Y sucederá que cuando entres en la tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da por herencia, tomes posesión de ella y habites en ella, 2 tomarás las primicias de todos los frutos del suelo que recojas de la tierra que el SEÑOR tu Dios te da^a, y las pondrás en una canasta e irás al lugar que el SEÑOR tu Dios escoja para establecer¹ su nombre^b. 3 Y te presentarás al sacerdote que esté en funciones en esos días y le dirás: «Declaro hoy al SEÑOR mi¹ Dios que he entrado en la tierra que el SEÑOR juró a nuestros padres que nos daría». 4 Entonces el sacerdote tomará la canasta de tu mano, y la pondrá delante del altar del SEÑOR tu Dios. 5 Y responderás y dirás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios: «Mi padre fue un arameo errante^1a y descendió a Egipto y residió² allí, siendo pocos en número^b; pero allí llegó a ser una nación grande, fuerte y numerosa^c. 6 Y los egipcios nos maltrataron y nos afligieron y pusieron sobre nosotros dura servidumbre^a. 7 Entonces clamamos al SEÑOR, el Dios de nuestros padres, y el SEÑOR oyó nuestra voz y vio nuestra aflicción, nuestro trabajo y nuestra opresión^a; 8 y el SEÑOR nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte y brazo extendido, con gran terror, con señales y milagros^a; 9 y nos ha traído a este lugar y nos ha dado esta tierra, una tierra que mana leche y miel^a. 10 Ahora, he aquí, he traído las primicias de los frutos de la tierra que tú, oh SEÑOR, me has dado^a». Entonces las pondrás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios, y adorarás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios. 11 Y te alegrarás, tú y también el levita y el forastero que está en medio de ti^a, por todo el bien que el SEÑOR tu Dios te ha dado a ti y a tu casa^b.

12 Cuando acabes de pagar¹ todo el diezmo de tus frutos en el tercer año, el año del diezmo, entonces lo darás al levita, al forastero, al huérfano y a la viuda, para que puedan comer en tus ciudades² y sean saciados^a. 13 Y dirás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios: «He sacado de mi casa la porción consagrada y también la he dado al levita, al forastero, al huérfano y a la viuda conforme a todos tus mandamientos que me has mandado; no he violado¹ ni olvidado ninguno de tus mandamientos^a. 14 No he comido de ella estando de¹ luto, ni he tomado de ella mientras estaba inmundo, ni he ofrecido de ella a los muertos. He escuchado la voz del SEÑOR mi Dios; he hecho conforme a todo lo que me has mandado. 15 Mira desde tu morada santa, desde el cielo^a, y bendice a tu pueblo Israel y a la tierra que nos has dado, una tierra que mana leche y miel^b, como juraste a nuestros padres».

16 El SEÑOR tu Dios te manda hoy que cumplas estos estatutos y ordenanzas. Cuidarás, pues, de cumplirlos con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma^a. 17 Has declarado hoy que el SEÑOR es tu Dios^a y que andarás¹ en sus caminos y guardarás² sus estatutos, sus mandamientos y sus ordenanzas, y que escucharás su voz. 18 Y el SEÑOR ha declarado hoy que tú eres su pueblo, su exclusiva posesión^1a, como Él te prometió, y que debes guardar² todos sus mandamientos; 19 y que Él te pondrá¹ en alto sobre todas las naciones que ha hecho^a, para alabanza, renombre y honor; y serás un pueblo consagrado al SEÑOR tu Dios^b, como Él ha dicho.

“Then it shall be, when you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, and you possess it and live in it, 2 that you shall take some of ^athe first of all the produce of the ground which you bring in from your land that the LORD your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and ^bgo to the place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His name. 3 You shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, ‘I declare this day to the LORD ¹my God that I have entered the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.’ 4 Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God. 5 You shall answer and say before the LORD your God, ‘^aMy father was a ¹wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and ²sojourned there, ^bfew in number; but there he became a ^cgreat, mighty and populous nation. 6 And the ^aEgyptians treated us harshly and afflicted us, and imposed hard labor on us. 7 Then ^awe cried to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our affliction and our toil and our oppression; 8 ^aand the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders; 9 and He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, ^aa land flowing with milk and honey. 10 Now behold, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground ^awhich You, O LORD have given me.’ And you shall set it down before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God; 11 and you and ^athe Levite and the alien who is among you shall ^brejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you and your household.

