Entonces Miriam y Aarón hablaron contra Moisés por causa de la mujer cusita con quien se había casado (pues se había casado con una mujer cusita^a); 2 y dijeron: ¿Es cierto que el SEÑOR ha habladosolo mediante Moisés? ¿No ha hablado también mediante nosotros^a? Y el SEÑOR lo oyó. 3 (Moisés era un hombre¹ muy humilde^a, más que cualquier otro hombre sobre la faz de la tierra.) 4 Y el SEÑOR de repente dijo a Moisés, a Aarón y a Miriam: Salid vosotros tres a la tienda de reunión. Y salieron los tres. 5 Entonces el SEÑOR descendió en una columna de nube^a y se puso a la puerta de la tienda; y llamó a Aarón y a Miriam¹. Y cuando los dos se adelantaron, 6 Él dijo:Oíd ahora mis palabras:Si entre vosotros hay profeta,yo, el SEÑOR, me manifestaré a él en visión^a.Hablaré con él en sueños^b.

9 Y se encendió la ira del SEÑOR contra ellos, y Él se fue^a. 10 Pero cuando la nube se retiró de sobre la tienda, he aquí que Miriam estaba leprosa^a, blanca como la nieve^b. Y cuando Aarón se volvió hacia Miriam, vio que estaba leprosa. 11 Entonces Aarón dijo a Moisés: Señor mío, te ruego que no nos cargues este pecado, en el cual hemos obrado neciamente y con el cual hemos pecado^a. 12 No permitas que ella sea como quien nace muerto, que cuando sale del vientre de su madre su carne está ya medio consumida. 13 Y Moisés clamó al SEÑOR, diciendo: Oh Dios, sánala ahora^a, te ruego. 14 Pero el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Si su padre le hubiera escupido a ella en el rostro^a, ¿no llevaría su vergüenza por siete días? Que sea echada fuera del campamento por siete días^b, y después puede ser admitida de nuevo. 15 Miriam^a fue confinada fuera del campamento por siete días y el pueblo no se puso en marcha hasta que Miriam volvió¹.

16 Después el pueblo partió de Hazerot y acampó en el desierto de Parán.

Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married (for he had married a ^aCushite woman); 2 ^aand they said, “Is it a fact that the LORD has spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us as well?” And the LORD heard this. 3 (Now the man Moses was ^avery humble, more than any person who was on the face of the earth.) 4 And the LORD suddenly said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, “You three go out to the tent of meeting.” So the three of them went out. 5 ^aThen the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward, 6 He said,“Now hear My words:If there is a prophet among you,I, the LORD, will make Myself known to him in a ^avision.I will speak with him in a ^bdream.

9 And the anger of the LORD burned against them and ^aHe departed. 10 But when the cloud had withdrawn from above the tent, behold, ^aMiriam was leprous, as ^bwhite as snow. As Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous. 11 Then Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, I beg you, ^ado not ¹hold us responsible for this sin by which we have turned out to be foolish, and by which we have sinned. 12 Oh, do not let her be like a dead person, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb!” 13 So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “God, ^aheal her, please!” 14 But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had only ^aspit in her face, would she not be put to shame for seven days? Have her shut ^boutside the camp for seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” 15 So ^aMiriam was shut outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until Miriam was received again.

16 Afterward, however, the people moved on from Hazeroth and camped in the wilderness of Paran.

Has He not spoken also through us?” And the LORD heard it. 3 (¹Now the man Moses was ^avery humble (gentle, kind, devoid of self-righteousness) , more than any man who was on the face of the earth.) 4 Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) .” And the three of them came out. 5 ^aThe LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the doorway of the tabernacle, and He called Aaron and Miriam, and they came forward. 6 And He said,“Hear now My words:If there is a prophet among you,I the LORD will make Myself known to him in a ^avisionAnd I will speak to him in a ^bdream.

9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Miriam and Aaron, and ^aHe departed. 10 But when the cloud had withdrawn from over the tent, behold, ^aMiriam was leprous, ^bas white as snow. And Aaron turned and looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. 11 Then Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, I plead with you, ^ado not account this sin to us, in which we have acted foolishly and in which we have sinned. 12 Oh, do not let her be like one dead, already half decomposed when he comes from his mother’s womb.” 13 So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “^aHeal her please, O God, I plead with You!” 14 But the LORD said to Moses, “If her father had but ^1aspit in her face, would she not bear her shame for seven days? Let her be shut up ^boutside the camp for seven days, and afterward she may return.” 15 So ^aMiriam was shut up outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until Miriam was brought in again and declared ceremonially clean from her leprosy.

16 Afterward the people moved on from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.
