Por consiguiente, no hay ahora condenación^a para los que están en Cristo Jesús^1b, los que no andan conforme a la carne sino conforme al Espíritu. 2 Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús^a te¹ ha libertado² de la ley del pecado y de la muerte^b. 3 Pues lo que la ley no pudo hacer, ya que era débil por causa de la carne^a, Dios lo hizo^b: enviando a su propio Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y como ofrenda por el pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne^c, 4 para que el requisito de la ley^a se cumpliera en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu^b. 5 Porque los que viven¹ conforme a la carne^a, ponen la mente en las cosas de la carne, pero los que viven conforme al Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu^b. 6 Porque la mente puesta en la carne es muerte, pero la mente puesta en el Espíritu es vida y paz^a; 7 ya que la mente puesta en la carne es enemiga de Dios^a, porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, pues ni siquiera puede hacerlo, 8 y los que están en la carne^a no pueden agradar a Dios.

9 Sin embargo, vosotros no estáis en la carne^a sino en el Espíritu, si en verdad el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros^b. Pero si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de Él^c. 10 Y si Cristo está en vosotros, aunque el cuerpo esté muerto a causa del pecado, sin embargo, el espíritu está vivo¹ a causa de la justicia^a. 11 Pero si el Espíritu de aquel que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos habita en vosotros^a, el mismo que resucitó a Cristo Jesús de entre los muertos, también dará vida a vuestros cuerpos mortales por medio de¹ su Espíritu que habita en vosotros^b.

12 Así que, hermanos, somos deudores, no a la carne, para vivir conforme a la carne, 13 porque si vivís conforme a la carne, habréis de¹ morir; pero si por el Espíritu hacéis morir las obras de la carne^2a, viviréis^b. 14 Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios^a, los tales son hijos de Dios^b. 15 Pues no habéis recibido un espíritu de esclavitud para volver otra vez al temor^1a, sino que habéis recibido un espíritu² de adopción^b como hijos, por el cual clamamos: ¡Abba, Padre^c! 16 El Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu^a de que somos hijos de Dios^b, 17 y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo^a, si en verdad padecemos con Él a fin de que también seamos glorificados con Él^b.

18 Pues considero que los sufrimientos de este tiempo presente no son dignos de ser comparados con la gloria que nos ha de ser revelada^a. 19 Porque el anhelo profundo^a de la creación es aguardar ansiosamente la revelación de los hijos de Dios^b. 20 Porque la creación fue sometida a vanidad^a, no de su propia voluntad, sino por causa de aquel^b que la sometió, en la esperanza 21 de que la creación¹ misma será también liberada de la esclavitud de la corrupción a la libertad de la gloria de los hijos de Dios^a. 22 Pues sabemos que la creación entera a una gime y sufre^a dolores de parto hasta ahora. 23 Y nosolo ella^a, sino que también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu^b, aun nosotros mismos gemimos en nuestro interior, aguardando ansiosamente^c la adopción como hijos, la redención de nuestro cuerpo^d. 24 Porque en esperanza hemos sido salvos^a, pero la esperanza que se ve no es esperanza, pues, ¿por qué esperar lo que uno ve?^1b 25 Pero si esperamos lo que no vemos, con paciencia¹ lo aguardamos^a.

26 Y de la misma manera, también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad; porque no sabemos orar como debiéramos^a, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros^b con gemidos indecibles; 27 y aquel que escudriña los corazones^a sabe cuál es el sentir¹ del Espíritu^b, porque Él intercede por los santos^c conforme a la voluntad de Dios. 28 Y sabemos que para los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas^a cooperan para bien¹, esto es, para los que son llamados^b conforme a su propósito. 29 Porque a los que de antemano conoció^a, también los predestinó^b a ser hechos conforme a la imagen de su Hijo^c, para que Él sea el primogénito^d entre muchos hermanos; 30 y a los que predestinó^a, aesos también llamó^b; y a los que llamó, aesos también justificó^c; y a los que justificó, aesos también glorificó^d.