12 “^aWhen you have finished ¹paying all the tithe of your increase in the third year, the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the ²orphan and to the widow, that they may eat in your ³towns and be satisfied. 13 You shall say before the LORD your God, ‘I have removed the sacred portion from my house, and also have given it to the Levite and the alien, the ¹orphan and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; ^aI have not transgressed or forgotten any of Your commandments. 14 I have not eaten of it ¹while mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor offered any of it to the dead. I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God; I have done according to all that You have commanded me. 15 ^aLook down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the ground which You have given us, ^ba land flowing with milk and honey, as You swore to our fathers.’

16 “This day the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances. You shall therefore be careful to do them ^awith all your heart and with all your soul. 17 ^aYou have today declared the LORD to be your God, and ¹that you would walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments and His ordinances, and listen to His voice. 18 The LORD has today declared you to be ^aHis people, a treasured possession, as He promised you, and ¹that you should keep all His commandments; 19 and ¹that He will ^aset you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor; and that you shall be ^ba consecrated people to the LORD your God, as He has spoken.”

“Then it shall be, when you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and live in it, 2 that you shall take some of ^athe first of all the produce of the ground which you harvest from the land that the LORD your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and ^bgo to the ¹place where the LORD your God chooses to establish His Name (Presence) . 3 You shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, ‘I declare this day to the LORD ¹my God that I have entered the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.’ 4 Then the priest will take the basket from you and place it before the altar of the LORD your God. 5 And you shall say before the LORD your God, ‘^aMy father Jacob was a wandering Aramean, and he along with his family went down to Egypt and ¹lived there as strangers, ^bfew in number; but while there he became a ^cgreat, mighty and populous nation. 6 And the ^aEgyptians treated us badly and oppressed us, and imposed hard labor on us. 7 Then ^awe cried out to the LORD, the God of our fathers for help, and He heard our voice and saw our suffering and our labor and our cruel oppression; 8 ^aand the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with great terror suffered by the Egyptians and with signs and with wonders; 9 and He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, ^aa land ¹flowing with milk and honey. 10 And now, look, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground ^awhich You, O LORD, have given me.’ And you shall place it before the LORD your God, and shall worship before the LORD your God; 11 and you and ^athe Levite and the stranger (resident alien, foreigner) among you shall ^brejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given you and your household.

12 “^aWhen you have finished ¹paying all the tithe of your produce the third year, which is the year of tithing, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the orphan, and to the widow, so that they may eat within the gates of your cities and be satisfied. 13 You shall say before the LORD your God, ‘I have removed the sacred portion (the tithe) from my house and also have given it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the orphan, and to the widow, in accordance with all that You have commanded me. ^aI have not transgressed or forgotten any of Your commandments. 14 I have not eaten from the tithe while mourning, nor have I removed any of it when I was ceremonially unclean making the tithe ceremonially unclean, nor offered any of it to the dead. I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God; I have done everything in accordance with all that You have commanded me. 15 ^aLook down from Your holy dwelling above, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the land which You have given us, as You have sworn to our fathers, ^ba land of plenty ¹flowing with milk and honey.’

16 “This day the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and judgments (precepts) . Therefore, you shall be careful to do them ^awith all your heart and with all your soul (your entire being) . 17 Today ^ayou have openly declared the LORD to be your God, and that you will walk that is, live each and every day in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments (precepts) , and listen to His voice. 18 Today the LORD has declared that you are ^aHis people, His treasured possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments; 19 and that He will ^aset you high above all the nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor: and that you shall be ^ba holy people set apart and consecrated to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken.”
