Castigo de los rebeldes

Me dejé buscar por los que no preguntaban por mí;me dejé hallar por los que no me buscaban^a.Dije: «Heme aquí, heme aquí»,a una nación que no invocaba mi nombre^b.2 Extendí mis manos todo el día hacia un pueblo rebelde^a,que anda por el camino que no es bueno, en pos de sus pensamientos^b;3 un pueblo que de continuo me provoca en mi propio rostro^a,sacrificando en huertos^b y quemando incienso sobre ladrillos^c;4 que se sientan entre sepulcros y pasan la noche en lugares secretos;que comen carne de cerdo^a,y en sus ollas hay caldo de carnes inmundas;5 que dicen: «Quédate donde estás, no te acerques a mí^a,porque soy más santo que tú».Estos son humo en mi nariz,fuego que arde todo el día.6 He aquí, escrito está delante de mí:no guardaré silencio^a, sino que les daré su pago^b,y les recompensaré en su seno,7 por vuestras iniquidades y por las iniquidades de vuestros padres^a juntamente—dice el SEÑOR.Porque quemaron incienso en los montes^b,y en las colinas me injuriaron^c;por tanto mediré en su seno su obra pasada^d.

8 Así dice el SEÑOR:Como cuando se encuentra mosto en el racimoy alguien dice: «No lo destruyas,porque en él hay bendición»,así haré yo por mis siervospara no destruirlos a todos¹^a.9 Sacaré de Jacob descendencia¹^ay de Judá heredero de mis montes;mis escogidos la heredarán^b,y mis siervos morarán allí^c.10 Sarón^a será pastizal para ovejas,y el valle de Acor^b para lugar de descanso de vacas,para mi pueblo que me busca^c.11 Pero vosotros que abandonáis al SEÑOR^a,que olvidáis mi santo monte^b,que ponéis mesa para la Fortuna¹,y que preparáis² vino mezclado para el Destino³,12 yo os destinaré a la espada^a,y todos vosotros os encorvaréis para la matanza^b.Porque llamé, mas no respondisteis,hablé, mas no oísteis^c;hicisteis lo malo ante mis ojosy escogisteis aquello que no me complacía.

13 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS¹:He aquí, mis siervos comerán^a, mas vosotros tendréis hambre^b;he aquí, mis siervos beberán, mas vosotros tendréis sed^c;he aquí, mis siervos se alegrarán^d, mas vosotros seréis avergonzados^e;14 he aquí, mis siervos darán gritos de júbilo con corazón alegre^a,mas vosotros clamaréis con corazón triste¹,y con espíritu quebrantado gemiréis^b.15 Y dejaréis vuestro nombre como maldición a mis escogidos^a;el Señor DIOS¹ te matará,pero mis siervos serán llamados² por otro nombre^b.16 Porque el que es bendecido¹ en la tierra,será bendecido² por el Dios de la verdad^a;y el que jura en la tierra,jurará^b por el Dios de la verdad;porque han sido olvidadas las angustias primeras,y porque están ocultas a mis ojos.

17 Pues he aquí, yo creo cielos nuevos y una tierra nueva^a,y no serán recordadas las cosas primeras ni vendrán a la memoria¹^b.18 Pero gozaos y regocijaos para siempre en lo que yo voy a crear;porque he aquí, voy a crear a Jerusalén para regocijo,y a su pueblo para júbilo^a.19 Me regocijaré por Jerusalén y me gozaré por mi pueblo^a;no se oirá más en ellavoz de lloro ni voz de clamor^b.20 No habrá más allí niño que viva pocos días,ni anciano que no complete sus días^a;porque el joven morirá a los cien años,y el que no alcance¹ los cien añosserá considerado maldito^b.21 Construirán casas y las habitarán^a,plantarán también viñas y comerán su fruto^b.22 No edificarán para que otro habite,ni plantarán para que otro coma^a;porque como los días de un árbol, así serán los días de mi pueblo^b,y mis escogidos disfrutarán de¹ la obra de sus manos.23 No trabajarán en vano^a,ni darán a luz para desgracia¹,porque son la simiente de los benditos del SEÑOR,ellos, y sus vástagos con ellos^b.

24 Y sucederá que antes que ellos clamen, yo responderé; aún estarán hablando, y yo habré oído^a. 25 El lobo y el cordero pacerán juntos^a, y el león, como el buey, comerá paja^b, y para la serpiente el polvo será su alimento^c. No harán mal ni dañarán en todo mi santo monte^d—dice el SEÑOR.

