Y vino a mí la palabra del SEÑOR, diciendo: 2 Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan^a, y di a los que profetizan por su propia inspiración¹: «Escuchad la palabra del SEÑOR^b. 3 Así dice el Señor DIOS¹: “¡Ay de los profetas necios^a que siguen su propio espíritu y no han visto nada^b! 4 Como zorras entre ruinas han sido tus profetas, oh Israel. 5 No habéis subido a las brechas^a, ni habéis levantado un muro alrededor de la casa de Israel^b, para que pueda resistir en la batalla en el día del SEÑOR^c. 6 Han visto falsedad¹ y adivinación mentirosa los que dicen: ‘El SEÑOR declara^a’, cuando el SEÑOR no los ha enviado^b; no obstante, esperan el cumplimiento de su palabra. 7 ¿No habéis visto una visión falsa y habéis hablado una adivinación mentirosa cuando decís: ‘El SEÑOR declara’, y yo no he hablado^a?”».

8 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS: Por cuanto habéis hablado falsedad¹ y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí, yo estoy contra vosotros—declara el Señor DIOS^a. 9 Y estará mi mano contra los profetas que ven visiones falsas¹ y hablan adivinaciones mentirosas^a. No estarán en el consejo de mi pueblo, no serán inscritos en el libro de la casa de Israel^b, ni entrarán en la tierra de Israel; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor DIOS. 10 Sí, porque han engañado a mi pueblo^a, diciendo: «¡Paz!», cuando no hay paz^b. Y cuando alguien edifica un muro, he aquí, ellos lo recubren con cal; 11 di, pues, a los que lo recubren con cal, que caerá; vendrá una lluvia torrencial y caeréis vosotras, piedras de granizo^a, y se desencadenará un viento huracanado. 12 He aquí, cuando el muro haya caído, ¿no se os preguntará: «¿Dónde está la cal con que lo recubristeis?». 13 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS: En mi enojo haré que un viento huracanado se desencadene; también por mi ira vendrá una lluvia torrencial y granizo para consumirlo con furor^a. 14 Así derribaré el muro que habéis recubierto con cal, lo echaré a tierra y quedará al descubierto su cimiento^a. Y cuando caiga, seréis destruidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR^b. 15 Desahogaré así mi furor contra el muro y contra los que lo han recubierto con cal, y os diré: «No existe el muro ni existen los que lo recubrieron, 16 ni los profetas de Israel que profetizaban acerca de Jerusalén y que veían para ella visiones de paz cuando no había paz^a»—declara el Señor DIOS^b.

17 Y tú, hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan^a por su propia inspiración¹, profetiza contra ellas^b 18 y di: «Así dice el Señor DIOS: “¡Ay de las que cosen cintas mágicas para todas las coyunturas de la¹ mano y hacen velos para las cabezas de personas de toda talla con el fin de cazar almas^a! ¿Cazaréis las vidas² de mi pueblo y preservaréis vuestras vidas³? 19 Me habéis profanado ante mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, dando muerte a algunos¹ que no debían morir y dejando con vida a otros² que no debían vivir^a, mintiendo³ a mi pueblo que escucha la mentira^b”».

20 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS: He aquí, yo estoy contra vuestras cintas mágicas con las que allí cazáis vidas¹ como aves²; las arrancaré de vuestros brazos y dejaré ir las vidas³, las vidas⁴ que cazáis como aves⁵. 21 También rasgaré vuestros velos y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestras manos, y no serán más presa en vuestras manos^a; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR. 22 Porque habéis entristecido el corazón del justo^a con falsedad, cuando yo no lo he entristecido, y habéis fortalecido las manos del impío para que no se aparte de su mal camino^b a fin de preservar su vida^c, 23 por tanto, no veréis más visiones falsas¹ ni practicaréis más la adivinación^a, y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR^b.

