Pedid lluvia al SEÑORen el tiempo de la lluvia tardía1a,al SEÑOR que hace los nubarrones2;Él les dará aguacerosb,y hierba en el campo a cada unoc.2 Porque los terafines1 hablan iniquidad2a,y los adivinos ven visiones mentirosas3b,y cuentan sueños falsosc;en vano dan consuelo.Por tanto, el pueblo vaga4 como ovejas,está afligido porque no hay pastord.3 Contra los pastores se enciende mi iraa,y a los machos cabríos1 castigaré;porque el SEÑOR de los ejércitos ha visitado su rebañob, la casa de Judá,y hará de ellos como su caballo de honor en la batalla.4 De él saldrá la piedra angulara,de él la clavija,de él el arco de guerrab,de él todo gobernante1; juntos5 serán como valientes,que en la batalla huellan al enemigo en el barro de las callesa;pelearán, porque el SEÑOR estará con ellos,y serán avergonzados los que montan a caballob.6 Fortaleceréa la casa de Judáy la casa de José salvaréb,y los haré volver1cporque me he compadecido de ellosd;y serán como si no los hubiera rechazadoe,porque yo soy el SEÑOR su Dios, y les responderéf.7 Efraín será como un valiente,y se alegrará su corazón como por el vino;sus hijos lo verán y se alegrarán,y se regocijará1 su corazón en el SEÑORa.8 Y les silbaré para reunirlosa,porque los he redimidob;y serán tan numerosos como eran1c.9 Cuando yo los esparza1 entre los pueblos,aun en lejanas tierras se acordarán de mí,y vivirán con sus hijos, y volverána.10 Los haré volver de la tierra de Egipto,y de Asiria los recogeréa;los traeré a la tierra de Galaadb y del Líbano,hasta que no haya1 sitio para ellosc.11 Pasarán por el mar de la angustia,y Él herirá las olas en el maray se secarán todas las profundidades del Nilob;y será abatido el orgullo de Asiriacy apartado el cetro de Egiptod.12 Yo los fortaleceré en el SEÑORa,y en su nombre andarán—declara el SEÑORb.

Ask arain from the LORD at the time of the spring rain—The LORD who bmakes the 1storm clouds;And He will give them cshowers of rain, vegetation in the field to each man.2 For the ateraphim speak 1iniquity,And the bdiviners see 2lying visionsAnd tell cfalse dreams;They comfort in vain.Therefore the people 3wander like dsheep,They are afflicted, because there is no shepherd.3 “My aanger is kindled against the shepherds,And I will punish the 1male goats;For the LORD of hosts has bvisited His flock, the house of Judah,And will make them like His majestic horse in battle.4 “From 1them will come the acornerstone,From 2them the tent peg,From 3them the bow of bbattle,From 4them every 5ruler, all of them together.5 “They will be as mighty men,aTreading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle;And they will fight, for the LORD will be with them;And the briders on horses will be put to shame.6 “I will astrengthen the house of Judah,And I will bsave the house of Joseph,And I will 1cbring them back,Because I have had dcompassion on them;And they will be as though I had enot rejected them,For I am the LORD their God and I will fanswer them.7 “Ephraim will be like a mighty man,And their heart will be glad as if from wine;Indeed, their achildren will see it and be glad,1Their heart will rejoice in the LORD.8 “I will awhistle for them to gather them together,For I have redeemed them;And they will be as bnumerous as they 1cwere before.9 “When I 1scatter them among the peoples,They will aremember Me in far countries,And they with their children will live and come back.10 “I will abring them back from the land of EgyptAnd gather them from Assyria;And I will bring them into the land of bGilead and Lebanon1Until cno room can be found for them.11 “And they will pass through the asea of distressAnd He will strike the waves in the sea,So that all the depths of the bNile will dry up;And the pride of cAssyria will be brought downAnd the scepter of dEgypt will depart.12 “And I will astrengthen them in the LORD,And in His name bthey will walk,” declares the LORD.
