Finalmente^a, hermanos, orad por nosotros^b, para que la palabra del Señor^c se extienda rápidamente¹ y sea glorificada, así como sucedió también con vosotros; 2 y para que seamos librados^a de hombres perversos¹ y malos, porque no todos tienen fe². 3 Pero fiel es el Señor^a quien os fortalecerá y protegerá del maligno^1b. 4 Y tenemos confianza en el Señor^a respecto de vosotros, de que hacéis^b y haréis lo que ordenamos. 5 Que el Señor dirija vuestros corazones^a hacia el amor de Dios y hacia la perseverancia de Cristo.

6 Ahora bien, hermanos, os mandamos en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo^a, que os apartéis^1b de todo hermano que ande desordenadamente^c, y no según la doctrina^2d que recibisteis³ de nosotros. 7 Pues vosotros mismos sabéis cómo debéis seguir nuestro ejemplo^1a, porque no obramos de manera indisciplinada entre vosotros, 8 ni comimos de balde el pan de nadie^a, sino que con trabajo y fatiga^b trabajamos día y noche^c a fin de no ser carga a ninguno de vosotros; 9 no porque no tengamos derecho a ello^a, sino para ofrecernos como modelo a vosotros^b a fin de que sigáis nuestro ejemplo¹. 10 Porque aun cuando estábamos con vosotros^a os ordenábamos esto: Si alguno no quiere trabajar, que tampoco coma^b. 11 Porque oímos que algunos entre vosotros andan desordenadamente^a, sin trabajar, pero andan metiéndose en todo^b. 12 A tales personas les ordenamos y exhortamos en el Señor Jesucristo^a, que trabajando tranquilamente, coman su propio pan^b. 13 Pero vosotros, hermanos^a, no os canséis de hacer el bien^b. 14 Y si alguno no obedece nuestra enseñanza¹ en² esta carta^a, señalad al tal y no os asociéis con él^b, para que se avergüence^c. 15 Sin embargo, no lo tengáis por enemigo^a, sino amonestadle^b como a un hermano^c.

16 Y que el mismo Señor de paz^a siempre os conceda paz^b en todas las circunstancias¹. El Señor sea con todos vosotros^c.

17 Yo, Pablo, escribo este saludo con mi propia mano^1a, yesta es una señal distintiva en todas mis cartas; así escribo yo. 18 La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros^a.

^aFinally, brothers and sisters, ^bpray for us that ^cthe word of the Lord will ¹spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it was also with you; 2 and that we will be ^arescued from troublesome and evil people; for not all have the faith. 3 But ^athe Lord is faithful, ¹and He will strengthen and protect you ²from ^bthe evil one. 4 We have ^aconfidence in the Lord concerning you, that you ^bare doing, and will do, what we command. 5 May the Lord ^adirect your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ.

6 Now we command you, brothers and sisters, ^ain the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you ^1bkeep away from every brother or sister who ²leads a ^3cdisorderly life and not one in accordance with ^dthe tradition which ⁴you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to ^1afollow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined way among you, 8 nor did we ^aeat ¹anyone’s bread ²without paying for it, but with ^blabor and hardship we kept ^cworking night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; 9 not because we do not have ^athe right to this, but in order to offer ourselves ^bas a role model for you, so that you would ¹follow our example. 10 For even ^awhen we were with you, we used to give you this order: ^bif anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. 11 For we hear that some among you are ^aleading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like ^bbusybodies. 12 Now we command and ^aexhort such persons in the Lord Jesus Christ to ^bwork ¹peacefully and eat their own bread. 13 But as for you, ^abrothers and sisters, ^bdo not grow weary of doing good.

14 If anyone does not obey our ¹instruction ^2ain this letter, take special note of that person so as ^bnot to associate with him, so that he will be ^cput to shame. 15 And yet ^ado not regard that person as an enemy, but ^1badmonish that one as a ^cbrother or sister.

16 Now ^amay the Lord of peace ^bHimself continually grant you peace in every ¹circumstance. ^cThe Lord be with you all!

17 ¹I, Paul, write this greeting ^awith my own hand, and this is a distinguishing mark in every letter; this is the way I write. 18 ^aThe grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

^aFinally, brothers and sisters, ^bpray continually for us that ^cthe word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored triumphantly celebrated and glorified, just as it was with you; 2 and pray that we will be ^arescued from perverse and evil men; for not everyone has the faith. 3 But ^athe Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you setting you on a firm foundation and will protect and guard you from ^bthe evil one. 4 We have ^aconfidence in the Lord concerning you, that you ^bare doing and will continue to do the things which we command. 5 May the Lord ^adirect your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ.

6 Now we command you, believers, ^ain the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by His authority, that you ^bwithdraw and keep away from every brother or sister who leads an ^cundisciplined life and does not live in accordance with ^dthe tradition and teaching that ¹you have received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to ^afollow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined or inappropriate manner when we were with you we were never idle or lazy, nor did we avoid our duties, 8 nor did we ^aeat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with ^blabor and hardship we ^cworked night and day to pay our own way so that we would not be a financial burden on any of you for our support; 9 not because we do not have ^aa right to such support, but we provided our own financial support to offer ourselves ^bas a model for you, so that you would follow our example. 10 For even ^awhile we were with you, we used to give you this order: ^bif anyone is not willing to work, then he is ¹not to eat, either. 11 Indeed, we hear that some among you are leading an ^aundisciplined and inappropriate life, doing no work at all, but acting like ^bbusybodies meddling in other people’s business. 12 Now such people we command and ^aexhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and ^bwork quietly and earn their own food and other necessities supporting themselves instead of depending on the hospitality of others. 13 And as for the rest of you, ^1abelievers, ^bdo not grow tired or lose heart in doing good but continue doing what is right without weakening.

14 Now if anyone in the church does not obey what we say ^ain this letter, take special note of that person ^band do not associate with him, so that he will be ^cashamed and repent. 15 ^aDo not regard him as an enemy, but keep ^badmonishing him as a believing ^cbrother.

16 Now ^amay the Lord of peace ^bHimself grant you His peace at all times and in every way that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances. ^cThe Lord be with you all. John 14:27
