Job declara el poder de Dios

Entonces respondió Job, y dijo:

2 En verdad que sois el pueblo,y con vosotros morirá la sabiduríaa.3 Pero yo también tengo inteligencia como vosotros,no soy inferior a vosotrosa.¿Y quién no sabe esto1?4 Soy motivo de burla para mis1 amigosa,el que clamaba a Dios, y Él le respondía.Motivo de burla es el justo e intachableb.5 El que está en holgura desprecia la calamidad1,como cosa preparada para aquellos cuyos pies resbalan.6 Las tiendas de los destructores prosperana,y los que provocan a Dios están segurosb,a quienes Dios ha dado el poder que tienen1c.
7 Y ahora pregunta a las bestias, y que ellas te instruyan,y a las aves de los cielos, y que ellas te informen.8 O habla a la tierra y que ella te instruya,y que los peces del mar te lo declaren.9 ¿Quién entre todos ellos1 no sabeque la mano del SEÑOR ha hecho estoa,10 que en su mano está la vida de todo ser viviente,y el aliento de toda carne de hombrea?11 ¿No distingue el oído las palabrascomo el paladar prueba1 la comidaa?12 En los ancianos está la sabiduría,y en largura de días el entendimientoa.
13 En1 Él están la sabiduría y el podera,y el consejo y el entendimiento son suyosb.14 He aquí, Él derriba, y no se puede reedificara;aprisiona a1 un hombreb, y no hay liberación2.15 He aquí, Él retiene las aguas, y todo se seca1a,y las envía e inundan2 la tierrab.16 En1 Él están la fuerza y la prudencia,suyos son el engañado y el engañadora.17 Él hace que los consejerosa anden descalzos1,y hace necios a los juecesb.18 Rompe las cadenas1 de los reyesay ata sus cinturas con cuerda.19 Hace que los sacerdotes anden descalzos1y derriba a los que están segurosa.20 Priva del habla a los hombres de confianzay quita a los ancianos el discernimientoa.21 Vierte desprecio sobre los noblesay afloja el cintob de los fuertes.22 El revela los misterios de las tinieblasy saca a la luz la densa oscuridada.23 Engrandece las nacionesa, y las destruye;ensancha las naciones, y las dispersa.24 Privaa de inteligencia a los jefes de la gente de la tierray los hace vagar por un yermo sin camino;25 andan a tientas en tinieblas, sin luza,y los hace tambalearse como ebriosb.
Job Chides His Accusers

Then Job 1responded,

2 Truly then ayou are the people,And with you wisdom will die!3 “But aI have intelligence as well as you;I am not inferior to you.And 1who does not know such things as these?4 “I am a ajoke to 1my friends,The one who called on God and He answered him;The just and bblameless man is a joke.5 1He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt,As prepared for those whose feet slip.6 “The atents of the destroyers prosper,And those who provoke God bare secure,1Whom God brings cinto their power.
7 “But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you;And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.8 Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you;And let the fish of the sea declare to you.9 Who among all these does not knowThat athe hand of the LORD has done this,10 aIn whose hand is the life of every living thing,And bthe breath of all mankind?11 “Does not athe ear test words,As the palate 1tastes its food?12 Wisdom is with aaged men,With 1long life is understanding.
Job Speaks of the Power of God
13 “With Him are awisdom and bmight;To Him belong counsel and cunderstanding.14 Behold, He atears down, and it cannot be rebuilt;He 1bimprisons a man, and 2there can be no release.15 Behold, He arestrains the waters, and they dry up;And He bsends them out, and they 1inundate the earth.16 “With Him are strength and sound wisdom,The amisled and the misleader belong to Him.17 “He makes acounselors walk 1barefootAnd makes fools of bjudges.18 “He aloosens the 1bond of kingsAnd binds their loins with a girdle.19 “He makes priests walk 1barefootAnd overthrows athe secure ones.20 “He deprives the trusted ones of speechAnd atakes away the discernment of the elders.21 “He apours contempt on noblesAnd bloosens the belt of the strong.22 “He areveals mysteries from the darknessAnd brings the deep darkness into light.23 “He amakes the nations great, then destroys them;He 1enlarges the nations, then leads them away.24 “He adeprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth’s peopleAnd makes them wander in a pathless waste.25 “They agrope in darkness with no light,And He makes them bstagger like a drunken man.
