En el año de la muerte del rey Uzías^1a vi yo al Señor sentado sobre un trono alto y sublime^b, y la orla de su manto llenaba el templo. 2 Por encima de Él había¹ serafines; cada uno tenía seis alas^a: con dos cubrían sus rostros, con dos cubrían sus pies y con dos volaban. 3 Y el uno al otro daba voces, diciendo¹:Santo, Santo, Santo, es el SEÑOR de los ejércitos^a,llena está toda la tierra de² su gloria^b. 4 Y se estremecieron los cimientos¹ de los umbrales a la voz del que clamaba, y la casa se llenó de humo^a. 5 Entonces dije:¡Ay de mí! Porque perdido estoy^a,pues soy hombre de labios inmundos^by en medio de un pueblo de labios inmundos habito^c,porque han visto mis ojos al Rey, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos^d.

6 Entonces voló hacia mí uno de los serafines con un carbón encendido en su mano, que había tomado del altar^a con las tenazas; 7 y con él tocó mi boca, y dijo: He aquí, esto ha tocado tus labios^a, y es quitada tu iniquidad y perdonado¹ tu pecado^b. 8 Y oí la voz del Señor^a que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces respondí: Heme aquí; envíame a mí^b. 9 Y Él dijo:Ve, y di a este pueblo:«Escuchad bien, pero no entendáis;mirad bien, pero no comprendáis^a».

11 Entonces dije yo:¿Hasta cuándo, Señor^a? Y Él respondió:Hasta que las ciudades estén destruidas y sin habitantes,las casas sin gente,y la tierra completamente desolada^b;

In the year of ^aKing Uzziah’s death ^bI saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Seraphim stood above Him, ^aeach having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called out to another and said,“^aHoly, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts,The ^1bwhole earth is full of His glory.” 4 And the ¹foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the ^2atemple was filling with smoke. 5 Then I said,“^aWoe is me, for I am ruined!Because I am a man of ^bunclean lips,And I live among a ^cpeople of unclean lips;For my eyes have seen the ^dKing, the LORD of hosts.”

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the ^aaltar with tongs. 7 He ^atouched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and ^byour iniquity is taken away and your sin is ¹forgiven.”

8 Then I heard the ^avoice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then ^bI said, “Here am I. Send me!” 9 He said, “Go, and tell this people:‘Keep on ^alistening, but do not perceive;Keep on looking, but do not understand.’

11 Then I said, “Lord, ^ahow long?” And He answered,“Until ^bcities are devastated and without inhabitant,Houses are without peopleAnd the land is utterly desolate,

8 Then I heard the ^avoice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then ^bI said, “Here am I. Send me!” 9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people:‘^aKeep on listening, but do not understand;Keep on looking, but do not comprehend.’