A Rebellious People

“I permitted Myself to be sought by ^athose who did not ask for Me;I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’To a nation which ^bdid not call on My name.2 “^aI have spread out My hands all day long to a ^brebellious people,Who walk in the way which is not good, ¹following their own ^cthoughts,3 A people who continually ^aprovoke Me to My face,Offering sacrifices in ^bgardens and ^cburning incense on bricks;4 Who sit among graves and spend the night in secret places;Who ^aeat pig’s flesh,And the broth of unclean meat is in their pots.5 “Who say, ‘^aKeep to yourself, do not come near me,For I am holier than you!’These are smoke in My ¹nostrils,A fire that burns all the day.6 “Behold, it is written before Me:I will ^anot keep silent, but ^bI will repay;I will even repay ¹into their laps,7 Both your own ^awrongdoings and the wrongdoings of your fathers together,” says the LORD.“Because they have ^bburned incense on the mountainsAnd ^cscorned Me on the hills,Therefore I will ^dmeasure their former work ¹into their laps.”

8 This is what the LORD says:“Just as the new wine is found in the cluster,And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is ¹benefit in it,’So I will act in behalf of My servantsIn order ^anot to destroy ²all of them.

9 “I will bring forth ¹^aoffspring from Jacob,And an ^bheir of My mountains from Judah;^cMy chosen ones shall inherit it,And ^dMy servants will live there.10 “^aSharon will be a pasture land for flocks,And the ^bValley of Achor a resting place for herds,For My people who ^cseek Me.11 “But as for you who ^aabandon the LORD,Who forget My ^bholy mountain,Who set a table for ¹Fortune,And fill a jug of mixed wine for ²Destiny,12 I will destine you for the ^asword,And all of you will bow down to the ^bslaughter.Because I called, but you ^cdid not answer;I spoke, but you did not listen.Instead, you did evil in My sightAnd chose that in which I did not delight.”

13 Therefore, this is what the Lord ¹GOD says:“Behold, My servants will ^aeat, but you will be ^bhungry.Behold, My servants will ^cdrink, but you will be ^dthirsty.Behold, My servants will ^erejoice, but you will be ^fput to shame.14 “Behold, My servants will ^ashout joyfully with a glad heart,But you will ^bcry out from a painful heart,And you will wail from a broken spirit.15 “You will leave your name as a ^acurse to My chosen ones,And the Lord ¹GOD will put you to death.But ²My servants will be called by ^banother name.16 “Because the one who ¹is blessed on the earthWill ²be blessed by the ^aGod of truth;And the one who swears an oath on the earthWill ^bswear by the God of truth;Because the former troubles are forgotten,And because they are hidden from My sight!

New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “For behold, I create ^anew heavens and a new earth;And the ^bformer things will not be remembered or come to ¹mind.18 “But be ^aglad and rejoice forever in what I create;For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicingAnd her people for gladness.19 “I will also ^arejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;And there will no longer be heard in herThe voice of ^bweeping and the sound of crying.20 “No longer will there be ¹in it an infant who lives only a few days,Or an old person who does ^anot ²live out his days;For the youth will die at the age of a hundred,And the ³^bone who does not reach the age of a hundredWill be thought accursed.21 “They will ^abuild houses and inhabit them;They will also ^bplant vineyards and eat their fruit.22 “They will not build and ^aanother inhabit,They will not plant and another eat;For ^bas the ¹lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,And My chosen ones will ^cfully enjoy the work of their hands.23 “They will ^anot labor in vain,Or give birth to children for disaster;For they are the ¹^bdescendants of those blessed by the LORD,And their descendants with them.

24 It will also come to pass that before they call, I will ^aanswer; while they are still speaking, I will listen. 25 The ^awolf and the lamb will graze together, and the ^blion will eat straw like the ox; and ^cdust will be the serpent’s food. They will ^ddo no evil or harm on all My ^eholy mountain,” says the LORD.

