Reinado justo del Mesías

Y brotará un retoño^a del tronco de Isaí^b,y un vástago^c de sus raíces dará fruto^d.

2 Y reposará sobre Él el Espíritu del SEÑOR^a,espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia^b,espíritu de consejo y de poder^c,espíritu de conocimiento y de temor del SEÑOR.3 Se deleitará en el temor del SEÑOR,y no juzgará por lo que vean sus ojos,ni sentenciará por lo que oigan sus oídos^a;4 sino que juzgará al pobre^a con justicia^b,y fallará con equidad por los afligidos de la tierra^c;herirá la tierra con la vara de su boca^d,y con el soplo de sus labios matará al impío^e.5 La justicia será ceñidor de sus lomos^a,y la fidelidad ceñidor de su cintura^b.

6 El lobo morará con el cordero,y el leopardo se echará con el cabrito;el becerro, el leoncillo y el animal doméstico¹ andarán juntos²^a,y un niño los conducirá.7 La vaca y la osa pacerán,sus crías se echarán juntas,y el león, como el buey, comerá paja^a.8 El niño de pecho jugará junto a la cueva de la cobra,y el niño destetado extenderá su mano sobre la guarida de la víbora.9 No dañarán ni destruirán en todo mi santo monte^a,porque la tierra estará llena del conocimiento del SEÑORcomo las aguas cubren el mar^b.

10 Acontecerá en aquel díaque las naciones^a acudirán a la raíz de Isaí^b,que estará puesta como señal¹ para los pueblos^c,y será gloriosa² su morada³^d.

11 Entonces acontecerá en aquel día que el Señorha de recobrar de nuevo con su mano, por segunda vez,al remanente de su pueblo^a que haya quedadode Asiria^b, de Egipto^c, de Patros, de Cus¹, de Elam^d, de Sinar, de Hamaty de las islas² del mar^e.12 Alzará un estandarte ante las naciones^a,reunirá a los desterrados de Israel,y juntará a los dispersos de Judá^bde los cuatro confines de la tierra.13 Entonces se disipará la envidia de Efraín,y los que hostigan a Judá serán exterminados;Efraín no envidiará a Judá,y Judá no hostigará a Efraín^a.14 Y ellos se lanzarán¹^a sobre el costado de los filisteos al occidente^b,juntos despojarán a los hijos del oriente^c;Edom^d y Moab^e estarán bajo su dominio²,y los hijos de Amón les estarán sujetos³.15 Y el SEÑOR destruirá¹^ala lengua del mar de Egipto²;agitará su mano sobre el río³^bcon su viento abrasador,lo partirá en siete arroyosy hará que se pueda pasar en sandalias.16 Y habrá una calzada desde Asiria^apara el remanente que quede de su pueblo^b,así como la hubo para Israelel día que subieron de la tierra de Egipto^c.

Righteous Reign of the Branch

Then a ^ashoot will spring from the ^bstem of Jesse,And a ^cbranch from ^dhis roots will bear fruit.2 The ^aSpirit of the LORD will rest on Him,The spirit of ^bwisdom and understanding,The spirit of counsel and ^cstrength,The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.3 And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,And He will not judge by what His eyes ^asee,Nor make a decision by what His ears hear;4 But with ^arighteousness He will judge the ^bpoor,And decide with fairness for the ^cafflicted of the earth;And He will strike the earth with the ^drod of His mouth,And with the ^ebreath of His lips He will slay the wicked.5 Also ^arighteousness will be the belt about His loins,And ^bfaithfulness the belt about His waist.

6 And the ^awolf will dwell with the lamb,And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,And the calf and the young lion ¹and the fatling together;And a little boy will lead them.7 Also the cow and the bear will graze,Their young will lie down together,And the ^alion will eat straw like the ox.8 The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.9 They will ^anot hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,For the ^bearth will be full of the knowledge of the LORDAs the waters cover the sea.

