Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ponte en pie para que yo te hable^a. 2 Y el Espíritu entró en mí mientras me hablaba y me puso en pie; y oí al que me hablaba^a. 3 Entonces me dijo: Hijo de hombre, yo te envío a los hijos de Israel, a una nación¹ de rebeldes que se ha rebelado contra mí; ellos y sus padres se han levantado contra mí^a hasta este mismo día^b. 4 A los hijos de duro semblante y corazón empedernido, a quienes te envío, les dirás: Así dice el Señor DIOS^1a. 5 Y ellos, escuchen o dejen de escuchar, porque son una casa rebelde^a, sabrán que un profeta ha estado entre ellos^b. 6 Y tú, hijo de hombre, no temas, no temas ni a ellos ni a sus palabras aunque haya contigo cardos y espinas y te sientes en escorpiones^a; no temas sus palabras ni te atemorices ante ellos, porque son una casa rebelde^b. 7 Les hablarás mis palabras, escuchen^a o dejen de escuchar, porque son rebeldes^b.

8 Y tú, hijo de hombre, escucha lo que te hablo; no seas rebelde como esa casa rebelde. Abre tu boca y come lo que te doy^a. 9 Entonces miré, y he aquí, una mano estaba extendida hacia mí^a, y¹ en ella había un libro en rollo^b. 10 Él lo desenrolló delante de mí, y estaba escrito por delante y por detrás; y en él estaban escritas lamentaciones, gemidos y ayes^a.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, ^astand on your feet, and I will speak with you.” 2 And as He spoke to me the ^aSpirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me. 3 Then He said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have ^arebelled against Me; ^bthey and their fathers have revolted against Me to this very day. 4 So I am sending you to those who are ^1aimpudent and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord ²GOD says:’ 5 As for them, ^awhether they listen or ¹not—for they are a rebellious house—they will ^bknow that a prophet has been among them. 6 And as for you, son of man, you are ^anot to fear them nor fear their words, though ^bthistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house. 7 But you shall ^aspeak My words to them ^bwhether they listen or ¹not, for they are rebellious.

8 “Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth wide and ^aeat what I am giving you.” 9 Then I looked, and behold, a ^ahand was extended to me; and behold, a ^1bscroll was in it. 10 When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were songs of mourning, sighing, and ^awoe.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, ^astand on your feet that I may speak with you!” 2 As He spoke to me the ^aSpirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me. 3 Then He said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have ^arebelled against Me; ^bthey and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. 4 I am sending you to them who are ^1astubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord ²GOD.’ 5 As for them, ^awhether they listen or ¹not—for they are a rebellious house—they will ^bknow that a prophet has been among them. 6 And you, son of man, ^aneither fear them nor fear their words, though ^bthistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, for they are a rebellious house. 7 But you shall ^aspeak My words to them ^bwhether they listen or ¹not, for they are rebellious.

8 “Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and ^aeat what I am giving you.” 9 Then I looked, and behold, a ^ahand was extended to me; and lo, a ^1bscroll was in it. 10 When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were lamentations, mourning and ^awoe.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, ^astand on your feet and I will speak to you.” 2 Then as He spoke to me the ^aSpirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me. 3 And He said to me, “I am sending you, son of man, to the children of Israel, to a rebellious people in both the north and the south that have ^arebelled against Me; ^bthey and their fathers have sinned and revolted against Me to this very day. 4 I am sending you to them who are ^astubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord ¹GOD.’ 5 As for them, ^awhether they listen or refuse to listen—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will ^bknow and be fully aware of the fact that there has been a prophet among them. 6 And you, son of man, ^aneither fear them nor fear their words; though ^bbriars and thorns are all around you and you sit among scorpions, neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, for they are a rebellious house. 7 But you shall ^aspeak My words to them ^bwhether they will listen or refuse to listen, for they are most rebellious.

8 “As for you, son of man, listen to what I say to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and ^aeat what I am giving you.” 9 Then I looked, and I saw a ^ahand stretched out toward me; and behold, a ^bscroll of a book was in it. 10 And He spread it before me, and it was written on the front and on the back, and written on it were words of lamentation (funeral songs) and mourning and ^awoe.
