according to their families, and the territory of their lot ¹lay between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph. 12 ^aTheir border on the north side was from the Jordan, then the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward, and ¹it ended at the wilderness of Beth-aven. 13 Then from there the border continued to ^aLuz, to the side of Luz (that is, Bethel) southward; and the border went down to Ataroth-addar, near the hill which lies on the south of ^blower Beth-horon. 14 And the border changed direction from there and turned around on the west side southward, from the hill which lies opposite Beth-horon southward; and ¹it ended at Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), a city of the sons of Judah. This was the west side. 15 Then the ^asouth side was from the edge of Kiriath-jearim, and the border went westward and went to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah. 16 Then the border went down to the edge of the hill which is ¹in the ^aValley of Ben-hinnom, which is in the Valley of Rephaim northward; and it went down to the Valley of Hinnom, to the slope of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En-rogel. 17 Then it turned northward and went to En-shemesh, and went to Geliloth, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim, and it went down to the ^astone of Bohan the son of Reuben. 18 And it continued to the side in front of the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah. 19 Then the border continued to the side of Beth-hoglah northward; and the ¹border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the southern border. 20 Moreover, the Jordan was its border on the east side. This was the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families, and according to its borders all around.

21 Now the cities of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth-hoglah, and Emek-keziz, 22 Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, and Bethel, 23 Avvim, Parah, and Ophrah, 24 Chephar-ammoni, Ophni, and ^aGeba; twelve cities with their villages. 25 Gibeon, Ramah, and Beeroth, 26 Mizpeh, Chephirah, and Mozah, 27 Rekem, Irpeel, and Taralah, 28 ^aZelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah, Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the ^bsons of Benjamin according to their families.
