Después de esto, vi a cuatro ángeles^a de pie en los cuatro extremos^1b de la tierra, que detenían los cuatro vientos de la tierra^c, para que no soplara viento alguno, ni sobre la tierra ni sobre el mar ni sobre ningún árbol^d. 2 Y vi a otro ángel que subía de donde sale el sol^a y que tenía el sello^b del Dios vivo^c; y gritó a gran voz a los cuatro ángeles^d a quienes se les había concedido hacer daño a la tierra y al mar, 3 diciendo: No hagáis daño, ni a la tierra ni al mar ni a los árboles^a, hasta que hayamos puesto un sello^b en la frente a los siervos de nuestro Dios^c. 4 Y oí el número de los que fueron sellados^a: ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil sellados^b de todas las tribus de los hijos de Israel; 5 de la tribu de Judá fueron sellados doce mil; de la tribu de Rubén, doce mil; de la tribu de Gad, doce mil; 6 de la tribu de Aser, doce mil; de la tribu de Neftalí, doce mil; de la tribu de Manasés, doce mil; 7 de la tribu de Simeón, doce mil; de la tribu de Leví, doce mil; de la tribu de Isacar, doce mil; 8 de la tribu de Zabulón, doce mil; de la tribu de José, doce mil, y de la tribu de Benjamín fueron sellados doce mil.

9 Después de esto miré, y vi¹ una gran multitud, que nadie podía contar, de todas las naciones, tribus, pueblos y lenguas^a, de pie delante del trono^b y delante del Cordero^c, vestidos con vestiduras blancas^d y con palmas en las manos^e. 10 Y clamaban¹ a gran voz, diciendo:

11 Y todos los ángeles estaban de pie alrededor del trono^a y alrededor de los ancianos^b y de los cuatro seres vivientes^c, y cayeron sobre sus rostros^d delante del trono, y adoraron a Dios, 12 diciendo:AAmén^a! La bendición^b, la gloria, la sabiduría, la acción de gracias, el honor, el poder y la fortaleza, sean a nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos. Amén^c. 13 Y uno de los ancianos habló^1a diciéndome: Estos que están vestidos con vestiduras blancas^b, ¿quiénes son y de dónde han venido? 14 Y yo le respondí¹: Señor mío, tú lo sabes. Y él me dijo: Estos son los que vienen de la gran tribulación^a, y han lavado sus vestiduras^b y las han emblanquecido^c en la sangre del Cordero^d. 15 Por eso están delante del trono de Dios^a, y le sirven^b día y noche en su templo^1c; y el que está sentado en el trono^d extenderá su tabernáculo sobre ellos^e. 16 Ya no tendrán hambre ni sed, ni el sol los abatirá¹, ni calor alguno^a, 17 pues el Cordero en medio del trono los pastoreará^a y los guiará a manantiales de aguas de vida^b, y Dios enjugará toda lágrima de sus ojos^c.

After this I saw ^afour angels standing at the ^bfour corners of the earth, holding back ^cthe four winds of the earth, ^dso that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending ^afrom the rising of the sun, having the ^bseal of ^cthe living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the ^dfour angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “^aDo not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have ^bsealed the bond-servants of our God on their ^cforeheads.”

4 And I heard the ^anumber of those who were sealed, ^bone hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from ^aevery nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing ^bbefore the throne and ^cbefore the Lamb, clothed in ^dwhite robes, and ^epalm branches were in their hands; 10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying,“^aSalvation to our God ^bwho sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” 11 And all the angels were standing ^aaround the throne and around ^bthe elders and the ^cfour living creatures; and they ^dfell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying,“^aAmen, ^bblessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. ^cAmen.”

13 Then one of the elders ^aanswered, saying to me, “These who are clothed in the ^bwhite robes, who are they, and where have they come from?” 14 I ¹said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the ^agreat tribulation, and they have ^bwashed their robes and made them ^cwhite in the ^dblood of the Lamb. 15 For this reason, they are ^abefore the throne of God; and they ^bserve Him day and night in His ^1ctemple; and ^dHe who sits on the throne will spread His ^etabernacle over them. 16 ^aThey will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun ¹beat down on them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their ^ashepherd, and will guide them to springs of the ^1bwater of life; and ^cGod will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

After this I saw ^afour angels stationed at the ^bfour corners of the earth, holding back ^cthe ¹four winds of the earth ^dso that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. Zech 6:5 2 Then I saw another angel coming up ^afrom the rising of the sun, holding the ^bseal of ^cthe living God; and with a loud voice he called out to the ^dfour angels to whom it was granted to have authority and power to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “^aDo not harm the earth nor the sea nor the trees until we ^1bseal (mark) the bond-servants of our God on their ^cforeheads.” Ezek 9:4

4 And I heard ^ahow many were sealed, ^ba hundred and forty-four thousand; twelve thousand sealed from ¹every tribe of the sons of Israel:

9 After these things I looked, and this is what I saw: a vast multitude which no one could count, gathered from ^aevery nation and from all the tribes and peoples and languages of the earth, standing ^bbefore the throne and ^cbefore the Lamb (Christ) , dressed in ^dwhite robes, with ^1epalm branches in their hands; 10 and in a loud voice they cried out, saying,“^aSalvation belongs to our God ^bwho is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb our salvation is the Trinity’s to give, and to God the Trinity we owe our deliverance.” 11 And all the angels were standing ^aaround the throne and around ^bthe twenty-four elders and the ^cfour living creatures; and they ^dfell to their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying,“^aAmen! ^bBlessing and glory and majesty and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might belong to our God forever and ever. ^cAmen.”

13 Then one of the elders ^aresponded, saying to me, “These who are dressed in the long ^bwhite robes—who are they, and from where did they come?” 14 I said to him, “My lord, you know the answer.” And he said to me, “These are the people who come out of the ^agreat tribulation (persecution) , and they have ^bwashed their robes and made them ^cwhite in the ^dblood of the Lamb because of His atoning sacrifice. Gen 49:11; Dan 12:1 15 For this reason, they are standing ^abefore the throne of God; and they ^bserve Him in worship day and night in His ^ctemple; and ^dHe who sits on the throne will ¹spread His ^etabernacle over them and shelter and protect them with His presence. Rev 21:3 16 ^aThey will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun ¹beat down on them, nor any scorching heat; Is 49:10; Ps 121:6 17 for the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will be their ^aShepherd, and He will guide them to springs of the ^bwaters of life; and ^cGod will wipe every tear from their eyes giving them eternal comfort.” Ps 23:2; Is 25:8; Ezek 34:23; Rev 21:4
