Entonces miré, y he aquí, en el firmamento que estaba sobre las cabezas de los querubines, como una piedra de zafiro de apariencia semejante a un trono^a apareció sobre ellos^b. 2 Y Él habló al hombre vestido de lino y dijo: Entra en medio de las ruedas^a debajo de los querubines¹, llena tus manos de carbones encendidos de entre los querubines y espárcelos sobre la ciudad^b. Y ante mis ojos entró.

3 Los querubines estaban de pie a la derecha del templo^1a cuando el hombre entró, y la nube llenaba el atrio interior. 4 Entonces la gloria del SEÑOR subió del querubín hacia el umbral del templo^a, y el templo se llenó de la nube, y el atrio se llenó del resplandor de la gloria del SEÑOR^b. 5 El ruido de las alas de los querubines se oía hasta el atrio exterior, como la voz del Dios Todopoderoso¹ cuando habla^a.

6 Y sucedió que cuando ordenó al hombre vestido de lino, diciendo: Toma fuego de entre las ruedas, de entre los querubines, él entró y se paró junto a una rueda. 7 El querubín extendió su mano de entre los querubines hacia el fuego que estaba entre ellos¹, lo tomó y lo puso en las manos del que estaba vestido de lino, el cual lo tomó y salió. 8 Y los querubines parecían tener la forma de la mano de un hombre debajo de sus alas.

9 ^aEntonces miré, y he aquí, había cuatro ruedas junto a los querubines, cada rueda junto a cada querubín; el aspecto de las ruedas era como el brillo de una piedra de Tarsis^1b. 10 En cuanto a su apariencia, las cuatro tenían la misma semejanza, como si una¹ rueda estuviera dentro de la otra rueda. 11 Cuando andaban, se movían¹ en las cuatro direcciones², sin volverse cuando andaban, sino que seguían la dirección en que ponían el rostro³, sin volverse cuando andaban^a. 12 Y todo su cuerpo, sus espaldas, sus manos, sus alas y las ruedas estaban llenos de ojos alrededor^a, las ruedas de los cuatro^b. 13 A las ruedas se les llamó torbellino, y yo lo oí¹. 14 Y tenía cada uno cuatro caras. La primera cara era la cara de un querubín, la segunda, la cara de un hombre, la tercera, la cara de un león y la cuarta, la cara de un águila^a.

15 Entonces los querubines se levantaron. Estos eran los seres vivientes¹ que yo había visto en el río Quebar^a. 16 Cuando los querubines andaban, las ruedas andaban a su lado; y cuando los querubines alzaban sus alas para elevarse del suelo, las ruedas no se apartaban de su lado. 17 Cuando los querubines¹ se detenían, se detenían las ruedas, y cuando se levantaban, se levantaban las ruedas con ellos, porque el espíritu de los seres vivientes² estaba en ellas^a.

18 Y la gloria del SEÑOR salió de sobre el umbral del templo y se puso sobre los querubines^a. 19 Cuando los querubines alzaron sus alas y se elevaron del suelo ante mis ojos salieron con las ruedas a su lado, y se detuvieron a la entrada de la puerta oriental de la casa del SEÑOR. Y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima, sobre ellos^a.

20 Estos eran los seres vivientes que yo había visto debajo del Dios de Israel junto al río Quebar^a; entonces supe que eran querubines^b. 21 Cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cada uno cuatro alas, y había una semejanza de manos de hombre debajo de sus alas^a. 22 En cuanto a la forma de sus caras, eran las mismas caras cuya apariencia yo había visto junto al río Quebar. Cada uno caminaba derecho hacia adelante.

Then I looked, and behold, in the ^1aexpanse that was over the heads of the cherubim something like a ^bsapphire stone, in appearance resembling a ^cthrone, appeared above them. 2 And He spoke to the man clothed in linen and said, “Enter between the ^awhirling wheels under the ¹cherubim and fill your hands with ^bcoals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them over the city.” And he entered in my sight.

3 Now the cherubim were standing on the right side of the ¹temple when the man entered, and the cloud filled the ^ainner court. 4 Then the ^aglory of the LORD went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and the ^btemple was filled with the cloud and the court was filled with the ^cbrightness of the glory of the LORD. 5 Moreover, the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the ^avoice of ¹God Almighty when He speaks.

6 It came about when He commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, “Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim,” he entered and stood beside a wheel. 7 Then the cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire which was between the cherubim, took some and put it into the hands of the one clothed in linen, who took it and went out. 8 The cherubim appeared to have the form of a man’s hand under their wings.

9 Then I looked, and behold, ^afour wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside each cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like the gleam of a ^1bTarshish stone. 10 As for their appearance, all four of them had the same likeness, as if one wheel were within another wheel. 11 When they moved, they went ^ain any of their four ¹directions without turning as they went; but they followed in the direction which ²they faced, without turning as they went. 12 Their ^awhole body, their backs, their hands, their wings and the ^bwheels were full of eyes all around, the wheels belonging to all four of them. 13 The wheels were called in my hearing, the whirling wheels. 14 And ^aeach one had four faces. The first face was the face of a cherub, the second face was the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

15 Then the cherubim rose up. They are the ^aliving beings that I saw by the river Chebar. 16 Now when the cherubim moved, the wheels would go beside them; also when the cherubim lifted up their wings to rise from the ground, the wheels would not turn from beside them. 17 When ¹the cherubim ^astood still, ²the wheels would stand still; and when they rose up, ³the wheels would rise with them, for the spirit of the living beings was in them.

18 Then the glory of the LORD departed from the threshold of the temple and stood ^aover the cherubim. 19 When ^athe cherubim departed, they lifted their wings and rose up from the earth in my sight with the wheels beside them; and they stood still at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD’S house, and the glory of the God of Israel ¹hovered over them.

20 These are the ^aliving beings that I saw beneath the God of Israel by ^bthe river Chebar; so I knew that they were cherubim. 21 ^aEach one had four faces and each one four wings, and beneath their wings was the form of human hands. 22 As for the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces whose appearance I had seen by the river Chebar. Each one went straight ahead.
