No se turbe vuestro corazón^a; creed¹ en Dios, creed también en mí. 2 En la casa de mi Padre hay muchas moradas; si no fuera así, os lo hubiera dicho; porque voy a preparar un lugar para vosotros^a. 3 Y si me voy y preparo un lugar para vosotros, vendré otra vez^a y os tomaré conmigo; para que donde yo estoy, allí estéis también vosotros^b. 4 Y conocéis el camino adonde voy¹. 5 Tomás^a le dijo*: Señor, si no sabemos adónde vas, ¿cómo vamos a¹ conocer el camino? 6 Jesús le dijo*: Yo soy el camino^a, y la verdad^b, y la vida^c; nadie viene al Padre sino por mí. 7 Si me hubierais conocido, también hubierais conocido a mi Padre^a; desde ahora le conocéis^b y le habéis visto^c. 8 Felipe^a le dijo*: Señor, muéstranos al Padre, y nos basta. 9 Jesús le dijo*: ¿Tanto tiempo he estado con vosotros, y todavía no me conoces, Felipe? El que me ha visto a mí, ha visto al Padre^a; ¿cómo dices tú: «Muéstranos al Padre»? 10 ¿No crees que yo estoy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí^a? Las palabras que yo os digo, no las hablo por mi propia cuenta, sino que el Padre que mora en mí es el que hace las¹ obras^b. 11 Creedme que yo estoy en el Padre^a, y el Padre en mí; y si no, creed por las obras mismas^b. 12 En verdad, en verdad os digo: el que cree en mí, las obras que yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores queestas^a hará, porque yo voy al Padre^b. 13 Y todo lo que pidáis en mi nombre, lo haré^a, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo^b. 14 Si me pedís algo en mi nombre, yo lo haré^a.

15 Si me amáis, guardaréis mis mandamientos^a. 16 Y yo rogaré al Padre, y Él os dará otro Consolador^1a para que esté con vosotros para siempre; 17 es decir, el Espíritu de verdad^a, a quien el mundo no puede recibir^b, porque ni le ve ni le conoce, pero vosotros sí le conocéis porque mora con vosotros y estará en vosotros. 18 No os dejaré huérfanos; vendré a vosotros^a. 19 Un poco más de tiempo^1a y el mundo no me verá más, pero vosotros me veréis^b; porque yo vivo, vosotros también viviréis^c. 20 En ese día^a conoceréis que yo estoy en mi Padre^b, y vosotros en mí, y yo en vosotros. 21 El que tiene mis mandamientos y los guarda,ese es el que me ama^a; y el que me ama será amado por mi Padre^b; y yo lo amaré y me manifestaré a él^c. 22 Judas^a (no el Iscariote) le dijo*: Señor, ¿y qué ha pasado que te vas a manifestar a nosotros y no al mundo^b? 23 Jesús respondió, y le dijo: Si alguno me ama, guardará mi palabra^a; y mi Padre lo amará^b, y vendremos a él, y haremos con él morada^c. 24 El que no me ama, no guarda mis palabras^a; y la palabra que oís no es mía, sino del Padre que me envió^b.

25 Estas cosas os he dicho estando con vosotros. 26 Pero el Consolador^a, el Espíritu Santo, a quien el Padre enviará en mi nombre^b, Él os enseñará todas las cosas^c, y os recordará todo lo que os he dicho^d.

27 La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy^a; no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón^b, ni tenga miedo. 28 Oísteis que yo os dije: «Me voy, y vendré a vosotros^a». Si me amarais, os regocijaríais porque voy al Padre^b, ya que el Padre es mayor que yo^c. 29 Y os lo he dicho ahora, antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, creáis^a. 30 No hablaré mucho más con vosotros, porque viene el príncipe¹ de este mundo^a, y él no tiene nada en mí; 31 pero para que el mundo sepa que yo amo al Padre, y como el Padre me mandó^a, así hago. “^aDo not let your heart be troubled; ¹believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many ¹rooms; if that were not so, ²I would have told you, because ^aI am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, ^aI am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that ^bwhere I am, there you also will be. 4 And you know the way where I am going.” 5 ^aThomas *said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am ^athe way, and ^bthe truth, and ^cthe life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

7 ^aIf you ¹had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you ^bknow Him, and have ^cseen Him.”

8 ^aPhilip *said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus *said to him, “Have I been with ¹you for so long a time, and yet ²you have not come to know Me, Philip? ^aThe one who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that ^aI am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? ^bThe words that I say to you I do not speak on My own, but the Father, as He remains in Me, does His works. 11 Believe Me that ^aI am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise ^bbelieve because of the works themselves. 12 Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and ^agreater works than these he will do; because ^bI am going to the Father. 13 And ^awhatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that ^bthe Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything ^ain My name, I will do it.

