Y siguió el SEÑOR hablando a Moisés, diciendo: 2 Hazte dos trompetas de plata; las harás labradas a martillo. Y te servirán para convocar a la congregación^a y para dar la orden de poner en marcha los campamentos. 3 Cuando se toquen las dos^a, toda la congregación se reunirá junto a ti a la puerta de la tienda de reunión. 4 Cuando se toque una sola, entonces se reunirán junto a ti los principales^a, los jefes de las divisiones¹ de Israel. 5 Pero cuando toquéis alarma, partirán los que estén acampados¹ al oriente^a. 6 Y cuando toquéis alarma la segunda vez, partirán los acampados¹ al sur^a; se tocará una alarma para que ellos se pongan en marcha. 7 Sin embargo, cuando se convoque la asamblea, tocaréis, pero no con toque de alarma^a. 8 Además, los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, tocarán las trompetas^a; y os será por estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones. 9 Cuando vayáis a la guerra en vuestra tierra contra el adversario que os ataque^a, tocaréis alarma con las trompetas a fin de que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios se acuerde de vosotros^b, y seáis salvados de vuestros enemigos. 10 Asimismo, en el día de vuestra alegría, en vuestras fiestas señaladas¹ y en el primer día de vuestros meses, tocaréis las trompetas^a durante vuestros holocaustos y durante los sacrificios de vuestras ofrendas de paz; y serán para vosotros como recordatorio delante de vuestro Dios. Yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

11 Y sucedió que en el año segundo^a, en el mes segundo, el día veinte del mes, la nube se levantó de sobre el tabernáculo¹ del testimonio; 12 y los hijos de Israel partieron, según su orden de marcha^a, del desierto de Sinaí. Y la nube se detuvo en el desierto de Parán^b. 13 Así partieron la primera vez conforme al mandamiento¹ del SEÑOR por medio² de Moisés^a. 14 La bandera del campamento de los hijos de Judá, según sus ejércitos, partió primero, con Naasón, hijo de Aminadab, al frente de su ejército^a; 15 y Natanael, hijo de Zuar, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Isacar; 16 y Eliab, hijo de Helón, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón.

17 Entonces el tabernáculo fue desarmado; y los hijos de Gersón, y los hijos de Merari, que llevaban el tabernáculo^a, partieron. 18 Después partió la bandera del campamento de Rubén, según sus ejércitos, con Elisur, hijo de Sedeur, al frente de su ejército^a; 19 y Selumiel, hijo de Zurisadai, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, 20 y Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel, estaba al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Gad.

21 Luego se pusieron en marcha los coatitas llevando los objetos sagrados^a; y el tabernáculo fue erigido antes de que ellos llegaran^b. 22 Después partió la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Efraín, según sus ejércitos, con Elisama, hijo de Amiud, al frente de su ejército^a; 23 y Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Manasés; 24 y Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín.

25 Después partió la bandera del campamento de los hijos de Dan, según sus ejércitos, los cuales formaban la retaguardia^a de todos los campamentos, con Ahiezer, hijo de Amisadai, al frente de su ejército^b; 26 y Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Aser; 27 y Ahira, hijo de Enán, al frente del ejército de la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí. 28 Este fue el orden de marcha de los hijos de Israel por sus ejércitos cuando partieron.

29 Entonces Moisés dijo a Hobab^a, hijo de Reuel madianita, suegro de Moisés^b: Nosotros partimos hacia el lugar del cual el SEÑOR dijo: «Yo os lo daré^c». Ven con nosotros y te haremos bien^d, pues el SEÑOR ha prometido¹ el bien a Israel^e. 30 Pero él le dijo: No iré^a, sino que me iré a mi tierra y a mi parentela. 31 Después dijo Moisés: Te ruego que no nos dejes, puesto que tú sabes dónde debemos acampar en el desierto, y serás como ojos para nosotros^a. 32 Y será que si vienes con nosotros, el¹ bien que el SEÑOR nos haga^2a, nosotros te haremos^3b.

