A las iglesias de Galacia^b: 3 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo^1a, 4 que se dio a sí mismo por nuestros pecados^a para librarnos¹ de este presente siglo^2b malo, conforme a la voluntad de nuestro Dios y Padre^c, 5 a quien sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos^a. 6 Me maravillo de que tan pronto hayáis abandonado¹ al que os llamó^a por² la gracia de Cristo, para seguir un evangelio diferente^b; 7 que en realidad no es otro evangelio,solo que hay algunos que os perturban^a y quieren pervertir el evangelio de Cristo. 8 Pero si aun nosotros, o un ángel del cielo^a, os anunciara otro evangelio contrario al¹ que os hemos anunciado, sea anatema^2b. 9 Como hemos dicho antes^a, también repito ahora: Si alguno os anuncia un evangelio contrario al¹ que recibisteis^b, sea anatema^2c. 10 Porque ¿busco ahora el favor de los hombres o el de Dios? ¿O me esfuerzo por agradar a los hombres^a? Si yo todavía estuviera tratando de agradar a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo^b.

11 Pues quiero que sepáis, hermanos, que el evangelio que fue anunciado por mí^a no es según el hombre^b. 12 Pues ni lo recibí de hombre, ni me fue enseñado, sino que lo recibí por medio de una revelación^a de Jesucristo^b. 13 Porque vosotros habéis oído acerca de mi antigua manera de vivir en el judaísmo^a, de cuán desmedidamente perseguía yo a la iglesia^b de Dios^c y trataba de destruirla^d, 14 y cómo yo aventajaba en el judaísmo a muchos de mis compatriotas¹ contemporáneos², mostrando mucho más celo^a por las tradiciones de mis antepasados^b. 15 Pero cuando Dios, que me apartó desde el vientre de mi madre y me llamó por su gracia^a, tuvo a bien^b 16 revelar a su Hijo en mí para que yo le anunciara entre los gentiles^a, no consulté enseguida^b con carne y sangre^1c, 17 ni subí a Jerusalén a los que eran apóstoles antes que yo, sino que fui a Arabia, y regresé otra vez a Damasco^a.

18 Entonces, tres años después^a, subí a Jerusalén^b para conocer a Pedro^1c, y estuve con él quince días. 19 Pero no vi a ningún otro de los apóstoles, sino a Jacobo¹, el hermano del Señor^a. 20 (En lo que os escribo, os aseguro¹ delante de Dios que no miento^a.) 21 Después fui a las regiones^a de Siria^b y Cilicia^c. 22 Pero todavía no era conocido en persona¹ en las iglesias de Judea^a que eran en Cristo^b; 23 sino quesolo oían decir: El que en otro tiempo nos perseguía, ahora predica¹ la fe^a que en un tiempo quería destruir^b. 24 Y glorificaban a Dios^a por causa de¹ mí.

6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting ^aHim who called you ¹by the grace of Christ, for a ^bdifferent gospel, 7 which is not just another account; but there are some who are ^adisturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or ^aan angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be ^1baccursed! 9 As we ^ahave said before, even now I say again: ^bif anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be ^1caccursed!

10 For am I now ^aseeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a ^bbond-servant of Christ.

11 For ^aI would have you know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel which was preached by me is ^bnot ¹of human invention. 12 For ^aI neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a ^brevelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For you have heard of ^amy former way of life in Judaism, how I ^bused to persecute ^cthe church of God beyond measure and ^dtried to destroy it; 14 and I ^awas advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my ¹countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ^bancestral traditions. 15 But when ¹He who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and ^acalled me through His grace was pleased 16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might ^apreach Him among the Gentiles, ^bI did not immediately consult with ^1cflesh and blood, 17 ^anor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to ^bDamascus.

18 Then ^athree years later I went up ^bto Jerusalem to ¹become acquainted with ^2cCephas, and stayed with him for fifteen days. 19 But I did not see another one of the apostles except ^1aJames, the Lord’s brother. 20 (Now in what I am writing to you, ¹I assure you ^abefore God that I am not lying.) 21 Then ^aI went into the regions of ^bSyria and ^cCilicia. 22 I was still unknown by ¹sight to ^athe churches of Judea which are ^bin Christ; 23 but they only kept hearing, “The man who once persecuted us is now preaching ^athe faith which he once ^btried to destroy.” 24 And they ^awere glorifying God ¹because of me.

3 ^aGrace to you and peace inner calm and spiritual well-being from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who ^agave Himself as a sacrifice to atone for our sins to save and sanctify us so that He might rescue us from ^bthis present evil ¹age, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of ^cour God and Father— 5 ^ato Him be ascribed all the glory through the ages of the ages. Amen.

6 I am astonished and extremely irritated that you are so quickly shifting your allegiance and deserting ^aHim who called you by the grace of Christ, for a ^bdifferent even contrary gospel; 7 which is really not another gospel; but there are obviously ¹some people masquerading as teachers who are ^adisturbing and confusing you with a misleading, counterfeit teaching and want to distort the gospel of Christ twisting it into something which it absolutely is not. 8 But even if we, or ^aan angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we originally preached to you, let him be ^bcondemned to destruction! 9 As we ^ahave said before, so I now say again, ^bif anyone is preaching to you a gospel different from that which you received from us, let him be ^ccondemned to destruction!

10 Am I now ^1atrying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a ^bbond-servant of Christ.

11 For ^aI want you to know, ¹believers, that the gospel which was preached by me is ^bnot man’s gospel it is not a human invention, patterned after any human concept. 12 For indeed ^aI did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a direct ^brevelation of Jesus Christ.

13 You have heard of ^amy career and former manner of life in Judaism, how I ^bused to hunt down and persecute ^cthe church of God extensively and with fanatical zeal ^dtried my best to destroy it. 14 And you have heard how I ^asurpassed many of my contemporaries among my countrymen in my advanced study of the laws of Judaism, as I was extremely loyal to the ^btraditions of my ancestors. 15 But when God, who had chosen me and set me apart before I was born, and ^acalled me through His grace, was pleased Is 49:1; Jer 1:5 16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might ^apreach Him among the Gentiles as the good news—the way of salvation, ^bI did not immediately consult with ^1canyone for guidance regarding God’s call and His revelation to me. 17 ^aNor did I even go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and stayed awhile, and afterward returned once more to ^bDamascus.

18 Then ^athree years later I did go up ^bto Jerusalem to get acquainted with ^cCephas (Peter) , and I stayed with him fifteen days. 19 But I did not see any other apostle except ^aJames, the half- brother of the Lord. 20 (Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you as if I were standing ^abefore God that I am not lying.) 21 Then ^aI went into the regions of ^bSyria and ^cCilicia. 22 And I was still unknown by sight to ^athe churches which were ^bin Christ in Judea (Jerusalem and the surrounding region) ; 23 they only kept hearing, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching ^athe good news of the faith which he once ^bwas trying to destroy.” 24 And they ^awere glorifying God as the Author and Source of what had taken place and all that had been accomplished in me.
