Y vino a mí la palabra del SEÑOR, diciendo: 2 Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los montes de Israel^a, profetiza contra ellos, 3 y di: «Montes de Israel, escuchad la palabra del Señor DIOS¹. Así dice el Señor DIOS² a los montes, a las colinas, a las barrancas y a los valles: “He aquí, yo mismo traeré sobre vosotros la espada y destruiré vuestros lugares altos^a. 4 Vuestros altares serán devastados, vuestros altares de incienso¹ serán destrozados y haré que caigan vuestros muertos delante de vuestros ídolos^a. 5 También pondré los cadáveres de los hijos de Israel delante de sus ídolos, y esparciré vuestros huesos alrededor de vuestros altares^a. 6 Dondequiera que tengáis vuestras moradas, las ciudades quedarán desoladas y los lugares altos devastados, para que queden desolados y devastados¹ vuestros altares^a, rotos y eliminados vuestros ídolos, derribados vuestros altares de incienso² y borradas vuestras obras^b. 7 Los muertos caerán en medio de vosotros, y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR.

8 ”Sin embargo dejaré un remanente^a, porque tendréis entre las naciones a los que escaparon de la espada cuando seáis esparcidos por las tierras^b. 9 Entonces los que de vosotros escapen me recordarán entre las naciones adonde serán llevados cautivos^a, porque he sufrido a causa de¹ sus corazones adúlteros que se apartaron de mí^b, y a causa de sus ojos que se prostituyeron tras sus ídolos; y se aborrecerán a sí mismos² por los males que han cometido, por todas sus abominaciones^c. 10 Y sabrán que yo soy el SEÑOR; no en vano he dicho que les haría este mal”».

11 Así dice el Señor DIOS¹: «Bate tus manos², golpea con tu pie^a, y di: “¡Ay!, a causa de todas las graves abominaciones de la casa de Israel^b, que a espada, de hambre y de pestilencia caerán^c. 12 El que esté lejos morirá de pestilencia, el que esté cerca caerá a espada^a, y el que quede y esté sitiado de hambre morirá. Así desahogaré mi furor sobre ellos^b. 13 Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR, cuando sus muertos estén en medio de sus ídolos alrededor de sus altares, en toda colina elevada^a, en todas las cumbres de los montes, bajo todo árbol verde y bajo toda encina frondosa, lugares donde ofrecían aroma agradable a todos sus ídolos^b. 14 Y por todas sus moradas extenderé mi mano contra ellos, y haré la tierra más desolada y devastada que el desierto hacia Diblat; y sabrán que yo soy el SEÑOR^a”».

Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face toward the ^amountains of Israel, and prophesy against them 3 and say, ‘Mountains of Israel, listen to the word of the Lord ¹GOD! This is what the Lord ²GOD says to the mountains, the hills, the ravines, and the valleys: “Behold, I Myself am going to bring a sword against you, and ^aI will destroy your high places. 4 So your ^aaltars will become deserted and your incense altars will be smashed; and I will make your slain fall in front of your idols. 5 I will also lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel in front of their idols; and I will scatter your ^abones around your altars. 6 ¹Everywhere you live, ^acities will be in ruins and the high places will be deserted, so that your altars will be in ruins and ²deserted, your ^bidols will be broken and brought to an end, your incense altars will be cut down, and your works wiped out. 7 The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.

8 “However, I will leave a ^aremnant, in that you will have those who ^bescaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered among the countries. 9 Then those of you who escape will ^aremember Me among the nations to which they will be taken captive, how I have ^1bbeen hurt by their adulterous hearts which turned away from Me, and by their eyes which committed infidelity with their idols; and they will ^cloathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed, for all their abominations. 10 Then they will know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would inflict this disaster on them.”’

11 “This is what the Lord ¹GOD says: ‘Clap your hands, ^astamp your foot and say, “^bWoe, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by the ^csword, famine, and plague! 12 Anyone who is ^afar away will die by the plague, anyone who is near will fall by the sword, and anyone who remains and is spared from these will die by the famine. So I will ^bexpend My wrath on them. 13 Then you will know that I am the LORD, when their ^adead are among their idols around their altars, on ^bevery high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every leafy tree and under every massive oak with thick branches—the places where they offered a soothing aroma to all their idols. 14 So through all their dwelling places I will ^astretch out My hand against them and make the land more desolate and waste than the wilderness toward Diblah; so they will know that I am the LORD.”’”

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against the ^amountains of Israel and prophesy against them, 3 and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys: “Behold, I Myself am going to bring a sword on you, and ^aI will destroy your high places of idolatrous worship, 4 and your ^aaltars will become deserted and your pillars for sun-worship will be smashed in pieces; and I will throw down your slain in front of your idols that cannot bring them back to life. Lev 26:30 5 I will also lay the dead bodies of the children of Israel in front of their Canaanite idols; and I will scatter your ^abones all around your altars. 6 Everywhere you live, the ^acities will become waste and the high places will become deserted, so that your altars may bear their guilt and become deserted, your ^bidols may be broken and destroyed, your incense altars for sun-worship may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out. 7 The slain will fall among you, then you shall know without any doubt that I am the LORD.

8 “Yet I will leave ^asome of you alive a remnant, for you will have some who ^bescaped the sword among the nations when you are scattered throughout the countries. 9 Then those of you who escape will ^aremember Me among the nations to which they will be exiled, how I have ^bbeen broken by their lewdness and their adulterous hearts which have turned away from Me, and by their eyes which lust after their idols; and they will ^cloathe themselves for the evils which they have committed, for all their repulsive acts. 10 Then they will know without any doubt that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would bring this disaster as punishment on them.”’

11 “Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Strike with your fist, ^astamp with your foot and say, “^bAlas, because of all the evil atrocities of the house of Israel, which will fall by ^csword, by famine, and by virulent disease! 12 He who is ^afar away will die of the virulent disease, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus I will ^bspend My wrath on them. 13 Then you will know without any doubt that I am the LORD, when their ^aslain are among their idols around their altars, on ^bevery high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, under every leafy tree and under every oak with thick branches, the places where they offered sweet incense and a soothing aroma to all their idols. 14 And I will ^astretch out My hand against them and make the land a more desolate waste than the wilderness toward Diblah the Moabite city, throughout all the places where they live; and they will know without any doubt that I am the LORD.”’”
