6 Y el SEÑOR me dijo en días del rey Josías: ¿Has visto lo que hizo la infiel Israel? Ella andaba sobre todo monte alto y bajo todo árbol frondoso, y allí fornicaba^1a. 7 Y me dije: «Después que ella haya hecho todas estas cosas, volverá a mí»; mas no regresó^a, y lo vio su pérfida hermana Judá^b. 8 Y vio¹ que a causa de todos los adulterios de la infiel Israel, yo la había despedido, dándole carta de divorcio^a; con todo, su pérfida hermana Judá no tuvo temor, sino que ella también fue y se hizo ramera^b. 9 Y sucedió que por la liviandad con que fornicó, profanó la tierra^a, y cometió adulterio con la piedra y con el leño^b. 10 A pesar de todo esto, su pérfida hermana Judá tampoco se volvió a mí de todo corazón^a, sino con engaño—declara el SEÑOR.

11 Y el SEÑOR me dijo: Más justa ha probado ser la infiel Israel que la pérfida Judá^a.

14 «Volved, hijos infieles»—declara el SEÑOR—, «porque yo soy vuestro dueño^a, y os tomaré, uno de cada ciudad y dos de cada familia, y os llevaré a Sión^b». 15 Entonces os daré pastores según mi corazón, que os apacienten^a con conocimiento y con inteligencia^b. 16 Y sucederá que en aquellos días, cuando os multipliquéis y crezcáis en la tierra—declara el SEÑOR—no se dirá más: «Arca del pacto del SEÑOR»; no les vendrá a la mente ni la recordarán, no la echarán de menos ni será hecha de nuevo^a. 17 En aquel tiempo llamarán a Jerusalén: «Trono del SEÑOR^a»; y todas las naciones acudirán a ella^b, a Jerusalén, a causa del nombre del SEÑOR^c; y no andarán más tras la terquedad de su malvado corazón^d. 18 En aquellos días andará la casa de Judá con la casa de Israel^a, y vendrán juntas de la tierra del norte^b a la tierra que di en heredad a vuestros padres^c.

24 Pero lo vergonzoso consumió el trabajo de nuestros padres desde nuestra juventud: sus ovejas y sus vacas, sus hijos y sus hijas^a. 25 Acostémonos en nuestra vergüenza, y que nos cubra nuestra humillación; porque hemos pecado contra el SEÑOR nuestro Dios, nosotros y nuestros padres desde nuestra juventud hasta hoy^a, y no hemos obedecido la voz del SEÑOR nuestro Dios^b.

6 Then the LORD said to me in the days of Josiah the king, “Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She ^awent up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there. 7 ^aI ¹thought, ‘After she has done all these things she will return to Me’; but she did not return, and her ^btreacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and ^agiven her a writ of divorce, yet her ^btreacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also. 9 Because of the lightness of her harlotry, she ^apolluted the land and committed adultery with ^bstones and trees. 10 Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in ^adeception,” declares the LORD.

11 And the LORD said to me, “^aFaithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say,‘^aReturn, faithless Israel,’ declares the LORD;‘^bI will not ¹look upon you in anger.For I am ^cgracious,’ declares the LORD;‘I will not be angry forever.

15 “Then I will give you ^ashepherds after My own heart, who will ^bfeed you on knowledge and understanding. 16 It shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land,” declares the LORD, “they will ^ano longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ And it will not come to mind, nor will they remember it, nor will they miss it, nor will it be made again. 17 At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The ^aThrone of the LORD,’ and ^ball the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the ^cname of the LORD; nor will they ^dwalk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart. 18 ^aIn those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together ^bfrom the land of the north to the ^cland that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

19 “Then I said,‘How I would set you among ¹My sonsAnd give you a pleasant land,The most ^abeautiful inheritance of the nations!’And I said, ‘You shall call Me, ^bMy Father,And not turn away from following Me.’

24 “But ^athe shameful thing has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth, their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25 Let us lie down in our ^ashame, and let our humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, ^bfrom our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.”

