Y vi a otro ángel poderoso^1a que descendía del cielo^b, envuelto en una nube; y el arco iris estaba sobre su cabeza^c, y su rostro era como el sol^d, y sus pies como columnas de fuego^e; 2 y tenía en su mano un librito^a abierto. Y puso el pie derecho sobre el mar y el izquierdo sobre la tierra^b; 3 y gritó a gran voz, como ruge un león^a; y cuando gritó, los siete truenos emitieron¹ sus voces^b. 4 Después que los siete truenos hablaron, iba yo a escribir^a, cuando¹ oí una voz del cielo^b que decía: Sella las cosas que los siete truenos han dicho y no las escribas^c. 5 Entonces el ángel que yo había visto de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra, levantó su mano derecha al cielo^a, 6 y juró por el que vive por los siglos de los siglos^a, QUIEN CREÓ EL CIELO Y LAS COSAS QUE EN ÉL hay, Y LA TIERRA Y LAS COSAS QUE EN ELLA hay, Y EL MAR Y LAS COSAS QUE EN ÉL hay^b, que ya no habrá dilación^1c, 7 sino que en los días de la voz del séptimo ángel^a, cuando esté para tocar la trompeta, entonces el misterio de Dios será¹ consumado^b, como Él lo anunció² a sus siervos los profetas. 8 Y la voz que yo había oído del cielo^a, la oí de nuevo hablando conmigo, y diciendo: Ve, toma el libro¹ que está abierto en la mano del ángel que está de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra^b. 9 Entonces fui al ángel y le dije que me diera el librito. Y él me dijo*: Tómalo y devóralo^a; te amargará las entrañas, pero en tu boca será dulce como la miel. 10 Tomé el librito de la mano del ángel y lo devoré, y fue en mi boca dulce como la miel; y cuando lo comí, me amargó las entrañas. 11 Y me dijeron*^1a: Debes profetizar otra vez^b acerca de muchos pueblos, naciones, lenguas^c y reyes^d.

I saw another ^astrong angel ^bcoming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the ^crainbow was upon his head, and ^dhis face was like the sun, and his ^efeet like pillars of fire; 2 and he had in his hand a ^alittle book which was open. He placed ^bhis right foot on the sea and his left on the land; 3 and he cried out with a loud voice, ^aas when a lion roars; and when he had cried out, the ^bseven peals of thunder ¹uttered their voices. 4 When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, ^aI was about to write; and I ^bheard a voice from heaven saying, “^cSeal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.” 5 Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land ^alifted up his right hand to heaven, 6 ^aand swore by ^bHim who lives forever and ever, ^cWHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that ^dthere will be delay no longer, 7 but in the days of the voice of the ^aseventh angel, when he is about to sound, then ^bthe mystery of God is finished, as He ¹preached to His servants the prophets.

8 Then ^athe voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take ^bthe ¹book which is open in the hand of the angel who ^cstands on the sea and on the land.” 9 So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. And he *said to me, “^aTake it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” 10 I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. 11 And ^athey *said to me, “You must ^bprophesy again concerning ^cmany peoples and nations and tongues and ^dkings.”

Then I saw another ^amighty angel ^bcoming down from heaven, clothed in a cloud, with a ^crainbow (halo) over his head; and ^dhis face was like the sun, and his ^efeet (legs) were like columns of fire; Ex 13:21, 22; Ezek 1:26-28; Dan 7:13; Matt 17:2 2 and he had a ^alittle book (scroll) open in his hand. He set ^bhis right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land; Ezek 2:9; Hos 11:10 3 and he shouted with a loud voice, ^alike the roaring of a lion compelling attention and inspiring awe; and when he had shouted out, the ^bseven peals of thunder spoke with their own voices uttering their message in distinct words. 8 Then ^athe voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking to me, and saying, “Go, take ^bthe book (scroll) which is open in the hand of the angel who is ^cstanding on the sea and on the land.” 9 So I went up to the angel and told him to give me the little book.
