La palabra que vino a Jeremías de parte del SEÑOR, diciendo: 2 Oíd las palabras de este pacto^a, y decidlas a los hombres de Judá y a los habitantes de Jerusalén^b. 3 Les diréis: «Así dice el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel: “Maldito el hombre que no obedezca las palabras de este pacto^a 4 que mandé a vuestros padres el día que los saqué de la tierra de Egipto^a, del horno de hierro^b, diciéndoles: ‘Escuchad mi voz, y haced¹ conforme a todo lo que yo os mando^c; y vosotros seréis mi pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios^d’, 5 para confirmar el juramento que juré a vuestros padres, de darles una tierra que mana leche y miel^a, como lo es hoy”». Entonces respondí y dije: Amén, SEÑOR^b.

6 Y el SEÑOR me dijo: Proclama todas estas palabras^a en las ciudades de Judá y en las calles de Jerusalén^b, diciendo: «Oíd las palabras de este pacto y cumplidlas^c. 7 Porque bien advertí^a a vuestros padres el día que los hice subir de la tierra de Egipto^b, y hasta hoy los he amonestado con insistencia¹, diciéndoles: “Escuchad mi voz^c”. 8 Pero no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído, sino que cada cual anduvo en la terquedad de su malvado corazón^a. Por tanto, hice caer sobre ellos todas las palabras de este pacto, que yo les mandé cumplir y no lo cumplieron^b».

9 Entonces el SEÑOR me dijo: Se ha descubierto una conspiración^a entre los hombres de Judá y entre los habitantes de Jerusalén. 10 Se han vuelto a las iniquidades de sus antepasados¹, los cuales rehusaron escuchar mis palabras^a, y se han ido tras otros dioses para servirlos^b. La casa de Israel y la casa de Judá han violado mi pacto^c, el cual hice con sus padres. 11 Por tanto, así dice el SEÑOR: He aquí, traigo sobre ellos una calamidad^a de la que no podrán escapar^b; aunque clamen a mí, no los escucharé^c. 12 Entonces irán las ciudades de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalén, y clamarán a los dioses a quienes queman incienso^a, pero ellos ciertamente no podrán salvarlos en la hora de su aflicción. 13 Porque según el número de tus ciudades son tus dioses, oh Judá, y según el número de las calles de Jerusalén^a, son los altares que has levantado a lo vergonzoso^b, altares para quemar incienso a Baal^c.

14 Pero tú no ruegues por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración; porque no escucharé^a cuando clamen a mí a causa de su aflicción^b.

17 El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, que te plantó^a, ha decretado una calamidad contra ti a causa de la maldad que la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá^b han hecho¹, provocándome al ofrecer sacrificios² a Baal^c.

18 El SEÑOR me lo hizo saber y lo comprendí^a. Entonces me hiciste ver sus obras. 19 Pero yo era como un cordero manso llevado al matadero^a, y no sabía que tramaban intrigas contra mí^b, diciendo: Destruyamos el árbol con su fruto¹, y cortémoslo^c de la tierra de los vivientes^d, para que no se recuerde más su nombre^e.

21 Por tanto, así dice el SEÑOR en cuanto a los hombres de Anatot^a que buscan tu vida^b, diciendo: No profetices^c en el nombre del SEÑOR, para que no mueras a manos nuestras^d; 22 así, pues, dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: He aquí, voy a castigarlos^a. Los jóvenes morirán a espada, sus hijos e hijas morirán de hambre^b, 23 y no quedará de ellos remanente^a, porque traeré una calamidad sobre los hombres de Anatot, el año de su castigo^b.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 “^aHear the words of this ^bcovenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem; 3 and say to them, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of Israel says: “^aCursed is the one who does not obey the words of this covenant 4 which I commanded your forefathers on the ^aday that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the ^biron furnace, saying, ‘^cListen to My voice, and ¹do according to all that I command you; so you shall be ^dMy people, and I will be your God,’ 5 in order to confirm the ^aoath which I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day.”’” Then I replied, “^bAmen, LORD.”

6 And the LORD said to me, “^aProclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, ‘^bHear the words of this covenant and ^cdo them. 7 For I solemnly ^awarned your fathers on the ^bday I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, ^cwarning them persistently, saying, “^dListen to My voice.” 8 Yet they ^adid not obey or incline their ear, but walked in the stubbornness of their evil heart, each one of them; therefore I brought on them all the ^bwords of this covenant which I commanded them to do, but they did not.’”