31 Entonces, ¿qué diremos^a a esto? Si Dios está por nosotros, ¿quién estará contra nosotros^b? 32 El que no eximió ni a su propio Hijo^a, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros^b, ¿cómo no nos concederá también con Él todas las cosas? 33 ¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios^a? Dios es el que justifica^b. 34 ¿Quién es el que condena^a? Cristo Jesús es el que murió^b, sí, más aún, el que resucitó^1c, el que además está a la diestra de Dios^d, el que también intercede por nosotros^e. 35 ¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo^1a? ¿Tribulación, o angustia^b, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada^c? 36 Tal como está escrito:POR CAUSA TUYA SOMOS PUESTOS A MUERTE TODO EL DÍA;SOMOS CONSIDERADOS COMO OVEJAS PARA EL MATADERO^a. 37 Pero en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó^a. 38 Porque estoy convencido de que ni la muerte, ni la vida^a, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir, ni los poderes^1b, 39 ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios^a que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro^b.

Therefore there is now no ^acondemnation for those who are ^bin ^cChrist Jesus. 2 For ^athe law of the Spirit of life ¹in ^bChrist Jesus ^chas set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For ^awhat the Law could not do, ^1bweak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in ^cthe likeness of ²sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the ^arequirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who ^bdo not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on ^athe things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, ^bthe things of the Spirit. 6 ^aFor the mind set on the flesh is ^bdeath, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is ^ahostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are ^ain the flesh cannot please God.

9 However, you are not ^ain the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God ^bdwells in you. But ^cif anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10 ^aIf Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is ¹alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who ^araised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, ^bHe who raised ^cChrist Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ¹through His Spirit who dwells in you.

12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— 13 for ^aif you are living according to the flesh, you ¹must die; but if by the Spirit you are ^bputting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are ^abeing led by the Spirit of God, these are ^bsons of God. 15 For you ^ahave not received a spirit of slavery ¹leading to fear again, but you ^bhave received ²a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “^cAbba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself ^atestifies with our spirit that we are ^bchildren of God, 17 and if children, ^aheirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, ^bif indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time ^aare not worthy to be compared with the ^bglory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the ^aanxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for ^bthe revealing of the ^csons of God. 20 For the creation ^awas subjected to ^bfutility, not willingly, but ^cbecause of Him who subjected it, ¹in hope 21 that ^athe creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation ^agroans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 ^aAnd not only this, but also we ourselves, having ^bthe first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves ^cgroan within ourselves, ^dwaiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, ^ethe redemption of our body. 24 For ^ain hope we have been saved, but ^bhope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But ^aif we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for ^awe do not know how to pray as we should, but ^bthe Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and ^aHe who searches the hearts knows what ^bthe mind of the Spirit is, because He ^cintercedes for the ¹saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that ¹God causes ^aall things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are ^bcalled according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He ^aforeknew, He also ^bpredestined to become ^cconformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the ^dfirstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He ^apredestined, He also ^bcalled; and these whom He called, He also ^cjustified; and these whom He justified, He also ^dglorified.

31 ^aWhat then shall we say to these things? ^bIf God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who ^adid not spare His own Son, but ^bdelivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring a charge against ^aGod’s elect? ^bGod is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who ^acondemns? Christ Jesus is He who ^bdied, yes, rather who was ^1craised, who is ^dat the right hand of God, who also ^eintercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from ^athe love of ¹Christ? Will ^btribulation, or distress, or ^cpersecution, or ^dfamine, or ^enakedness, or ^fperil, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,“^aFOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG;WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.” 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly ^aconquer through ^bHim who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither ^adeath, nor life, nor ^bangels, nor principalities, nor ^cthings present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from ^athe love of God, which is ^bin Christ Jesus our Lord.

Therefore there is now no ^acondemnation no guilty verdict, no punishment for those who are ^bin ^cChrist Jesus who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior. John 3:18 2 For ^athe law of the Spirit of life which is in ^bChrist Jesus the law of our new being ^chas set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For ^awhat the Law could not do that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power ^bbeing weakened by the flesh man’s nature without the Holy Spirit, God did: He sent His own Son in ^cthe likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son, Lev 7:37 4 so that the righteous and just ^arequirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who ^bdo not live our lives in the ways of the flesh guided by worldliness and our sinful nature, but live our lives in the ways of the Spirit guided by His power. 5 For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on ^athe things of the flesh which gratify the body, but those who are living according to the Spirit, set their minds on ^bthe things of the Spirit His will and purpose. 6 ^aNow the mind of the flesh is ^bdeath both now and forever—because it pursues sin; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever; 7 the mind of the flesh with its sinful pursuits is actively ^ahostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, 8 and those who are ^ain the flesh living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses cannot please God.