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the ^aprophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own ¹inspiration, ‘^bListen to the word of the LORD! 3 This is what the Lord ¹GOD says: “Woe to the ^afoolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have ^bseen nothing! 4 Israel, your prophets have been like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not ^agone up into the ^bbreaches, nor did you build up a stone wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the ^cday of the LORD. 6 They see ^adeceit and lying divination, those who are saying, ‘The LORD declares,’ when the LORD has not sent them; ^byet they wait for the fulfillment of their word! 7 ^aDid you not see a false vision and tell a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”’”

8 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: “Because you have spoken deceit and have seen a lie, therefore behold, ^aI am against you,” declares the Lord GOD. 9 “So My hand will be against the ^aprophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will ¹have no place in the council of My people, ^bnor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, ²so that you may know that I am the Lord GOD. 10 It is definitely because they have ^amisled My people by saying, ‘^bPeace!’ when there is ^cno peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash; 11 so tell those who plaster it over with whitewash, that it will fall. A ^aflooding rain will come, and you, hailstones, will fall, and a violent wind will break out. 12 Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ‘Where is the plaster with which you plastered it?’” 13 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: “I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath. There will also be in My anger a flooding rain and ^ahailstones to consume it in wrath. 14 So I will tear down the wall which you plastered over with whitewash and hurl it down to the ground, so that its ^afoundation is exposed; and when it falls, you will ^bperish in its midst. And you will ^cknow that I am the LORD. 15 So I will expend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it over with whitewash; and I will say to you, ‘The wall ¹is gone and those who plastered it are gone, 16 along with the prophets of Israel who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who ^asee a vision of peace for her when there is ^bno peace,’ declares the Lord GOD.

17 “Now you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who are ^atalking like prophets ^bfrom their own ¹imagination. Prophesy against them 18 and say, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the women who sew magic bands on ¹all wrists and make veils for the heads of persons of every stature to ^acapture souls! Will you capture the souls of My people, but keep the souls of others alive for yourselves? 19 ^aFor handfuls of barley and pieces of bread, you have profaned Me to My people, to put to death ¹some who should not die, and to ^bkeep ²others alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies.”’”

20 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against your magic bands by which you capture souls there as ¹birds, and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let ²them go, those souls whom you capture as ³birds. 21 I will also tear off your veils and ^asave My people from your hands, and they will no longer be in your hands as prey; and you will know that I am the LORD. 22 Because you ^adisheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him pain, but you have ^1bencouraged the wicked not to ^cturn from his wicked way to keep him alive, 23 therefore you women will no longer see ^adeceitful visions or practice divination, and I will ^bsave My people from your hands. So you will ^cknow that I am the LORD.”

Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the ^aprophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own ¹inspiration, ‘^bListen to the word of the LORD! 3 Thus says the Lord ¹GOD, “Woe to the ^afoolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have ^bseen nothing. 4 O Israel, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins. 5 You have not ^agone up into the ^bbreaches, nor did you build the wall around the house of Israel to stand in the battle on the ^cday of the LORD. 6 They see ^1afalsehood and lying divination who are saying, ‘The LORD declares,’ when the LORD has not sent them; ^byet they hope for the fulfillment of their word. 7 ^aDid you not see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”’”

8 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Because you have spoken ¹falsehood and seen a lie, therefore behold, ^aI am against you,” declares the Lord GOD. 9 “So My hand will be against the ^aprophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will ¹have no place in the council of My people, ^bnor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, ²that you may know that I am the Lord GOD. 10 It is definitely because they have ^amisled My people by saying, ‘^bPeace!’ when there is ^cno peace. 17 “Now you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who are ^aprophesying ^bfrom their own ¹inspiration. Prophesy against them 18 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe to the women who sew magic bands on ¹all wrists and make veils for the heads of persons of every stature to ^ahunt down ²lives! Will you hunt down the ³lives of My people, but preserve the ⁴lives of others for yourselves? 19 ^aFor handfuls of barley and fragments of bread, you have profaned Me to My people to put to death ¹some who should not die and to ^bkeep ²others alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies.”’”