15 “^aIf you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another ^1aHelper, so that He may be with you forever; 17 the Helper is ^athe Spirit of truth, ^bwhom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him; but you know Him because He remains with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; ^aI am coming to you. 19 ^1aAfter a little while, ^bthe world no longer is going to see Me, but you are going to see Me; ^cbecause I live, you also will live. 20 ^aOn that day you will know that ^bI am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I in you. 21 ^aThe one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and ^bthe one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will ^creveal Myself to him.” 22 ^aJudas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what has happened ^bthat You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “^aIf anyone loves Me, he will ^bfollow My word; and ^cMy Father will love him, and We ^dwill come to him and make Our dwelling with him. 24 The one who does not love Me ^adoes not follow My words; and ^bthe word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while remaining with you. 26 But the ^aHelper, the Holy Spirit ^bwhom the Father will send in My name, ^cHe will teach you all things, and ^dremind you of all that I said to you. 27 ^aPeace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. ^1bDo not let your hearts be troubled, nor ²fearful. 28 ^aYou heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away, and ^bI am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced ¹because ^cI am going to the Father, for ^dthe Father is greater than I. 29 And now ^aI have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. 30 I will not speak much more with you, for ^athe ruler of the world is coming, and he has ¹nothing in regard to Me, 31 but so that the world may know that I love the Father, ¹I do exactly as ^athe Father commanded Me. “^aDo not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly) . Believe confidently in God and trust in Him, have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because ^aI am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, ^aI will come back again and I will take you to Myself, so that ^bwhere I am you may be also. 4 And to the place where I am going, you know the way.” 5 ^aThomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “¹I am ^athe only Way to God and ^bthe real Truth and ^cthe real Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

7 ^aIf you had really known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on you ^bknow Him, and have ^cseen Him.”

8 ^aPhilip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father and then we will be satisfied.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time, and you do not know Me yet, Philip, nor recognize clearly who I am? ^aAnyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ 10 Do you not believe that ^aI am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? ^bThe words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works His attesting miracles and acts of power. 11 Believe Me that ^aI am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise ^bbelieve Me because of the very works themselves which you have witnessed. 12 I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me as Savior will also do the things that I do; and he will do even ^agreater things than these in extent and outreach, because ^bI am going to the Father. 13 ^aAnd I will do whatever you ask in My name ¹as My representative, this I will do, so that ^bthe Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. Ex 3:14 14 If you ask Me anything ^ain My name as My representative, I will do it.

15 “^aIf you really love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.

16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another ^1aHelper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) , to be with you forever— 17 ^athe Spirit of Truth, ^bwhom the world cannot receive and take to its heart because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans comfortless, bereaved, and helpless; ^aI will come back to you. 19 ^aAfter a little while ^bthe world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; ^cbecause I live, you will live also. 20 ^aOn that day when that time comes you will know for yourselves that ^bI am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. 21 ^aThe person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who really loves Me; and ^bwhoever really loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and ^creveal Myself to him I will make Myself real to him.” 22 ^aJudas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, what has happened ^bthat You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered, “^aIf anyone really loves Me, he will ^bkeep My word (teaching) ; and ^cMy Father will love him, and We ^dwill come to him and make Our dwelling place with him. 24 One who does not really love Me ^adoes not keep My words. And ^bthe word (teaching) which you hear is not Mine, but is the Father’s who sent Me.

25 “I have told you these things while I am still with you. 26 But the ^1aHelper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) , the Holy Spirit, ^bwhom the Father will send in My name in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf, ^cHe will teach you all things. And He ^dwill help you remember everything that I have told you. Matt 5:7, 13, 24, 25; Luke 24:49; John 14:16; Acts 1:4 27 ^aPeace I leave with you; My perfect peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. ^bDo not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. 28 ^aYou heard Me tell you, ‘I am going away, and ^bI am coming back to you.’ If you really loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because ^cI am going back to the Father, for ^1dthe Father is greater than I. 29 ^aI have told you now before it happens, so that when it does take place, you may believe and have faith in Me. 30 I will not speak with you much longer, for ^athe ruler of the world (Satan) is coming. And he has no claim on Me no power over Me nor anything that he can use against Me; 31 but so that the world may know without any doubt that I love the Father, I do exactly as ^athe Father has commanded Me and act in full agreement with Him.
