Todos los mandamientos que yo os ordeno hoy, tendréis cuidado de ponerlos por obra, a fin de que viváis y os multipliquéis, y entréis y toméis posesión de la tierra que el SEÑOR juró dar a vuestros padres^a. 2 Y te acordarás de todo el camino por donde el SEÑOR tu Dios te ha traído por el desierto durante estos cuarenta años^a, para humillarte, probándote^b, a fin de saber lo que había en tu corazón, si guardarías o no sus mandamientos. 3 Y te humilló, y te dejó tener hambre, y te alimentó con el maná que no conocías, ni tus padres habían conocido, para hacerte entender¹ que el hombre nosolo vive de pan, sino que vive² de todo lo que procede de la boca del SEÑOR^a. 4 Tu ropa no se gastó sobre ti, ni se hinchó tu pie durante estos cuarenta años^a. 5 Por tanto, debes comprender¹ en tu corazón que el SEÑOR tu Dios te estaba disciplinando así como un hombre disciplina a su hijo^a. 6 Guardarás, pues, los mandamientos del SEÑOR tu Dios, para andar en sus caminos y para temerle¹. 7 Porque el SEÑOR tu Dios te trae a una tierra buena, a una tierra de corrientes de aguas, de fuentes y manantiales que fluyen por valles y colinas; 8 una tierra de trigo y cebada, de viñas, higueras y granados; una tierra de aceite de oliva y¹ miel; 9 una tierra donde comerás el pan sin escasez, donde nada te faltará^a; una tierra cuyas piedras son hierro, y de cuyos montes puedes sacar cobre. 10 Cuando hayas comido y te hayas saciado^a, bendecirás al SEÑOR tu Dios por la buena tierra que Él te ha dado.

11 Cuídate de no olvidar al SEÑOR tu Dios^a dejando de guardar sus mandamientos, sus ordenanzas y sus estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy; 12 no sea que cuando hayas comido y te hayas saciado^a, y hayas construido buenas casas y habitado en ellas, 13 y cuando tus vacas y tus ovejas se multipliquen, y tu plata y oro se multipliquen, y todo lo que tengas se multiplique, 14 entonces tu corazón se enorgullezca¹, y te olvides del SEÑOR tu Dios^a que te sacó de la tierra de Egipto de la casa de servidumbre². 15 Él te condujo a través del inmenso y terrible desierto^a, con sus serpientes abrasadoras^b y escorpiones, tierra sedienta donde no había agua; Él sacó para ti agua de la roca de pedernal^c. 16 En el desierto te alimentó con el maná que tus padres no habían conocido^a, para humillarte y probarte^b, y para finalmente¹ hacerte bien. 17 No sea que digas en tu corazón^a: «Mi poder y la fuerza de mi mano me han producido esta riqueza». 18 Mas acuérdate del SEÑOR tu Dios, porque Él es el que te da poder para hacer riquezas^a, a fin de confirmar su pacto, el cual juró a tus padres como en este día. 19 Y sucederá que si alguna vez te olvidas del SEÑOR tu Dios, y vas en pos de otros dioses, y los sirves y los adoras, yo testifico contra vosotros hoy, que ciertamente pereceréis^a. 20 Como las naciones que el SEÑOR destruye delante de vosotros, así pereceréis, porque no oísteis la voz del SEÑOR vuestro Dios^a.

“All the commandments that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, so that you ^amay live and increase, and go in and take possession of the land which the LORD swore to give to your forefathers. 2 ^aAnd you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God has ^bled you in the wilderness these forty years, in order to humble you, ^cputting you to the test, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you ¹understand that ^aman shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the LORD. 4 ^aYour clothing did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. 5 ^aSo you are to know in your heart that the LORD your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. 6 Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to ¹fear Him. 7 For ^athe LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of streams of water, of fountains and springs, flowing out in valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines, fig trees, and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land where you will eat food without shortage, in which you will not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 When ^ayou have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you.

11 “Be careful that you do not ^aforget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commandments, His ordinances, and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, ^awhen you eat and are satisfied, and you build good houses and live in them, 13 and when your herds and your flocks increase, and your silver and gold increase, and everything that you have increases, 14 then your heart will ¹become proud and you will ^aforget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of ²slavery; 15 He who led you through ^athe great and terrible wilderness, with its ^bfiery serpents and scorpions, and its thirsty ground where there was no water; He who ^cbrought water for you out of the rock of flint. 16 In the wilderness it was He who fed you manna ^awhich your fathers did not know, in order to humble you and in order to ^bput you to the test, to do good for you ¹in the end. 17 Otherwise, ^ayou may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18 But you are to remember the LORD your God, for ^ait is He who is giving you power to make wealth, in order to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 And it shall come about, if you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and serve and worship them, ^aI testify against you today that you will certainly perish. 20 Like the nations that the LORD eliminates from you, so ^ayou shall perish, because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

11 “¹Beware that you do not ^aforget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments and His ordinances and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, ^awhen you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, 13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, 14 then your heart will become ¹proud and you will ^aforget the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of ²slavery. 15 He led you through ^athe great and terrible wilderness, with its ^bfiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He ^cbrought water for you out of the rock of flint. 16 In the wilderness He fed you manna ^awhich your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might ^btest you, to do good for you ¹in the end. 17 Otherwise, ^ayou may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18 But you shall remember the LORD your God, for ^ait is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, ^aI testify against you today that you will surely perish. 20 Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so ^ayou shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

“Every commandment that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, so that you ^amay live and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to give to your fathers. 2 And ^ayou shall remember always all the ways which the LORD your God has ^bled you these forty years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and ^ctest you, to know what was in your heart (mind) , whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 He humbled you and allowed you to be hungry and fed you with manna, a substance which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, so that He might make you understand by personal experience that ^aman does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD. 4 ^aYour clothing did not wear out on you, nor did your feet swell these forty years. 5 Therefore, ^aknow in your heart (be fully cognizant) that the LORD your God disciplines and instructs you just as a man disciplines and instructs his son. 6 Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk that is, to live each and every day in His ways and fear and worship Him with awe-filled reverence and profound respect. Prov 8:13 7 For ^athe LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land where you will eat bread without shortage, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 When ^ayou have eaten and are satisfied, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you.

11 “Beware that you do not ^aforget the LORD your God by failing to keep His commandments and His judgments (precepts) and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, ^awhen you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, 13 and when your herds and flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have increases, 14 then your heart will become lifted up by self-conceit and arrogance and you will ^aforget the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 15 He led you through ^athe great and terrible wilderness, with its ^bfiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; it was He who ^cbrought water for you out of the flinty rock. 16 He fed you manna in the wilderness, a substance ^awhich your fathers did not know, so that He might humble you by dependence on Him and that He might ^btest you, to do good things for you at the end. 17 Otherwise, ^ayou may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18 But you shall remember with profound respect the LORD your God, for ^ait is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 And it shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and serve them and worship them, ^aI testify against you today that you will most certainly perish. 20 Like the nations which the LORD causes to perish before you, so ^ashall you perish; because you would not listen to and obey the voice of the LORD your God.