6 Then the LORD said to me in the days of King Josiah, “Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She ^awent up on every high hill and under every leafy tree, and she prostituted herself there. 7 Yet ^aI ¹thought, ‘After she has done all these things she will return to Me’; but she did not return, and her ^btreacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw that for all the ¹adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and ^agiven her a certificate of divorce, yet her ^btreacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and prostituted herself also. 9 And because of the thoughtlessness of her prostitution, she ^adefiled the land and committed ¹adultery with ^bstones and trees. 10 Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in ^adeception,” declares the LORD.

11 And the LORD said to me, “^aFaithless Israel has proved herself to be more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say,‘^aReturn, faithless Israel,’ declares the LORD;‘^bI will not ¹look at you in anger.For I am ^cgracious,’ declares the LORD;‘I will not be angry forever.

15 “Then I will give you ^ashepherds ¹after My own heart, who will ^bfeed you knowledge and understanding. 16 And it shall be in those days when you become numerous and are fruitful in the land,” declares the LORD, “they will ^ano longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ And it will not come to mind, nor will they remember it, nor miss it, nor will it be made again. 17 At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The ^aThrone of the LORD,’ and ^ball the nations will assemble at it, at Jerusalem, for the ^cname of the LORD; and they will no longer ^dfollow the stubbornness of their evil heart. 18 ^aIn those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together ^bfrom the land of the north to the ^cland that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

19 “Then I said,‘How I would set you among ¹My sonsAnd give you a pleasant land,The most ^abeautiful inheritance of the nations!’And I said, ‘You shall call Me, ^bMy Father,And not turn away from following Me.’

24 “But ^athe shame has consumed the product of our fathers’ labor since our youth—their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25 Let us lie down in our ^ashame, and let our humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, ^bfrom our youth even to this day. And we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.”

6 Moreover, the LORD said to me in the days of Josiah the king of Judah, “Have you seen what that faithless Israel has done—how she ^awent up on every high hill and under every green tree, and there she was a prostitute? 7 ^aI thought, ‘After she has done all these things she will return to Me’; but she did not return, and her ^btreacherous (faithless) sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw that even though Judah knew that for all the acts of adultery (idolatry) of faithless Israel, I the LORD had ¹sent her away and ^agiven her a certificate of divorce, yet her ^btreacherous sister ²Judah was not afraid; but she went and was a prostitute also following after idols. 9 Because of the thoughtlessness of Israel’s prostitution her immorality mattered little to her, she ^adesecrated the land and committed adultery with idols of ^bstones and trees. 10 Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with her whole heart, but rather in blatant ^adeception she merely pretended obedience to King Josiah’s reforms,” declares the LORD. 2+@Chr 34:33; Hos 7:13, 14

11 And the LORD said to me, “^aFaithless Israel has proved herself less guilty than treacherous Judah a land of renegades. 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north where the ten tribes have been taken as captives and say,‘^aReturn, faithless Israel,’ says the LORD;‘^bI will not ¹look on you in anger.For I am ^cgracious and merciful,’ says the LORD;‘I will not be angry forever.

15 “Then in the final time I will give you spiritual ^ashepherds after My own heart, who will ^bfeed you with knowledge and true understanding. 16 It will be in those days when you have repented and multiplied and increased in the land,” says the LORD, “they will ^ano longer say, ‘The ark of the covenant of the LORD.’ It will not come to mind, nor will they seriously remember it, nor will they miss it, nor will it be made again for instead of the ark, which symbolized My presence, I will be present. Is 65:17; Rev 21:3, 22, 23 17 At that time they will call Jerusalem ‘The ^aThrone of the LORD,’ and ^ball the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the ^cname (renown) of the LORD; and they will not ^dwalk anymore after the stubbornness of their own evil heart. 18 ^aIn those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and ¹they will come together ^bfrom the land of the north to the ^cland that I gave your fathers as an inheritance.

19 “Then I said,‘How gloriously and honorably I would set you among My childrenAnd give you a pleasant land—a wonderful heritage,The most ^abeautiful inheritance of the nations!’And I said, ‘You shall call Me, ^bMy FatherAnd not turn away from following Me.’

24 “But ^athe shameful act of idolatry has consumed the labor of our fathers since our youth—their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25 Let us lie down in our ^ashame, and let our dishonor and humiliation cover us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers; ^bfrom our youth even to this day we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.”