33 Así partieron^a desde el monte del SEÑOR tres días de camino, y el arca del pacto del SEÑOR iba delante de ellos por los tres días¹, buscándoles un lugar^b dónde descansar^c. 34 Y la nube del SEÑOR iba sobre ellos de día desde que partieron del campamento^a.

35 Y sucedía que cuando el arca se ponía en marcha, Moisés decía:¡Levántate, oh SEÑOR!y sean dispersados tus enemigos^a,huyan de tu presencia los que te aborrecen^b. 36 Y cuando el arca descansaba, él decía:Vuelve, oh SEÑOR^a,a los millares de millares de Israel^b.

The LORD spoke further to Moses, saying, 2 “Make yourself two trumpets of silver, you shall make them of hammered work; and you shall use them for ^asummoning the congregation and breaking camp. 3 Now ^awhen both are blown, all the congregation shall meet you at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 4 But if only one is blown, then the ^aleaders, the heads of the ¹divisions of Israel, shall meet you. 5 And when you blow an alarm, the camps that are pitched ^aon the east side shall set out. 6 Then when you sound an alarm the second time, the camps that are pitched on ^athe south side shall set out; an alarm is to be sounded for them to break camp. 7 When convening the assembly, however, you shall blow the trumpets without ^asounding an alarm. 8 ^aThe sons of Aaron, moreover, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and this shall be a permanent statute for you throughout your generations. 9 And when you go to war in your land against the enemy who ^aattacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, so that you will be ^bthought of by the LORD your God, and be saved from your enemies. 10 Also on the day of your joy and at your appointed ¹feasts, and on the first days of your months, ^ayou shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”

11 Now in ^athe second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud was lifted from above the ¹tabernacle of the testimony; 12 and the sons of Israel set out on ^atheir journeys from the wilderness of Sinai. Then the cloud settled in the ^bwilderness of Paran. 13 ^aSo they moved on for the first time in accordance with the ¹command of the LORD through Moses. 14 The ¹flag of the camp of the sons of Judah, by their armies, ^aset out first, with Nahshon the son of Amminadab, over its army, 15 and Nethanel the son of Zuar, over the tribal army of the sons of Issachar; 16 and Eliab the son of Helon over the tribal army of the sons of Zebulun.

17 ^aThen the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who were carrying the tabernacle, set out. 18 Next ^athe flag of the camp of Reuben, by their armies, set out with Elizur the son of Shedeur, over its army, 19 and Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai over the tribal army of the sons of Simeon, 20 and Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the tribal army of the sons of Gad.

21 ^aThen the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy objects; and ^bthe tabernacle was set up before their arrival. 22 ^aNext the flag of the camp of the sons of Ephraim, by their armies, set out, with Elishama the son of Ammihud over its army, 23 and Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur over the tribal army of the sons of Manasseh; 24 and Abidan the son of Gideoni over the tribal army of the sons of Benjamin.

25 ^aThen the flag of the camp of the sons of Dan, by their armies, which formed the ^brear guard for all the camps, set out, with Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai over its army, 26 and Pagiel the son of Ochran over the tribal army of the sons of Asher; 27 and Ahira the son of Enan over the tribal army of the sons of Naphtali. 28 ¹This was the order of marching for the sons of Israel by their armies as they set out.

29 Then Moses said to ^aHobab the son of ^bReuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out to the place of which the LORD said, ‘^cI will give it to you.’ ^dCome with us and we will do you good, for the LORD ^ehas ¹promised good concerning Israel.” 30 But he said to him, “^aI will not come, but rather will go to my own land and relatives.” 31 Then he said, “Please do not leave us, since you know ¹where we should camp in the wilderness, and you ^awill be as eyes for us. 32 So it will be, if you go with us, that ^1awhatever good the LORD ²does for us, ^bwe will ³do for you.”