20 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against your magic bands by which you hunt ¹lives there as ²birds and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let ³them go, even those ⁴lives whom you hunt as ⁵birds. 21 I will also tear off your veils and ^adeliver My people from your hands, and they will no longer be in your hands to be hunted; and you will know that I am the LORD. 22 Because you ^adisheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him grief, but have ^1bencouraged the wicked not to ^cturn from his wicked way and preserve his life, 23 therefore, you women will no longer see ^1afalse visions or practice divination, and I will ^bdeliver My people out of your hand. Thus you will ^cknow that I am the LORD.”

And the word of the LORD came to me saying, 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the ^aprophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy from their own inspiration, ‘^bHear the word of the LORD! 3 Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe (judgment is coming) to the ^afoolish prophets who are following their own spirit claiming to have seen things but have in fact ^bseen nothing. 4 O Israel, your prophets have been like ¹foxes among the ruins. 5 You have not ^agone up into the gaps or ^bbreaches, nor built the wall around the house of Israel that it might stand in the battle on the ^cday of the LORD. 6 They have seen ^afalsehood and lying divination, saying, ‘The LORD says,’ but the LORD has not sent them. ^bYet they hope and make men to hope for the confirmation of their word. 7 ^aDid you not see (make up) a false vision and speak a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’ but it is not I who have spoken?”’”

8 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Because you have spoken empty and delusive words and have seen lies, therefore behold, ^aI am against you,” says the Lord GOD. 9 “So My hand will be against the counterfeit ^aprophets who see (make up) empty and delusive visions and who give lying prophecies. They will have no place in the secret council of My people, ^bnor will they be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter into the land of Israel, that you may know without any doubt that I am the Lord GOD. 10 It is definitely because they have ^aseduced My people, saying, ‘^bPeace,’ when there is ^cno peace, and because when one builds a flimsy wall, behold, these lying prophets plaster it over with whitewash; 11 so tell those who plaster it with whitewash, that it will fall! A ^aflooding rain of judgment will come, and you, O great hailstones, will fall; and a violent wind will tear the wall apart. 12 Behold, when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked, ‘Where is the coating with which you prophets plastered it?’” 13 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “I will make a violent wind break out in My wrath, and there will be in My anger an overwhelming rain and great ^ahailstones to destroy that wall in wrath. 14 So I will tear down the wall which you have plastered with whitewash and bring it down to the ground, so that its ^afoundations will be exposed; when it falls, you will ^bperish in its midst. And you shall ^cknow and understand fully that I am the LORD. 15 Thus I will expend My wrath on the wall and on those who have plastered it with whitewash and I will say to you, ‘The wall is gone and its plasterers are gone, 16 along with the false prophets of Israel who prophesy deceitfully to Jerusalem, and who ^asee false visions of peace for her when there is ^bno peace,’ says the Lord GOD.

17 “Now you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people who are ^aprophesying ^bout of the wishful thinking of their own mind (inspiration) . Prophesy against them 18 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe to the women who fasten magic (protective) charms on all wrists and make veils for the heads of those of every stature to ^acapture human lives! Will you capture the lives of My people but keep your own? 19 You have profaned Me among My people in payment ^afor handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die and ^bgiving a guarantee of life to those who should not live, because of your lies to My people who pay attention to lies.”’”

20 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against your magic bands and veils by which you hunt human lives as birds and I will tear them from your arms; and I will let the lives you hunt go free, even those lives whom you hunt as birds. 21 I will also tear off your pagan veils and ^arescue My people from your hands, and they will no longer be in your grip to be hunted and trapped. Then you will know without any doubt that I am the LORD. 22 Because you ^adisheartened the righteous with falsehood when I did not cause him grief, but have ^bencouraged the wicked not to ^cturn from his wicked way and preserve his life, 23 therefore, you women will no longer see ^afalse visions or practice divinations, and I will ^brescue My people from your hand. Then you will ^cknow without any doubt that I am the LORD.”