A Rebellious People

“I let Myself be sought by ^athose who did not ask for Me;I let Myself be found by those who did not seek Me.I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’To the nation Israel which ^bdid not call on My Name. Ex 3:14; Is 58:92 “^aI have spread out My hands all the day long to a ^brebellious and stubborn people,Who walk in the way that is not good, following after their own ^cthoughts and intentions,3 The people who continually ^aprovoke Me to My face,Sacrificing to idols in ^bgardens and ^cmaking offerings with incense on bricks instead of at the designated altar;4 Who sit among the graves trying to conjure up evil spirits and spend the night in the secret places where spirits are thought to dwell;Who ^aeat swine’s flesh,And their pots hold the broth of ¹unclean meat;5 Who say, ‘^aKeep to yourself, do not come near me,For I ¹am too holy for you and you might defile me!’These people are smoke in My nostrils,A fire that burns all the day.6 “Indeed, it is written before Me,I will ^anot keep silent, but I ^bwill repay;I will even repay it directly into their ¹arms,7 Both your own ^awickedness and the wickedness of your fathers,” says the LORD.“Since they too have ^bmade offerings with incense on the mountainsAnd ^cscorned and taunted Me on the hills,I therefore will ^dmeasure punishment for their former work directly into their ¹arms.”

8 This is what the LORD says,“As the new wine is found in the cluster,And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing and benefit in it,’So I will do for the sake of My servantsIn order ^anot to destroy all of them.

9 “I will bring forth ^adescendants from Jacob,And an ^bheir of My mountains from Judah;^cEven My chosen ones shall inherit it,And ^dMy servants will live there.10 “And the plain of ^aSharon will be a place for flocks to graze,And the ^bValley of Achor a resting place for herds,For My people who ^cseek Me who long for Me and require My presence in their lives.11 “But you who ^aabandon (turn away from) the LORD,Who forget and ignore My ^bholy mountain (Zion) ,Who set a table for Gad the Babylonian god of fortune,And who fill a jug of mixed wine for Meni the god of fate,12 I will destine you for the ^asword, says the LORD,And all of you will bow down to the ^bslaughter,Because when I called, you ^cdid not answer;When I spoke, you did not listen or obey.But you did what was evil in My sightAnd chose that in which I did not delight.”

13 Therefore, the Lord GOD says this,“Listen carefully, My servants will ^aeat, but you will be ^bhungry;Indeed, My servants will ^cdrink, but you will be ^dthirsty;Indeed, My servants will ^erejoice, but you will be ^fput to shame.

14 “Indeed, My servants will ^ashout for joy from a happy heart,But you will ^bcry out with a heavy heart,And you shall wail and howl from a broken spirit.15 “And you will leave your name behind to My chosen ones who will use it as a ^acurse,And the Lord GOD will put you to death,But He will call His servants by ^banother name a much greater name, just as the name Israel was greater than the name Jacob. Gen 32:28; Jer 29:2216 “Because he who blesses himself on the earthWill bless himself by the ^aGod of truth and faithfulness;And he who swears an oath on the earthWill ^bswear by the God of truth and faithfulness;Because the former troubles are forgotten,And because they are hidden from My sight. 2+@Cor 1:20; Rev 3:14

New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “Behold, I am creating ^anew heavens and a new earth;And the ^bformer things of life will not be remembered or come to mind. Is 66:22; 2+@Pet 3:13; Rev 21:118 “But be ^aglad and rejoice forever over what I create;Behold, I am creating Jerusalem to be a source of rejoicingAnd her people a joy.19 “I will also ^arejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;And there will no longer be heard in herThe voice of ^bweeping and the sound of crying.20 “No longer shall there be ¹in it an infant who lives only a few days,Or an old man who ^adoes not finish his days;For the youth who dies at the age of a hundred,And the ^bone who does not reach the age of a hundredWill be thought of as accursed.21 “They will ^abuild houses and live in them;They will ^bplant vineyards and eat the fruit.22 “They will not build and ^aanother occupy;They will not plant and another eat the fruit.For ^bas the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,And My chosen people will ^cfully enjoy and long make use of the work of their hands.23 “They will ^anot labor in vain,Or bear children for disaster;For they are the ^bdescendants of those blessed by the LORD,And their offspring with them.

24 It shall also come to pass that before they call, I will ^aanswer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. Is 30:19; 58:9; Matt 6:8 25 The ^awolf and the lamb will graze together, and the ^blion will eat straw like the ox there will no longer be predator and prey; and ^cdust will be the serpent’s food. They will ^ddo no evil or harm in all My ^eholy mountain (Zion) ,” says the LORD.
