Cuando Israel era niño, yo lo amé,y de Egiptoa llamé a mi hijob.2 Cuanto más los llamaban los profetasa,tanto más se alejaban de ellos1;seguían sacrificando a los Baalesby quemando incienso a los ídolosc.3 Sin embargo yo enseñé a andar a Efraín,yo lo llevé en mis1 brazosa;pero ellos no comprendieron que yo los sanabab.4 Con cuerdas humanas los conduje1, con lazos de amora,y fui para ellos como quien alza el yugo de sobre sus quijadas2b;me incliné y les di de comerc.
5 No volverán1 a la tierra de Egipto,sino que Asiria será su rey,porque rehusaron volver a mía.6 La espada girará contra sus ciudadesa,destruirá sus cerrojosby los consumirá por causa de sus intrigasc.7 Pues mi pueblo se mantiene infiel contra mía;aunque ellos1 lo llaman para que se vuelva al Altísimo2,ninguno le exalta.
8 ¿Cómo podré abandonarte, Efraína?¿Cómo podré entregarte, Israel?¿Cómo podré yo hacerte1 como a Admab?¿Cómo podré tratarte como a Zeboimc?Mi corazón se conmueve dentro de mí,se enciende toda mi compasión2.9 No ejecutaré el furor de mi iraa;no volveré a destruirb a Efraín.Porque yo soy Dios y no hombrec, el Santo en medio de tid,y no vendré con furor1.10 En pos del SEÑOR caminarána,Él rugirá como un leónb;ciertamente Él rugirá,y sus hijos vendrán temblando desde el occidentec.11 De Egiptoa vendrán temblando como aves,y de la tierra de Asiriab como palomasc,y yo los estableceré en sus casas—declara el SEÑORd.
12 1Efraín me rodea de mentirasa,y de engaño la casa de Israel;Judá todavía anda lejos de Dios,y del Santo, que es fiel.

God is the Loving Father of His People
When Israel was a child a young nation, I loved him,And I acalled My son bout of Egypt. Matt 2:152 The more they the prophets acalled them to repentance and obedience,The more they went away from them;They kept bsacrificing to the BaalsAnd cburning incense to the carved images.3 Yet it is I who taught Ephraim to walk,aTaking them in My arms nurturing the young nation;But they did not know that I bhealed them.4 I aled them gently with cords of a man, with bonds of love guiding them,And bI was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke of the law over their jaws;And I bent down to them and cfed them.
5 They will not return to the land of Egypt,But Assyria will be their king bringing them into captivityBecause they arefused to return to Me.6 The asword will whirl against and fall on their cities,And will bdemolish the bars of their gates and fortificationsAnd will consume them because of their ccounsels.7 My people are bent on aturning from Me;Though the prophets call them to the One on high,None at all exalts Him.
8 aHow can I give you up, O Ephraim?How can I surrender you, O Israel?How can I make you like bAdmah?How can I treat you like 1cZeboiim?My heart recoils within Me;All My compassions are kindled together for My nation of Israel. Deut 29:239 I will anot execute the fierceness of My anger;I will not return to Ephraim to bdestroy him again.For cI am God and not man, the dHoly One in your midst who will not revoke My covenant,And I will not come in wrath or enter the city in judgment.10 They will awalk after the LORD in obedience and worship,Who will broar like a lion;He will roar summoning themAnd His sons will come ctrembling from the west.11 They will come trembling and hurriedly like birds from aEgyptAnd like bdoves from the land of cAssyria;And I will dsettle them in their houses in the land of their inheritance, declares the LORD.
12 Ephraim surrounds Me with aliesAnd the house of Israel with deceit;Judah is also unruly against God,Even against the faithful Holy One.