33 ^aSo they moved on from the mountain of the LORD three days’ journey, with ^bthe ark of the covenant of the LORD going on in front of them for the ¹three days, to seek out ^ca resting place for them. 34 ^aAnd the cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.

35 Then it came about when the ark set out that Moses said,“^aRise up, LORD!And may Your enemies be scattered,And those ^bwho hate You flee from Your presence.” 36 And when it came to rest, he said,“^aReturn, LORD,To the myriad ^bthousands of Israel.”

I am the LORD your God.”

You shall use them to ^asummon the congregation and to have the camps move out. 3 ^aWhen both are blown, all the congregation that is, all adult males shall gather before you at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) . 4 However, if a single trumpet is blown, then the ^aleaders, heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. 5 When you blow an alarm, the camps ^aon the east side of the tabernacle shall set out. 6 When you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps on ^athe south side of the tabernacle shall set out. They shall blow an alarm whenever they are to move out on their journeys. 7 When the assembly is to be gathered, you shall blow the trumpets in short, sharp tones, but without ^asounding an alarm. 8 ^aThe sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and the trumpets shall be for you a perpetual statute throughout your generations. 9 When you go to war in your land against the enemy that ^aattacks you, then sound an alarm with the trumpets, so that you may be ^bremembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies. 10 Also in the day of rejoicing, and in your appointed feasts, and at the beginnings of your months, ^ayou shall sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifice of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”

11 On the twentieth day of the second month in ^athe second year since leaving Egypt, the cloud of the Lord’s presence was lifted from over the tabernacle of the Testimony, 12 and the Israelites set out on ^atheir journey from the Wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud of the LORD’S guiding presence settled down in the ^bWilderness of Paran. 13 ^aSo they moved out for the first time in accordance with the command of the LORD through Moses. 14 ^aThe ¹standard of the camp of the sons of Judah, according to their armies, moved out first, Nahshon the son of Amminadab was commander over its army, 15 and Nethanel the son of Zuar was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Issachar; 16 and Eliab the son of Helon was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Zebulun.

17 ^aThen the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who were carrying the tabernacle, moved out. 18 ^aNext the ¹standard of the camp of the sons of Reuben, according to their armies, moved out, with Elizur the son of Shedeur commander over its army, 19 and Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Simeon, 20 and Eliasaph the son of Deuel was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Gad.

25 ^aThen the ¹standard of the camp of the sons of Dan, according to their armies, which formed the ^brear guard for all the camps, moved out, with Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai commander over its army, 26 and Pagiel the son of Ochran was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Asher, 27 and Ahira the son of Enan was commander over the tribal army of the sons of Naphtali. 28 This was the order of march of the sons of Israel by their armies as they moved out.

29 Then Moses said to ^aHobab the son of ^bReuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are going to the place of which the LORD said, ‘^cI will give it to you.’ ^dCome with us, and we will be good to you, for the LORD ^ehas promised good things concerning Israel.” 30 But Hobab Moses’ brother-in-law said to him, “^aI will not go; I will return to my own land and to my family.” 31 Then Moses said, “¹Please do not leave us, for you know how we are to camp in the wilderness, and you ^awill serve as eyes for us as we make our trek through the desert. 32 So if you will go with us, it shall be that ^1awhatever good the LORD does for us, ^bwe will do the same for you.”

33 ^aSo they set out from the mountain of the LORD (Sinai) three days’ journey; and ^bthe ark of the covenant of the LORD went in front of them during the three days’ journey to seek out ^ca resting place for them. 34 ^aThe cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.

35 Whenever the ark set out, Moses said,“^aRise up, O LORD!Let Your enemies be scattered;And let those ^bwho hate You flee before You.” Ps 68:1, 2 36 And when the ark rested, Moses said,“^aReturn, O LORD,To the myriad (many) ^bthousands of Israel.”
