Así que yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros como a espirituales^a, sino como a carnales^b, como a niños^c en Cristo. 2 Os di a beber leche, no alimento sólido^a, porque todavía no podíais recibirlo^b. En verdad, ni aun ahora podéis, 3 porque todavía sois carnales. Pues habiendo celos y contiendas^a entre vosotros, ¿no sois carnales y andáis como hombres^1b? 4 Porque cuando uno dice: Yo soy de Pablo, y otro: Yo soy de Apolos^a, ¿no sois simplemente hombres^b? 5 ¿Qué es, pues, Apolos? Y ¿qué es Pablo? Servidores^a mediante los cuales vosotros habéis creído, según el Señor dio oportunidad a cada uno^b. 6 Yo planté^a, Apolos^b regó, pero Dios ha dado el crecimiento^c. 7 Así que ni el que planta ni el que riega es algo, sino Dios, que da el crecimiento. 8 Ahora bien, el que planta y el que riega son una misma cosa, pero cada uno recibirá su propia recompensa¹ conforme a su propia labor^a. 9 Porque nosotros somos colaboradores^a de Dios, y vosotros sois labranza^b de Dios, edificio de Dios^c.

10 Conforme a la gracia de Dios que me fue dada^a, yo, como sabio arquitecto, puse el fundamento^b, y otro edifica sobre él^c. Pero cada uno tenga cuidado cómo edifica encima. 11 Pues nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que ya está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo^a. 12 Ahora bien, si sobre este fundamento alguno edifica con oro, plata, piedras preciosas¹, madera, heno, paja, 13 la obra de cada uno se hará evidente^a; porque el día la dará a conocer, pues con fuego será revelada; el fuego mismo probará la calidad de la obra de cada uno^1b. 14 Si permanece la obra de alguno que ha edificado sobre el fundamento, recibirá recompensa^a. 15 Si la obra de alguno es consumida por el fuego, sufrirá pérdida; sin embargo, él será salvo, aunque así como por fuego^a.

16 ¿No sabéis que sois templo¹ de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros^a? 17 Si alguno destruye el templo¹ de Dios, Dios lo destruirá a él, porque el templo² de Dios es santo, y eso es lo que vosotros sois³.

18 Nadie se engañe a sí mismo^a. Si alguno de vosotros se cree sabio según este mundo^1b, hágase necio a fin de llegar a ser sabio^c. 19 Porque la sabiduría de este mundo es necedad ante Dios^a. Pues escrito está: Él es EL QUE PRENDE A LOS SABIOS EN SU propia ASTUCIA^b. 20 Y también: EL SEÑOR CONOCE LOS RAZONAMIENTOS de los sabios, LOS CUALES SON INÚTILES^a. 21 Así que nadie se jacte en los hombres^a, porque todo es vuestro^b: 22 ya sea Pablo, o Apolos, o Cefas^a, o el mundo, o la vida, o la muerte^b, o lo presente, o lo por venir, todo es vuestro, 23 y vosotros de Cristo^a, y Cristo de Dios^b.

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to ^aspiritual men, but as to ^bmen of flesh, as to ^cinfants in Christ. 2 I gave you ^amilk to drink, not solid food; for you ^bwere not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, 3 for you are still fleshly. For since there is ^ajealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking ^1blike mere men? 4 For when ^aone says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere ^bmen?

5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? ^aServants through whom you believed, even ^bas the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 6 ^aI planted, ^bApollos watered, but ^cGod was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will ^areceive his own ¹reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s ^afellow workers; you are God’s ^1bfield, God’s ^cbuilding.

10 According to ^athe grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder ^bI laid a foundation, and ^canother is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no man can lay a ^afoundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, ¹precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 ^aeach man’s work will become evident; for ^bthe day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test ¹the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will ^areceive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet ^aso as through fire.

16 ^aDo you not know that ^byou are a ¹temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If any man destroys the ¹temple of God, God will destroy him, for the ²temple of God is holy, and ³that is what you are.

18 ^aLet no man deceive himself. ^bIf any man among you thinks that he is wise in ^cthis age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. 19 For ^athe wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “He is ^bTHE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS”; 20 and again, “^aTHE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS.” 21 So then ^alet no one boast in men. For ^ball things belong to you, 22 ^awhether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or ^blife or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, 23 and ^ayou belong to Christ; and ^bChrist belongs to God.
