^aEstas son las generaciones de Sem, Cam y Jafet, hijos de Noé, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:

2 Los hijos de Jafet^a: Gomer, Magog^b, Madai^c, Javán, Tubal^d, Mesec^e y Tiras. 3 Los hijos de Gomer: Askenaz^a, Rifat¹ y Togarmá^b. 4 Los hijos de Javán: Elisa, Tarsis^a, Quitim y Dodanim¹. 5 Deestos, las costas de las naciones se dividieron¹ en sus tierras, cada uno conforme a su lengua, según sus familias, en sus naciones.

6 Los hijos de Cam: Cus, Mizrayim, Fut y Canaán^a. 7 Los hijos de Cus: Seba^a, Havila, Sabta, Raama^b y Sabteca, y los hijos de Raama: Seba y Dedán^c. 8 Y Cus engendró a Nimrod, que llegó a ser poderoso en la tierra. 9 Él fue un poderoso cazador delante del SEÑOR; por tanto se dice: Como Nimrod, poderoso cazador delante del SEÑOR. 10 Y el comienzo de su reino fue Babel^1a, Erec, Acad y Calne, en la tierra de Sinar^b. 11 De aquella tierra salió hacia Asiria^a y edificó Nínive, Rehobot Ir, Cala, 12 y Resén, entre Nínive y Cala; aquella es la gran ciudad. 13 Y Mizrayim engendró a Ludim^a, a Anamim, a Lehabim, a Naftuhim, 14 a Patrusim, a Casluhim^a (de donde salieron los filisteos) y a Caftorim.

15 Canaán engendró a Sidón^a su primogénito, y a Het^b, 16 y al jebuseo, al amorreo, al gergeseo^a, 17 al heveo, al araceo, al sineo, 18 al arvadeo, al zemareo y al hamateo. Y después las familias de los cananeos fueron esparcidas. 19 El territorio de los cananeos^a se extendía¹ desde Sidón, rumbo a² Gerar, hasta Gaza; y rumbo a³ Sodoma, Gomorra, Adma y Zeboim^b, hasta Lasa. 20 Estos son los hijos de Cam, según sus familias, según sus lenguas, por sus tierras, por sus naciones.

21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Heber, y hermano mayor de Jafet¹. 22 Los hijos de Sem^a: Elam^b, Asur, Arfaxad^c, Lud^d y Aram. 23 Los hijos de Aram: Uz^a, Hul, Geter y Mas¹. 24 Arfaxad engendró a Sala^a, y Sala engendró a Heber. 25 Y a Heber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Peleg¹, porque en sus días fue repartida² la tierra, y el nombre de su hermano, Joctán^a. 26 Joctán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Hazar-mavet, a Jera, 27 a Adoram, a Uzal, a Dicla, 28 a Obal¹, a Abimael, a Seba, 29 a Ofir, a Havila y a Jobab; todos estos fueron hijos de Joctán. 30 Y su territorio se extendía¹ desde Mesa rumbo a² Sefar, la región montañosa del oriente. 31 Estos son los hijos de Sem, según sus familias, según sus lenguas, por sus tierras, conforme a sus naciones.

32 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Noé según sus genealogías, por sus naciones; y de ellos se propagaron¹ las naciones sobre la tierra^a después del diluvio.

Now these are the records of the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood.

2 ^aThe sons of Japheth were ^bGomer, Magog, ^cMadai, ^dJavan, Tubal, ^eMeshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer were ^aAshkenaz, ¹Riphath, and ^bTogarmah. 4 The sons of Javan were Elishah, ^aTarshish, Kittim, and ¹Dodanim. 5 From these the people of the coastlands of the nations ¹were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.

6 ^aThe sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. 7 The sons of Cush were ^aSeba, Havilah, Sabtah, ^bRaamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were ^cSheba and ^dDedan. 8 Now Cush fathered Nimrod; he ¹became a mighty one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.” 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was ^1aBabel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of ^bShinar. 11 From that land he went ^ato Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. 13 Mizraim fathered ^aLudim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 ^aPathrusim, Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

15 Canaan fathered ^aSidon, his firstborn, and ^bHeth, 16 ^athe Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite, 17 the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite, 18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite were spread abroad. 19 ^aThe territory of the Canaanite ¹extended from Sidon ²going toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; and ³going toward ^bSodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, and by their nations.

21 Also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 ^aThe sons of Shem were ^bElam, Asshur, ^cArpachshad, ^dLud, and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram were ^aUz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24 Arpachshad fathered ^aShelah; and Shelah fathered Eber. 25 ^aTwo sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was ¹Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 ¹Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all of these were the sons of Joktan. 30 Now their ¹settlement ²extended from Mesha ³going toward Sephar, the hill country of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, and according to their nations.

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their descendants, by their nations; and ^aout of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.

These are the records of the generations (descendants) of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; and the sons born to them after the flood:

6 ^athe sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim from whom descended the Egyptians, Put, and Canaan; 7 the sons of Cush: ^aSeba, Havilah, Sabtah, ^bRaamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah; ^cSheba and ^dDedan. 8 Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was ^1aBabel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of ^bShinar in Babylonia. 11 From that land Nimrod went ^ato Assyria, and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah, 12 and Nimrod built Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah; all these combined to form the great city Nineveh. Jon 1:2; 3:2 13 Mizraim the ancestor of the Egyptians became the father of ^aLudim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim 14 ^aand Pathrusim and Casluhim—from whom came the Philistines—and Caphtorim.

15 Canaan became the father of ^aSidon, his firstborn, and ^bHeth 16 ^aand the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite 17 and the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite 18 and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanite were spread abroad. 19 ^aThe territory of the Canaanite extended from Sidon as one goes to Gerar, as far as Gaza; and as one goes to ^1bSodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These are the descendants of Ham according to their constituent groups, according to their languages, by their lands, and by their nations.

21 Also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber including the Hebrews, the ¹older brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 ^aThe sons of Shem: ^bElam, Asshur, ^cArpachshad, ^dLud and Aram; 23 the sons of Aram ancestor of the Syrians: ^aUz, Hul, Gether and ¹Mash. 24 Arpachshad became the father of ^aShelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber. 25 ^aTwo sons were born to Eber; the name of one was Peleg (division) , for the inhabitants of the earth were divided in his days; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 and Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 and ¹Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 and Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. 30 Now their territory extended from Mesha as one goes toward Sephar, to the hill country of the east. 31 These are Shem’s descendants according to their constituent groups (families) , according to their languages, by their lands, according to their nations.

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their descendants, by their nations; and ^afrom these people the nations were separated and spread abroad on the earth after the flood. Acts 17:26