9 However, you are not living ^ain the flesh controlled by the sinful nature but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God ^blives in you directing and guiding you. But ^cif anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him and is not a child of God. Rom 8:14 10 ^aIf Christ lives in you, though your natural body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness which He provides. 11 And if the Spirit of Him who ^araised Jesus from the dead lives in you, ^bHe who raised ^cChrist Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

12 So then, ¹brothers and sisters, we have an obligation, but not to our flesh our human nature, our worldliness, our sinful capacity, to live according to the impulses of the flesh our nature without the Holy Spirit— 13 for ^aif you are living according to the impulses of the flesh, you are going to die. But if you are living by the power of the Holy Spirit you are habitually ^bputting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will really live forever. 14 For all who are allowing themselves to ^abe led by the Spirit of God are ^bsons of God. 15 For you ^ahave not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear of God’s judgment, but you ^bhave received the Spirit of adoption as sons the Spirit producing sonship by which we joyfully cry, “^1cAbba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself ^atestifies and confirms together with our spirit assuring us that we believers are ^bchildren of God. 17 And if we are His children, then we are His ^aheirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance, ^bif indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory. 18 For I consider from the standpoint of faith that the sufferings of the present life ^aare not worthy to be compared with the ^bglory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! 19 For even the whole creation all nature ^awaits eagerly for the ^bchildren of God to be ^crevealed. 20 For the creation ^awas subjected to ^bfrustration and futility, not willingly because of some intentional fault on its part, but ^cby the will of Him who subjected it, in hope Eccl 1:2 21 that ^athe creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay and gain entrance into the glorious freedom of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been ^amoaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now. Jer 12:4, 11 23 ^aAnd not only this, but we too, who have ^bthe first fruits of the Spirit a joyful indication of the blessings to come, even we ^cgroan inwardly, as we wait ^deagerly for the sign of our adoption as sons—^ethe redemption and transformation of our body at the resurrection. 2+@Cor 5:2, 4; Eph 4:30 24 For ^ain this hope we were saved by faith. But ^bhope the object of which is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But ^aif we hope for what we do not see, we wait eagerly for it with patience and composure.

26 In the same way the Spirit comes to us and helps us in our weakness. ^aWe do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but ^bthe Spirit Himself knows our need and at the right time intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. 27 And ^aHe who searches the hearts knows what ^bthe mind of the Spirit is, because the Spirit ^cintercedes before God on behalf of ¹God’s people in accordance with God’s will. Ps 139:1, 2

28 And we know with great confidence that God who is deeply concerned about us causes ^aall things to work together as a plan for good for those who love God, to those who are ^bcalled according to His plan and purpose. 29 For those whom He ^aforeknew and loved and chose beforehand, He also ^bpredestined to be ^cconformed to the image of His Son and ultimately share in His complete sanctification, so that He would be the ^dfirstborn the most beloved and honored among many believers. 30 And those whom He ^apredestined, He also ^bcalled; and those whom He called, He also ^cjustified declared free of the guilt of sin; and those whom He justified, He also ^dglorified raising them to a heavenly dignity.

31 ^aWhat then shall we say to all these things? ^bIf God is for us, who can be successful against us? Ps 118:6 32 He who ^adid not spare even His own Son, but ^bgave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against ^aGod’s elect (His chosen ones) ? ^bIt is God who justifies us declaring us blameless and putting us in a right relationship with Himself. 34 Who is the one who ^acondemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who ^bdied to pay our penalty, and more than that, who was ^craised from the dead, and who is ^dat the right hand of God ^einterceding with the Father for us. 35 Who shall ever separate us from ^athe love of ¹Christ? Will ^btribulation, or distress, or ^cpersecution, or ^dfamine, or ^enakedness, or ^fdanger, or sword? 36 Just as it is written and forever remains written,“^aFOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG;WE ARE REGARDED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER.” Ps 44:22 37 Yet in all these things we are more than ^aconquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through ^bHim who loved us so much that He died for us. 38 For I am convinced and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt that neither ^adeath, nor life, nor ^bangels, nor principalities, nor ^cthings present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from ^athe unlimited love of God, which is ^bin Christ Jesus our Lord.
