Pero debes saber¹ esto: que en los últimos días^a vendrán tiempos difíciles. 2 Porque los hombres serán amadores de sí mismos^a, avaros^b, jactanciosos^c, soberbios^d, blasfemos^e, desobedientes a los padres^f, ingratos^g, irreverentes^h, 3 sin amor^a, implacables, calumniadores^b, desenfrenados¹, salvajes², aborrecedores de lo bueno^c, 4 traidores^a, impetuosos^1b, envanecidos^c, amadores de los placeres en vez de amadores de Dios^d; 5 teniendo apariencia de piedad^1a, pero habiendo negado^b su poder; a los tales evita^c. 6 Porque entre ellos están los que se meten en las casas^a y llevan cautivas a mujercillas cargadas de pecados^b, llevadas por diversas pasiones^c, 7 siempre aprendiendo, pero que nunca pueden llegar al pleno conocimiento de la verdad^a. 8 Y así como Janes y Jambres^a se opusieron a Moisés^b, de la misma maneraestos también se oponen a la verdad; hombres de mente depravada^c, reprobados en lo que respecta a la fe. 9 Pero no progresarán más, pues su insensatez será manifiesta a todos^a, como también sucedió con la de aquellos dos^b.

10 Pero tú has seguido mi enseñanza^a, conducta, propósito, fe, paciencia, amor^b, perseverancia, 11 persecuciones^a, sufrimientos^b, como los que me acaecieron en Antioquía^c, en Iconio^d y en Listra^e. ¡Qué persecuciones sufrí^f! Y de todas ellas me libró el Señor^g. 12 Y en verdad, todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús, serán perseguidos^a. 13 Pero los hombres malos e impostores irán de mal en peor^a, engañando y siendo engañados^b. 14 Tú, sin embargo, persiste en las cosas que has aprendido^a y de las cuales te convenciste, sabiendo de quiénes las has aprendido; 15 y que desde la niñez^a has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras^b, las cuales te pueden dar la sabiduría^c que lleva a la salvación mediante la fe^d en Cristo Jesús^e. 16 Toda Escritura es inspirada^a por¹ Dios y² útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir, para instruir en justicia³, 17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios^a sea perfecto¹, equipado para toda buena obra^b.

But realize this, that ^ain the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be ^alovers of self, ^blovers of money, ^cboastful, ^darrogant, ^erevilers, ^fdisobedient to parents, ^gungrateful, ^hunholy, 3 ^aunloving, irreconcilable, ^bmalicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, ^1chaters of good, 4 ^atreacherous, ^breckless, ^cconceited, ^dlovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of ^1agodliness, although they have ^bdenied its power; ^cAvoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who ^1aenter into households and captivate ^2bweak women weighed down with sins, led on by ^cvarious impulses, 7 always learning and never able to ^acome to the ¹knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as ^aJannes and Jambres ^bopposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, ^cmen of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their ^afolly will be obvious to all, just ^bas ¹Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.

10 Now you ^afollowed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, ^blove, ¹perseverance, 11 ^apersecutions, and ^bsufferings, such as happened to me at ^cAntioch, at ^dIconium and at ^eLystra; what ^fpersecutions I endured, and out of them all ^gthe Lord rescued me! 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus ^awill be persecuted. 13 But evil men and impostors ^awill proceed from bad to worse, ^bdeceiving and being deceived. 14 You, however, ^acontinue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that ^afrom childhood you have known ^bthe sacred writings which are able to ^cgive you the wisdom that leads to ^dsalvation through faith which is in ^eChrist Jesus. 16 ^aAll Scripture is ¹inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for ²training in righteousness; 17 so that ^athe man of God may be adequate, ^bequipped for every good work.

But understand this, that ^ain the last days dangerous times of great stress and trouble will come difficult days that will be hard to bear. 2 For people will be ^alovers of self narcissistic, self-focused, ^blovers of money impelled by greed, ^cboastful, ^darrogant, ^erevilers, ^fdisobedient to parents, ^gungrateful, ^hunholy and profane, 3 and they will be ^aunloving devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane, irreconcilable, ^bmalicious gossips, devoid of self-control intemperate, immoral, brutal, ^chaters of good, 4 ^atraitors, ^breckless, ^cconceited, ^dlovers of sensual pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of outward ^agodliness (religion) , although they have ^bdenied its power for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith. ^cAvoid such people and keep far away from them. 6 For among them are those who ^aworm their way into homes and captivate morally ^bweak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by the burden of their sins, easily swayed by ^cvarious impulses, 7 always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to ^acome to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as ^aJannes and Jambres the court magicians of Egypt ^bopposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, ^cmen of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless as teachers in regard to the faith. Ex 7:11 9 But they will not get very far, for their ^ameaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, ^bas was that of Jannes and Jambres.

10 Now you have diligently ^afollowed my example, that is my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, ^blove, steadfastness, 11 ^apersecutions, and ^bsufferings—such as happened to me at ^cAntioch, at ^dIconium, and at ^eLystra; what ^fpersecutions I endured, but ^gthe Lord rescued me from them all! 2+@Cor 12:10 12 Indeed, all who delight in pursuing righteousness and are determined to live godly lives in Christ Jesus ^awill be hunted and persecuted because of their faith. 13 But evil men and impostors ^awill go on from bad to worse, ^bdeceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, ^acontinue in the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced holding tightly to the truths, knowing from whom you learned them, 15 and how ^afrom childhood you have known ^bthe sacred writings (Hebrew Scriptures) which are able to ^cgive you the wisdom that leads to ^dsalvation through faith which is in ^eChrist Jesus surrendering your entire self to Him and having absolute confidence in His wisdom, power and goodness. 16 ^aAll Scripture is God-breathed given by divine inspiration and is profitable for instruction, for conviction of sin, for correction of error and restoration to obedience, for training in righteousness learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage; 17 so that ^athe ¹man of God may be complete and proficient, ^boutfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