10 Then in that dayThe ^anations will resort to the ^broot of Jesse,Who will stand as a ¹^csignal for the peoples;And His ^dresting place will be ²glorious.

The Restored Remnant

11 Then it will happen on that day that the LordWill again recover the second time with His handThe ^aremnant of His people, who will remain,From ^bAssyria, ^cEgypt, Pathros, Cush, ^dElam, Shinar, Hamath,And from the ¹^eislands of the sea.12 And He will lift up a ^astandard for the nationsAnd ^bassemble the banished ones of Israel,And will gather the dispersed of JudahFrom the four corners of the earth.13 Then the ^ajealousy of Ephraim will depart,And those who harass Judah will be cut off;Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,And Judah will not harass Ephraim.14 They will ^aswoop down on the slopes of the Philistines on the ^bwest;Together they will ^cplunder the sons of the east;¹They will possess ^dEdom and ^eMoab,And the sons of Ammon will be ²subject to them.15 And the LORD will ¹^autterly destroyThe tongue of the ²Sea of Egypt;And He will ^bwave His hand over the ³^cRiverWith His scorching wind;And He will strike it into seven streamsAnd make men walk over ⁴dry-shod.16 And there will be a ^ahighway from AssyriaFor the ^bremnant of His people who will be left,Just as there was for IsraelIn ^cthe day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.

Righteous Reign of the Branch

Then a ^aShoot (the Messiah) will spring from the ^bstock of Jesse David’s father,And a ^cBranch from ^dhis roots will bear fruit. Is 4:2; Matt 2:23; Rev 5:5; 22:162 And the ^aSpirit of the LORD will rest on Him—The Spirit of ^bwisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and ^cstrength,The Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the LORD—3 And He will delight in the fear of the LORD,And He will not judge by what His eyes ^asee,Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;4 But with ^arighteousness and justice He will judge the ^bpoor,And decide with fairness for the ^cdowntrodden of the earth;And He shall strike the earth with the ^drod of His mouth,And with the ^ebreath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.5 And ^arighteousness will be the belt around His loins,And ^bfaithfulness the belt around His waist.

6 And the ^awolf will dwell with the lamb,And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,And the calf and the young lion and the fatted steer together;And a little child will lead them.7 And the cow and the bear will graze together,Their young will lie down together,And the ^alion shall eat straw like the ox.8 And the nursing child will safely play over the hole of the cobra,And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den and not be hurt.9 They will ^anot hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,For the ^bearth will be full of the knowledge of the LORDAs the waters cover the sea.

10 Then in that dayThe ^anations will make supplications to the ^bRoot of JesseWho will stand as a ^csignal for the peoples;And His ^dresting place will be glorious. John 12:32

The Restored Remnant

11 Then it will happen on that day that the LordWill again acquire with His hand a second timeThe ^aremnant of His people, who will remain,From ^bAssyria, from Lower ^cEgypt, from Pathros, from Cush (Ethiopia) , from ^dElam in Persia, from Shinar Babylonia, from Hamath in Aram,And from the ^ecoastlands bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Jer 23:5-812 And He will lift up a ^asignal for the nationsAnd ^bassemble the ¹outcasts of Israel,And will gather the dispersed of JudahFrom the four corners of the earth.13 Then the ^ajealousy of ¹Ephraim will depart,And those who harass ²Judah will be cut off;Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,And Judah will not harass Ephraim.14 Ephraim and Judah will unite and ^aswoop down on the slopes of the Philistines toward the ^bwest;Together they will ^cplunder the sons (Arabs) of the east.They will possess ^dEdom and ^eMoab,And the sons of Ammon will be subject to them.15 And the LORD will ^autterly destroyThe tongue of the ¹Sea of Egypt;And with His scorching windHe will ^bwave His hand over the ^cRiver;He will strike and divide it into seven channelsAnd make it possible for people to walk over in sandals.16 And there will be a ^ahighway from AssyriaFor the ^bremnant of His people who will be left,Just as there was for Israel^cIn the day when they came up out of the land of Egypt.