9 Then the LORD said to me, “A ^aconspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They have ^aturned back to the wrongdoings of their ¹ancestors who ^brefused to hear My words, and they ^chave followed other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have ^dbroken My covenant which I made with their fathers.” 11 Therefore this is what the LORD says: “Behold, I am ^abringing disaster on them which they will ^bnot be able to escape; though they will ^ccry out to Me, I will not listen to them. 12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will ^ago and cry out to the gods to whom they ¹burn incense, but they certainly will not save them in the time of their disaster. 13 For your gods are ^1aas many as your cities, Judah; and ²as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the ^bshameful thing, altars for ^3cburning incense to Baal.

14 “So as for you, ^ado not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will ^bnot listen when they call to Me because of their disaster.

17 The LORD of armies, who ^aplanted you, has ^bpronounced evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and the house of Judah, which they have ¹done to provoke Me by ^2coffering sacrifices to Baal.

21 Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the people of ^aAnathoth, who are ^bseeking your life, saying: “^cDo not prophesy in the name of the LORD, so that you do not ^ddie by our hand”; 22 therefore, this is what the LORD of armies says: “Behold, I am going to ^apunish them! The ^byoung men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine; 23 and a remnant ^awill not be left to them, because I will ^bbring disaster on the people of Anathoth—^cthe year of their punishment.”

9 Then the LORD said to me, “A ^aconspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They have ^aturned back to the iniquities of their ¹ancestors who ^brefused to hear My words, and they ^chave gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have ^dbroken My covenant which I made with their fathers.” 11 Therefore thus says the LORD, “Behold I am ^abringing disaster on them which they will ^bnot be able to escape; though they will ^ccry to Me, yet I will not listen to them. 12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will ^ago and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they surely will not save them in the time of their disaster. 13 For your gods are ^1aas many as your cities, O Judah; and ²as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the ^bshameful thing, altars to ^cburn incense to Baal.

21 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the men of ^aAnathoth, who ^bseek your life, saying, “^cDo not prophesy in the name of the LORD, so that you will not ^ddie at our hand”; 22 therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, “Behold, I am about to ^apunish them! The ^byoung men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine; 23 and a remnant ^awill not be left to them, for I will ^bbring disaster on the men of Anathoth—^cthe year of their punishment.”

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, 2 “^aHear the words of this solemn ^bcovenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the people of Jerusalem. 3 Say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, “^aCursed is the man who does not heed the words of this covenant 4 which I commanded your fathers at the ^atime that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the ^biron furnace, saying, ‘^cListen to My voice and do according to all that I command you. So you shall be ^dMy people, and I will be your God,’ 5 that I may complete the ^aoath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land of plenty ¹flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day.”’” Then I answered, “^bAmen (so be it) , O LORD.”

6 And the LORD said to me, “^aProclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem: ‘^bHear the words of this solemn covenant and ^cdo them. 7 For I solemnly ^awarned your fathers at the ^btime that I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, ^cwarning them persistently, saying, “^dObey My voice.” 8 Yet they ^adid not obey or incline their ear to listen to Me, but everyone walked in the stubborn way of his own evil heart. Therefore I brought on them all the suffering threatened in the ^bwords of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.’”

9 Then the LORD said to me, “A ^aconspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the people of Jerusalem. 10 They have ^areturned to the wickedness of their ancestors who ^brefused to hear My words; they ^chave followed other gods in order to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have ^dbroken My solemn covenant which I made with their fathers.” 11 Therefore thus says the LORD, “Behold I am ^abringing disaster and suffering on them which they will ^bnot be able to escape; though they ^ccry to Me, I will not listen to them. 12 Then the cities of Judah and the people of Jerusalem will ^ago and cry to the man-made gods to whom they burn incense, but they cannot save them in the time of their disaster. 13 For as many as ^athe number of your cities are your gods, O Judah; and as many as the number of the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the ^bshameful thing, altars to ^cburn incense to Baal.

14 “Therefore ^ado not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, for I shall ^bnot listen when they cry to Me in the time of their disaster.

17 For the LORD of hosts, who ^aplanted you, has ^bpronounced evil and horror against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me to anger by ^coffering sacrifices and burning incense to Baal.

21 Therefore thus says the LORD regarding the men of ^aAnathoth, who ^bseek your life, saying, “^cDo not prophesy in the name of the LORD, so that you will not ^ddie by our hand.” 22 Therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, “Behold, I am about to ^apunish them. Their ^byoung men will die by the sword, their sons and their daughters will die by famine; 23 and there ^awill be no remnant of the conspirators left, for I will ^bbring disaster and horror on the men of Anathoth in ^cthe year of their punishment.”
