¿Por qué, oh SEÑOR, te mantienes alejadoa,y te escondes1b en tiempos de tribulación?2 Con arrogancia el impío acosa1 al afligidoa;¡que sea2 atrapado en las trampas que ha urdidob!
3 Porque del deseo de su corazón1a se jacta el impíob,y el codicioso maldice2 y desprecia al SEÑORc.4 El impío, en la altivez de su rostro, no busca a Diosa.Todo su pensamiento es1: No hay Dios2b.
5 Sus caminos prosperan1 en todo tiempoa;tus juicios, oh Dios, están en lo alto, lejos de su vistab;a todos sus adversarios los desprecia.6 Dice en su corazón: No hay quien me mueva1a;por todas las generaciones no sufriré adversidadb.7 Llena está su boca de blasfemiaa, engaño y opresiónb;bajo su lengua hay malicia e iniquidadc.8 Se sienta al acecho en las aldeasa,en los escondrijos mata al inocenteb;sus ojos espían1 al desvalido2c.9 Acecha en el escondrijo como león en su guaridaa;acechab para atrapar al afligidoc,y atrapa al afligido arrastrándolo a su redd.10 Se agazapa, se encoge,y los desdichados1 caen en sus garras.11 Dice en su corazón: Dios se ha olvidado;ha escondido su rostro; nunca verá nadaa.
12 Levántate, oh SEÑOR; alza, oh Dios, tu manoa.No te olvides de los pobresb.13 ¿Por qué ha despreciado el impío a Diosa?Ha dicho en su corazón: Tú no lo requerirás.14 Tú lo has visto, porque has contemplado la malicia y la vejacióna, para hacer justicia con1 tu mano.A ti se acoge el desvalido2b;tú has sido amparo3 del huérfanoc.15 Quiebra tú el brazo del impío y del malvadoa;persigue su maldad hasta que desaparezca1b.
16 El SEÑOR es Rey eternamente y para siemprea;las naciones han perecido de su tierrab.17 Oh SEÑOR, tú has oído el deseo de los humildes1a;tú fortalecerás su corazónb e inclinarás tu oídoc18 para vindicar1 al huérfanoa y al afligidob;para que no vuelva a causar terror el hombre de la tierra2c.

Why ado You stand far away, LORD?Why bdo You hide 1Yourself in times of trouble?2 In aarrogance the wicked hotly pursue the needy;1Let them be bcaught in the plots which they have devised.
3 For the wicked aboasts of his bsoul’s desire,And 1the greedy person curses and cshows disrespect to the LORD.4 The wicked, 1in his haughtiness, adoes not seek Him.bThere is no God in all his schemes.
5 His ways asucceed at all times;Yet Your judgments are on high, bout of his sight;As for all his enemies, he snorts at them.6 He says to himself, “aI will not be moved;1Throughout the generations bI will not be in adversity.”7 His amouth is full of cursing, deceit, and boppression;cUnder his tongue is harm and injustice.8 He sits in the alurking places of the villages;He bkills the innocent in the secret places;His eyes 1surreptitiously watch for the 2cunfortunate.9 He lurks in secret like aa lion in his 1lair;He blurks to catch cthe needy;He catches the needy when he pulls him into his dnet.10 Then he crushes the needy one, who cowers;And 1unfortunate people fall by his mighty power.11 He asays to himself, “God has forgotten;He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”
12 Arise, LORD; God, alift up Your hand.bDo not forget the humble.13 Why has the wicked atreated God disrespectfully?He has said to himself, “1You will not require an account.”14 You have seen it, for You have looked at aharm and provocation to 1take it into Your hand.The 2bunfortunate commits himself to You;You have been the chelper of the orphan.15 aBreak the arm of the wicked and the evildoer,1bSeek out his wickedness until You find none.
16 The LORD is aKing forever and ever;bNations have perished from His land.17 LORD, You have heard the adesire of the humble;You will bstrengthen their heart, cYou will make Your ear attentive18 To 1vindicate the aorphan and the boppressed,So that mankind, which is of the earth, will no longer cause cterror.

3 For the wicked aboasts and sings the praises of his bheart’s desire,And the greedy man curses and cspurns and even despises the LORD.4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his face, awill not seek nor inquire for Him;All his thoughts are, “bThere is no God so there is no accountability or punishment.”
5 His ways aprosper at all times;Your judgments LORD are on high, bout of his sight so he never thinks about them;As for all his enemies, he sneers at them.6 He says to himself, “aI will not be moved;For throughout all generations bI will not be in adversity for nothing bad will happen to me.”7 His amouth is full of curses and deceit (fraud) and boppression;cUnder his tongue is mischief and wickedness injustice and sin.8 He lurks in aambush in the villages;In hiding places he bkills the innocent;He lies in wait for the cunfortunate the unhappy, the poor, the helpless.9 He lurks in a hiding place like aa lion in his lair;He blies in wait to catch cthe afflicted;He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his dnet.10 He crushes his prey and crouches;And the unfortunate fall by his mighty claws.11 He asays to himself, “God has quite forgotten;He has hidden His face; He will never see my deed.”
12 Arise, O LORD! O God, alift up Your hand in judgment;bDo not forget the suffering.13 Why has the wicked aspurned and shown disrespect to God?He has said to himself, “You will not require me to account.”14 You have seen it, for You have noted amischief and vexation (irritation) to take it into Your hand.The bunfortunate commits himself to You;You are the chelper of the fatherless.15 aBreak the arm of the wicked and the evildoer,bSeek out his wickedness until You find no more.
16 The LORD is aKing forever and ever;The bnations will perish from His land.17 O LORD, You have heard the adesire of the humble and oppressed;You will bstrengthen their heart, cYou will incline Your ear to hear,18 To vindicate and obtain justice for the afatherless and the boppressed,So that man who is of the earth will no longer cterrify them.
