9 Procura venir a verme pronto^a, 10 pues Demas^a me ha abandonado, habiendo amado este mundo^1b presente, y se ha ido a Tesalónica^c; Crescente se fue a Galacia^2d y Tito a Dalmacia^e. 11 Solo^a Lucas está conmigo^b. Toma a Marcos^c y tráelo contigo, porque me es útil para el ministerio^1d. 12 Pero a Tíquico^a lo envié a Efeso^b. 13 Cuando vengas, trae la capa que dejé en Troas con Carpo^a, y los libros¹, especialmente los pergaminos. 14 Alejandro^a, el calderero, me hizo mucho daño; el Señor le retribuirá conforme a sus hechos^b. 15 Tú también cuídate de él, pues se opone vigorosamente a nuestra enseñanza¹. 16 En mi primera defensa nadie estuvo a mi lado, sino que todos me abandonaron; que no se les tenga en cuenta^a. 17 Pero el Señor estuvo conmigo y me fortaleció^a, a fin de que por mí se cumpliera cabalmente^b la proclamación del mensaje^c y que todos los gentiles oyeran^d. Y fui librado^e de la boca del león^f. 18 El Señor me librará de toda obra mala y me traerá a salvo^a a¹ su reino celestial^b. A Él² sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos^c. Amén.

16 At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; ^amay it not be counted against them. 17 But the Lord stood with me and ^astrengthened me, so that through me ^bthe proclamation might ¹be ^cfully accomplished, and that all ^dthe Gentiles might hear; and I was ^erescued out of ^fthe lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will ^1abring me safely to His ^bheavenly kingdom; ^cto ²Him be the glory forever and ever.
