A Filemón nuestro amado hermano y colaborador^e, 2 y a la hermana Apia^a, y a Arquipo^b, nuestro compañero de milicia^c, y a la iglesia que está en tu casa^d: 3 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo^a.

4 Doy gracias a mi Dios siempre, haciendo mención de ti en mis oraciones^a, 5 porque^a oigo de tu amor y de la fe que tienes hacia el Señor Jesús y hacia todos los santos; 6 y ruego que la comunión¹ de tu fe llegue a ser eficaz por² el conocimiento^a de todo lo bueno que hay en vosotros³ mediante⁴ Cristo. 7 Pues he llegado a tener mucho gozo^a y consuelo en tu amor, porque los corazones¹ de los santos han sido confortados^2b por ti, hermano.

8 Por lo cual, aunque tengo mucha libertad¹ en Cristo para mandarte^a hacer lo que conviene^b, 9 no obstante, por causa del amor que te tengo, te ruego^a, siendo como soy, Pablo, anciano^1b, y ahora también prisionero^c de Cristo Jesús^d, 10 te ruego^a por mi hijo^b Onésimo^1c, a quien he engendrado en mis prisiones², 11 el cual en otro tiempo te era inútil, pero ahora nos es útil a ti y a mí. 12 Y te lo he vuelto a enviar en persona, es decir, como si fuera mi propio corazón¹, 13 a quien hubiera querido retener conmigo, para que me sirviera en lugar tuyo en mis prisiones^1a por el evangelio²; 14 pero no quise hacer nada sin tu consentimiento, para que tu bondad no fuera como por obligación, sino por tu propia voluntad^a. 15 Porque quizá por esto se apartó^1a de ti por algún tiempo, para que lo volvieras a recibir para siempre, 16 no ya como esclavo^a, sino como más que un esclavo, como un hermano amado^b, especialmente para mí, pero cuánto más para ti, tanto en la carne como en el Señor^c. 17 Si me tienes pues por compañero^a, acéptalo como me aceptarías a mí. 18 Y si te ha perjudicado en alguna forma, o te debe algo, cárgalo a mi cuenta. 19 Yo, Pablo, escribo esto con mi propia mano^a; yo lo pagaré (por no decirte que aun tú mismo te me debes a mí^b). 20 Sí, hermano, permíteme disfrutar este beneficio de ti en el Señor; recrea^1a mi corazón² en Cristo.

21 Te escribo confiado en tu obediencia^a, sabiendo que harás aun más de lo que digo. 22 Y al mismo tiempo, prepárame también alojamiento^a, pues espero^b que por vuestras oraciones^c os seré concedido^d.

23 Te saluda Epafras^a, mi compañero de prisión en Cristo Jesús^b; 24 también Marcos^a, Aristarco^b, Demas^c y Lucas^d, mis colaboradores.

25 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo^a sea con vuestro espíritu^1b.

4 ^aI thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5 because I ^ahear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the ¹saints; 6 and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective ¹through the ^aknowledge of every good thing which is in you ²for Christ’s sake. 7 For I have come to have much ^ajoy and comfort in your love, because the ¹hearts of the ²saints have been ^brefreshed through you, brother.

8 Therefore, ^athough I have ¹enough confidence in Christ to order you to do what is ^bproper, 9 yet for love’s sake I rather ^aappeal to you—since I am such a person as Paul, ¹the ^baged, and now also ^ca prisoner of ^dChrist Jesus—

10 I ^aappeal to you for my ^bchild ^1cOnesimus, whom I have begotten in my ²imprisonment, 11 who formerly was useless to you, but now is useful both to you and to me. 12 I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart, 13 whom I wished to keep with me, so that on your behalf he might minister to me in my ^1aimprisonment for the gospel; 14 but without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your goodness would ^anot be, in effect, by compulsion but of your own free will. 15 For perhaps ^ahe was for this reason separated from you for a while, that you would have him back forever, 16 ^ano longer as a slave, but more than a slave, ^ba beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both ^cin the flesh and in the Lord.

17 If then you regard me a ^apartner, accept him as you would me. 18 But if he has wronged you in any way or owes you anything, charge that to my account; 19 ^aI, Paul, am writing this with my own hand, I will repay it ^b(not to ¹mention to you that you owe to me even your own self as well). 20 Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; ^arefresh my heart in Christ.

21 ^aHaving confidence in your obedience, I write to you, since I know that you will do even more than what I say.

22 At the same time also prepare me a ^alodging, for ^bI hope that through ^cyour prayers ^dI will be given to you.

23 ^aEpaphras, my ^bfellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, 24 as do ^aMark, ^bAristarchus, ^cDemas, ^dLuke, my ^efellow workers.
