Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres en el Señor^a, porque esto es justo. 2 HONRA A TU PADRE Y A tu MADRE^a (que es el primer mandamiento con promesa), 3 PARA QUE TE VAYA BIEN, Y PARA QUE TENGAS LARGA VIDA SOBRE LA TIERRA. 4 Y vosotros, padres, no provoquéis a ira a vuestros hijos^a, sino criadlos en la disciplina e instrucción del Señor^b.

5 Siervos¹, obedeced a vuestros² amos en la tierra^3a, con temor y temblor^b, con⁴ la sinceridad de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo^c; 6 no para ser vistos^1a, como los que quieren agradar a los hombres^b, sino como siervos² de Cristo^c, haciendo de corazón³ la voluntad de Dios. 7 Servid¹ de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres^a, 8 sabiendo que cualquier cosa buena que cada uno haga, esto recibirá del Señor^a, sea siervo¹ o sea libre^b. 9 Y vosotros, amos, haced lo mismo con¹ ellos, y dejad las amenazas^a, sabiendo que el Señor² de ellos y de vosotros está en los cielos^b, y que para Él no hay acepción de personas^c.

10 Por lo demás, fortaleceos en el Señor^a y en el poder de su fuerza^b. 11 Revestíos con¹ toda la armadura de Dios^a para que podáis estar firmes contra las insidias del diablo^b. 12 Porque nuestra lucha^a no es contra sangre y carne^b, sino contra principados, contra potestades, contra los poderes¹ de este mundo^c de tinieblas^d, contra las huestes espirituales de maldad en las regiones celestiales^e. 13 Por tanto, tomad toda la armadura de Dios^a, para que podáis resistir en el día malo^b, y habiéndolo hecho todo, estar firmes^c. 14 Estad, pues, firmes, CEÑIDA VUESTRA CINTURA¹ CON LA VERDAD^a, REVESTIDOS^b CON LA CORAZA DE LA JUSTICIA^c, 15 y calzados LOS PIES CON EL APRESTO DEL EVANGELIO DE LA PAZ^a; 16 en todo¹, tomando el escudo de la fe^a con el que podréis apagar todos los dardos encendidos^b del maligno^c. 17 Tomad también el YELMO DE LA SALVACIÓN^a, y la espada^b del Espíritu que es la palabra de Dios^c. 18 Con toda oración y súplica^a orad¹ en todo tiempo^b en el Espíritu^c, y así², velad^3d con toda perseverancia^e y súplica por todos los santos^f; 19 y orad por mí^a, para que me sea dada palabra al abrir mi boca^b, a fin de dar a conocer sin temor^1c el misterio^d del evangelio^e, 20 por el cual soy embajador^a en cadenas^1b; que² al proclamarlo hable con denuedo^c, como debo hablar^d.

21 ^aPero a fin de que también vosotros sepáis mi situación¹ y lo que hago, todo os lo hará saber Tíquico^b, amado hermano y fiel ministro en el Señor^c, 22 a quien he enviado a vosotros precisamente para esto, para que sepáis de nosotros¹ y para que consuele vuestros corazones^a.

23 Paz sea a los hermanos^a, y amor con fe^b de Dios el Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. 24 La gracia sea con todos los que aman a nuestro Señor Jesucristo con amor incorruptible¹.

5 ^aSlaves, be obedient to those who are your ¹masters according to the flesh, with ^bfear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, ^cas to Christ; 6 ^anot ¹by way of eyeservice, as ^bmen-pleasers, but as ^cslaves of Christ, ^ddoing the will of God from the ²heart. 7 With good will ¹render service, ^aas to the Lord, and not to men, 8 ^aknowing that ^bwhatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, ^cwhether slave or free.

9 And masters, do the same things to them, and ^agive up threatening, knowing that ^bboth their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is ^cno partiality with Him.

10 Finally, ^abe strong in the Lord and in ^bthe strength of His might. 11 ^aPut on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the ^bschemes of the devil. 12 For our ^astruggle is not against ^1bflesh and blood, but ^cagainst the rulers, against the powers, against the ^dworld forces of this ^edarkness, against the ^fspiritual forces of wickedness in ^gthe heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up ^athe full armor of God, so that you will be able to ^bresist in ^cthe evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, ^aHAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING ^bPUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15 and having ^ashod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 ¹in addition to all, taking up the ^ashield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the ^bflaming arrows of ^cthe evil one. 17 And take ^aTHE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the ^bsword of the Spirit, which is ^cthe word of God.

18 ¹With all ^aprayer and petition ^2bpray at all times ^cin the Spirit, and with this in view, ^3dbe on the alert with all ^eperseverance and ^fpetition for all the saints, 19 and ^apray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me ^bin the opening of my mouth, to make known with ^cboldness ^dthe mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ^aambassador ^bin ¹chains; that ²in proclaiming it I may speak ^cboldly, ^das I ought to speak.

21 ^aBut that you also may know about my circumstances, ¹how I am doing, ^bTychicus, ^cthe beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make everything known to you. 22 ^1aI have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know ²about us, and that he may ^bcomfort your hearts.

23 ^aPeace be to the brethren, and ^blove with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ ¹with incorruptible love.
