¹En el documento sellado^a estaban los nombres de Nehemías el gobernador², hijo de Hacalías, y Sedequías, 2 Seraías, Azarías, Jeremías, 3 Pasur, Amarías, Malquías, 4 Hatús, Sebanías, Maluc, 5 Harim, Meremot, Obadías, 6 Daniel, Ginetón, Baruc, 7 Mesulam, Abías, Mijamín, 8 Maazías, Bilgaí y Semaías. Estos eran los sacerdotes. 9 Y los levitas: Jesúa, hijo de Azanías, Binúi, de los hijos de Henadad, Cadmiel; 10 también sus hermanos Sebanías, Hodías, Kelita, Pelaías, Hanán, 11 Micaía, Rehob, Hasabías, 12 Zacur, Serebías, Sebanías, 13 Hodías, Bani y Beninu. 14 Los jefes del pueblo: Paros, Pahat-moab, Elam, Zatu, Bani, 15 Buni, Azgad, Bebai, 16 Adonías, Bigvai, Adín, 17 Ater, Ezequías, Azur, 18 Hodías, Hasum, Bezai, 19 Harif, Anatot, Nebai, 20 Magpías, Mesulam, Hezir, 21 Mesezabeel, Sadoc, Jadúa, 22 Pelatías, Hanán, Anaías, 23 Oseas, Hananías, Hasub, 24 Halohes, Pilha, Sobec, 25 Rehum, Hasabna, Maasías, 26 Ahías, Hanán, Anán, 27 Maluc, Harim y Baana.

28 Y el resto del pueblo, los sacerdotes, los levitas, los porteros, los cantores, los sirvientes del templo^a, y todos los que se han apartado de los pueblos de las tierras^b a la ley de Dios, sus mujeres, sus hijos y sus hijas, todos los que tienen conocimiento y entendimiento, 29 se adhieren a sus parientes¹, sus nobles, y toman sobre sí² un voto y un juramento^a de andar en la ley de Dios que fue dada por medio³ de Moisés, siervo de Dios, y de guardar y cumplir todos los mandamientos de DIOS⁴ nuestro Señor, y sus ordenanzas y sus estatutos; 30 y que no daremos nuestras hijas a los pueblos de la tierra ni tomaremos sus hijas para nuestros hijos^a. 31 En cuanto a los pueblos de la tierra que traigan mercancías o cualquier clase de grano para vender en el día de reposo, no compraremos de ellos en día de reposo ni en día santo^a; y renunciaremos a las cosechas del año séptimo^b y a la exigencia de toda deuda^c.

32 También nos imponemos la obligación¹ de contribuir con un tercio de un siclo² al año para el servicio de la casa de nuestro Dios^a: 33 para el pan de la proposición y la ofrenda continua de cereal; para el holocausto continuo, los días de reposo, las lunas nuevas y las fiestas señaladas; para las cosas sagradas, para las ofrendas por el pecado para hacer expiación por Israel y para toda la obra de la casa de nuestro Dios^a.

34 Asimismo echamos suertes^a para la provisión de madera entre los sacerdotes, los levitas y el pueblo para que la traigan a la casa de nuestro Dios, conforme a nuestras casas paternas, en los tiempos fijados cada año^b, para quemar sobre el altar del SEÑOR nuestro Dios, como está escrito en la ley; 35 y para traer cada año los primeros frutos de nuestra tierra y los primeros frutos de todo árbol¹ a la casa del SEÑOR^a, 36 y traer a la casa de nuestro Dios los primogénitos de nuestros hijos y de nuestros ganados como está escrito en la ley^a; los primogénitos de nuestras vacas y de nuestras ovejas son para los sacerdotes que ministran en la casa de nuestro Dios. 37 También traeremos las primicias de nuestra harina^1a y nuestras ofrendas del fruto de todo árbol, del mosto y del aceite para los sacerdotes a las cámaras de la casa de nuestro Dios^b, y el diezmo de nuestro suelo a los levitas^c, porque los levitas son los que reciben los diezmos en todas las ciudades donde trabajamos. 38 Y un sacerdote, hijo de Aarón, estará con los levitas cuando los levitas reciban los diezmos, y los levitas llevarán la décima parte de los diezmos a la casa de nuestro Dios^a, a las cámaras del almacén^b; 39 pues los hijos de Israel y los hijos de Leví llevan la contribución^a del cereal, del mosto y del aceite a las cámaras; allí están los utensilios del santuario, los sacerdotes que ministran, los porteros y los cantores. Así no descuidaremos¹ la casa de nuestro Dios^b.

28 Now ^athe rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants and ^ball those who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, all those who had knowledge and understanding, 29 are joining with their ¹kinsmen, their nobles, and are ^2ataking on themselves a curse and an oath to walk in God’s law, which was given through Moses, God’s servant, and to keep and to observe all the commandments of ³GOD our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes; 30 and ^athat we will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons. 31 As ^afor the peoples of the land who bring wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the sabbath or a holy day; and we will forego the crops the ^bseventh year and the ^cexaction of every debt.

32 We also ¹placed ourselves under obligation to contribute yearly ^aone third of a shekel for the service of the house of our God: 33 for the ^ashowbread, for the continual grain offering, for the continual burnt offering, the sabbaths, the new moon, for the appointed times, for the holy things and for the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and all the work of the house of our God.

34 Likewise ^awe cast lots ^bfor the supply of wood among the priests, the Levites and the people so that they might bring it to the house of our God, according to our fathers’ households, at fixed times annually, to burn on the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law; 35 and that they might bring the first fruits of our ground and ^athe first fruits of all the fruit of every tree to the house of the LORD annually, 36 and ^abring to the house of our God the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks as it is written in the law, for the priests who are ministering in the house of our God. 37 ^aWe will also bring the first of our ¹dough, our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the new wine and the oil ^bto the priests at the chambers of the house of our God, and the ^ctithe of our ground to the Levites, for the Levites are they who receive the tithes in all the rural towns. 38 ^aThe priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of ^bthe storehouse. 39 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the ^acontribution of the grain, the new wine and the oil to the chambers; there are the utensils of the sanctuary, the priests who are ministering, the gatekeepers and the singers. Thus ^bwe will not ¹neglect the house of our God.
